Buffet is 65.5"L) x 20.5"W) x 37.5"H) The top drawer of the buffet is a divided silerware drawer, bottom drawer is a deep linen drawer, and there are 2 side storage compartments. The two arm chairs were recently reupholstered and the four side chairs have chair covers which are included. Protective table pads fot the table and the two leafs are also included. The set is 90+ years old but in goot condition.

Item: Up for auction is this professionally restored Claw Foot Parlor Table. The table is constructed of solid quartersawn oak. The table top measures 28 x 28 and it stand 30 inches tall. The glass balls in the metal talons are right at 3 inches in diameter. The table has been structurally reinforced under the top an bottom shelf to prevent any separation in the future. There are some chips in the glass balls. But fortunately most are on the underside or back and do not show when the table is in use. The only exception is shown in photo#9. This is a very well constructed, high quality table. I've tried to capture the details of its construction in the photos. The contrast in color on the top is not as dramatic as the photos would indicate. The only other imperfection is a tiny chip on the edge of the lower shelf. The terms restored and ... morerefinished are not meant to convey perfection. While the restoration process removes or minimizes imperfections, subtle signs of its age and use remain. Overall, this table is in excellent condition and should provide many years of use and beauty. Pricing: I do not use reserve pricing. I will establish what I think is a fair starting price for each item. That way potential buyers can make a choice to pursue the item or not. His Mother used to eat dinner on this table every night when she was growing up in the 30s and 40s(she is in her mid-seventies now) The bottom has a plate that says 1932. Solid oak dining room set with intricate wood grain veneer on the front and back of each chair as well as the table's base. Six chairs total. With all parts intact and ready to use. Table is in great condition save for one flaw- some of the veneer on its base has chipped off(see photos) Overall, condition of wood surfaces is excellent and could be perfected through restoration, if desired. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. There are no markings on either the table nor the chairs. The table closed is approximately 39" L X 30" W. Extended is approximately 63" L X 30" W and 29" Tall. The chairs are approximately 35" Tall, 17 1/4"W(measured at the top widest part) X approximately 16"L(measured from the front to the rear of seat) The seats have been re-done in a mauve/velveteen type of material. There are a few specks on some of the chair seats, not stains but I think it's the way the velveteen material is. Can't really make out for sure. Tried to get a picture but so small, it doesn't come out in the pictures. Very minor but did want to point it out. The chair seats pop out easily, so if you didn't like the color of the material on the seats, would be easy to replace! There is also, an engraved rose/design on the top front part of the chairs. Solid tiger oak antique(circa 1920s) table and 8 chairs(original Murphy i.d. plate) Excellent condition with 10 additional leaves. This has been in my family since it was purchased with one owner until I was given the table and chairs. I think the cut of wood is tiger or tiger eye as they call it. I'm not positive on this but an expert would be able to tell pretty easily.

This is simply a beautiful. Ornate, hand carved oak dining table made in the Jacobean/Elizabethan era style. It comes complete with 6 matching chairs, one of which is a captain's chair. It has been extremely well cared for, after all it's over a hundred years old! The bottom of the table top has been painted black, so i cannot find any markings that might indicate who made it, or the exact year. It has been reenforced with some sturdier brackets underneith. It's in fantastic shape. Two of the chairs are not featured in the pictures, but are included. The seats will need to be recovered as the threading is coming apart, but all the oak is solid and beautiful. When I purchased this set 8 years ago, I was told this was quarter sawn oak, but I can't confirm this(maybe you can tell by the pictures) The table is 5 feet long by 38 inches wide(two leaves retract under the main table) When the table is expanded it is 91 inches long. This is in good condition with wear for a dining room set of this age. One leaf will need minor adjustments to the retracting mechanism.

Just acquired out of a Private Midwest estate. We are able to offer this very nice, late 1890's to very early 1900's era ~ 54" SOLID QUARTER SAWN TIGER GOLDEN OAK ROUND CLAW FOOT TABLE ~. This is a very well made table, and is 100% all solid oak with no veneer like many you see. It is very sturdy and a nice larger size being 54 inches across and stands 30 inches tall. It does have some original factory numbers on the bottom, and I would imagine that it was made in the Grand Rapids Michigan area as most of the quality furniture is that we see in the Midwest. The over all condition is pretty good with some expected wear from age and use. The top has some wear to the finish in areas, but over all is pretty decent. I believe you could simply use some stain, or refinish it if you like. It actually looks pretty decent just the way ... moreit is. The scrolls and fan carvings really highlight the table. The table measures 40" X 42" and stands 28" tall. The double pressback oak chairs are accented by scroll and leaf carvings and have double rungs. The chairs measure 42" tall X 19 3/4" wide X 22" deep. The chairs are not original to the table.
