Quality craftsmanship through and through– very solid and study. The table is an octagon shape with great detailing on the legs and base. Table opens to fit one 18” leaf– custom pads can be used to protect the top. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. Only minor marks on wood from use. Tabletop is in excellent condition with minor scratches and some minor marks along edge. Upholstery is slightly worn in places but there are no holes or tears/rips. Reminiscent of a time when the world was changing from the bold angular Arts and Craft style to the softer curving Art Nouveau style. This pecan dining room set was manufactured by the now closed Unique Furniture Makers Company of Winston-Salem, N.C. The Unique factory was founded in 1854 as the Spach Bros. Wagon Works and was known for wagons of excellent quality and workmanship. The company began to focus their excellence on the production of furniture in 1925, ceased to make wagons in 1928, and continued to manufacture fine quality furniture well into the 1970's. This dining room furniture set includes an incredibly versatile rectangular table. Six elegant chairs, and a buffet. Vintage Rancho California Monterey Style Dining Room Set
This is a unique rare vintage piece of Old California style known as Monterey Style or Imperial furniture and is made of solid wood. Maybe alder. It belonged to my grandmother who bought it. I believe, in the 1930’s or 1940’s. This charming(Spanish) set originally featured hand painted pots and flowers on it but was covered when refinished. The set is in good shape. With very few scratches, as it was refinished about 10 yrs ago. It is relatively small compared to modern dining room sets. The hutch comes in 2 pieces. It is 58 ½” high. 18” deep and 34 ½” wide with 1 drawer on the bottom and 2 shelves on the top. The table measures 30” wide. 30” high, 44” long and when extended with the side leaves it measures 66 ½” long. Table dimensions are: 60" x 40" without leaf and 72" x 40" with leaf. Height is 30" Table top pad is included in purchase. Buffet features 2 side cabinets and 2 center drawers = 60" wide x 19.5" deep x 39" tall. The hutch has two shelves and 1 drawer = 35.5" wide x 15" deep x 72.5" tall. Glass front is cracked but can be easily replaced. The pulls on the drawers are beautifully crafted and unique. There are some scratches and mars, dings and other imperfections. Oak veneer table top with solid oak baluster turned legs joined by an H-form stretcher. Visible water rings on table top(see photo) and veneer is delaminated on small section of one table extension(not visible when not extended) The arm chair and five side chairs are solid oak frames. Baluster turned legs with open back panels and carved crests. The padded seats are durable cloth that can easily be updated if desired. The matching solid oak buffet has two carved front drawers and dual cabinets with paneled doors with carved fronts. Buffet is 59" by 20" by 35" high with oak veneer top. Spanish Renaissance/Mediterranean Style Trestle Table 11pc Dining Room Set
Beautiful Spanish Renaissance/Mediterranean Style 8 Seat Solid Oak Dining Room Set. The large rectangular trestle table is made of 2 solid pieces of oak that can be separated allowing 2 extensions to be added. The table with no extensions still fits all 8 chairs; the side chairs very close together. The table measures 90"L x 44"W with no extensions. Each extension adding 18" in length(spot in finish on one of the extensions) Around the edge of the table is a wide dentil style trim. The 2 trestle supports are heavily carved in a Spanish Renaissance/Mediterranean style motif. The 2 levels of carvings are supported by 2 fluted block legs on each side. There is a simple stretcher spanning the distance between each trestle support. Both the tabletop and supports are in excellent condition. Minimal signs of wear. The oak dining chairs ... moreconsist of 2 arm chairs and 6 side chairs. All with barley twist carvings. The arm chairs front legs, side supports, stretchers, and arms are all in the barley twist style. The armrests are rounded at the end and contoured on the interior side. The back legs are both simple legs. The chair is finished at the top with 2 metal finials which are formed to look like an acorn or flowering bud. All 8 chair backrests are adorned with these finials. The side chairs are identical to the armchairs minus the arms and arm supports, and their smaller size. The seats and backrests are covered in soft fabric that consists of different colored stripes and striped patterns, bands of overlapping garlands and florals. There is a striking contrast between the red stripe and the off-white background color. The other patterns provide pops of yellow, pink, green, and purple. The fabric covering the chairs is in excellent condition; minor stains and wear if any to the seat cushions(one noticeable stain to seat cushion on one of the arm chairs) This is the perfect dining room set for a large dining area or open concept room. Illinois. I believe the furniture maker was called Empire. LTD, as there are emblems inside the furniture with this name on them. Absolutely stunning and gorgeous detail in every piece. Very ornate throughout. Each piece is in very good condition. Minor scrapes and scratches due to age on several pieces. As can be seen in the photos. This set has barely been used. When my grandmother inherited the set. She placed it in climate-controlled inside storage in her house for ... morethe past 3 decades. She hasn't used since early 1980's. She gave me this set shortly before she passed. It's a beautiful set. But too big for my house. Due to size, this set definitely belongs in a bigger house than mine. My great-grandparents had this set up in their mansion near Chicago. When my grandmother inherited. She stored in in one of her rooms in her big house. One larger white discoloration on table(see photo) This table includes 4 extra 13" leaves! This table can measure up to 120 inches long! that is 10 feet! Very beautiful and well kept.
