The legs need some work and although the top has been refinished, it shows some spots that are imperfect. This table belonged to my husband's Grandparents. His Mother used to eat dinner on this table every night when she was growing up in the 30s and 40s(she is in her mid-seventies now) The bottom has a plate that says 1932. This elegant dining set came from an Estate in Pebble Beach. Ca. It is believed to be over 100 years old. I can't find much information on the style or age, so maybe someone in Ebay Land can enlighten me. This group is oak and has a beautiful patina finish due to the age and wear. It is in very good condition and has been in the same family for years. The chair seats have the original upholstry tacks and most likely the original fabric. They are also in very good condition with some minor wear. There is a host chair and 5 side chairs. All have high carved backs and the host chair has upholstery on the back as well as the seat. Dating to the 1930 to 1950 time period. This American set is constructed of solid Oak with gorgeous Burl Walnut decorative veneers. It has an English Jacobean look with a Spanish Revival or Moorish flair, and is sure to attract attention and garner compliments. Hardware is original, with vintage KBC( Keeler Brass Company) drawer pulls. The set consists of the following: Dining Table. Two individual pull-out leaves give this Table enormous flexibility. With both leaves stowed. The Table measures 66 inches in length. With one leave out, the Table extends to 84 inches in length. Early 1930's Tudor Oak Dining Room Table with Server - original owner's family
Tudor oak dining room table with extendable ends. 6 matching chairs(1 has arms) and a two-door server same style. Purchased new in the early 1930's. The table top was never used without a pad on it-like new! This set has been in dry storage in a smoke-free house for 30 years. The glued-on round facades on 3 sides on the bottom of one leg of one chair are missing. Some chair seats have a few stains, but the fabric is in very good condition. Table pads are included. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. This is simply a beautiful. Ornate, hand carved oak dining table made in the Jacobean/Elizabethan era style. It comes complete with 6 matching chairs, one of which is a captain's chair. It has been extremely well cared for, after all it's over a hundred years old! The bottom of the table top has been painted black, so i cannot find any markings that might indicate who made it, or the exact year. It has been reenforced with some sturdier brackets underneith. It's in fantastic shape. Two of the chairs are not featured in the pictures, but are included. The seats will need to be recovered as the threading is coming apart, but all the oak is solid and beautiful. This is in good condition with wear for a dining room set of this age. One leaf will need minor adjustments to the retracting mechanism.

From an early. New York estate, Probably the original owners since new. Dates to the 1920s or so. Original finish, sound, intact and nice. No readily visible maker's mark but must be marked somewhere on one of the pieces. I will look again when I return to the estate. Set includes the extension table with pull out leaves. Six(6) Chairs, long sideboard, tall china cabinet and smaller server. Carved Wall Mirror is included however I am unsure if it is original to this set.
