Description Vintage French Dining Table with 6 chairs We are so excited to be able to offer you a few exquisite pieces from a local estate. The consignee is moving and felt they could part with just a few things and that makes this your lucky day! This lovely French dining table and 6 chairs was made especially for her grandfather when they lived in France in the 20's and 30's. It appears to be a lovely oak. The pieces are in very good condition. There are a few spots where the finish has been compromised however some TLC would quickly repair most of those. Besides. I think those things add character! Three of the chairs have the original cane seats and three of them have replacement wooden seats but the holes for the caning are still intact. The table is 73" long with the leaf(which is 30" long) 52" wide and 27 1/2" ... morehigh. The chairs are each 38" high at the back and 17" high at the seat. The seats ore 14" in the back and 17" along the front edge. As you can see by the photos. There has been some repair to the underside of the table to make it sturdier. France and imported to it's current location in Charleston, SC. This high quality solid oak furniture was manufactured somewhere between the 1900 and the early to mid-twentieth century. FABULOUS DINING ROOM TABLE AND CHAIRS BEAUTIFUL ART DECO DINING FURNITURE FROM FRANCE CIRCA 1930s The rectangular table extends out on either end by leaves built into the table When leaves are not in use the table measures 39" x 51" and is 29" tall With both leaves fully extended the table measures 91" x 39" Each leaf is 20" in length. The main table top is free from scratches or damages. The table legs and base are also free of damages. The extensions have some surface scratches that do no detract from the appearance of the table when fully extended. There is a deep scratch on one of the leaves which I have shown in one of the photos. It is located near an edge and is not readily apparent. Six oak chairs with solid pressed and scalloped backs are also included. The backs consist of three layers of pressed and ... moremolded oak and are 1/2" thick. They measure 20" x 14" and the seats are cushioned with padding covered with naugahyde and measure 18" x 16" The chairs are also in very good condition. There is a small nick on one chair back that is not readily detectable and one of the cushions was nicked by something sharp prior to when I bought the set. They can easily be recovered if you would prefer a different look. I believe that with furniture such as dining sets. The scrapes and scratches acquired over the years lends character to the piece. The glass one measuring 25 1/2" diameter, as well as a painted masonite top(which I believe to be the original top) measuring 23 1/2" diameter. The glass ... moretop sits on the top of the table base which is protected with clear silicone tubing on the metal ring, to give the glass tabletop a secure non-slip grip, from the iron base to the glass. When you choose to use the other top, there are four wooden cleats on the bottom that fit over the base to hold it securely(one of the wooden cleats is a replacement) The table height is 27" and the chair height at the seat is 17" One of the chair cushions has a small 1/4" tear in the vinyl about 1 1/2" in from the edge, nothing too serious(could be easily repaired) mentioned for accuracy. Two of the chair feet are non-matching replacements, this is easily remedied by a trip to the hardware store, which I will leave it to the winning bidder. There are seven pieces in total that are included with this bistro set, a table base, two interchangeable table tops, two chairs and two chair cushions. Beautiful burled acacia wood dining set consisting of a banded dining table with two leaves(with aprons) Two armchairs and 4 side chairs, a large server buffet, and a china cabinet(with gorgeous bubble glass) All pieces have carved knees and other carving as well. The table measures 60" x 42" wide, while closed, and each leaf adds an additional 12-18" I have these put away right now but will try to measure later) With the two leaves it expands to about 7 feet. Due to age(circa 1950-19560) a few of the carved inlays. Are missing but, in my opinion, this does not detract from the beauty/uniqueness of the set. Unfortunately, a few were missing when it came into my possession from my sister, who had gotten it from my parents. Afterall, we are talking about a table that is at least 50 years old and has been moved a few times. I ... moredon't know too much about this set other than it previously belonged to my parents(it was in our home for aver 30 years) and I acquired it after my marriage(from my sister who had gotten from my parent when she purchased a house) However. Absolutely gorgeous antique inlaid dining table and chairs. There are four side chairs and two arm chairs. Custom nailhead upholstery on chairs with designer fabric. Set was purchased at an antique store in Camden. SC in 2000 for $5,500. Top of the table has a few places where the inlaid has come up a tiny bit, obvious wear to a table so old. It only adds to its character but could be easily repaired if so desired. The upholstery on the chairs could use a steam cleaning and under the table one of the sliders has come unattached as seen in the picture. Again, easily repaired. 1930s ART DECO French Zebra Mahogany Dining Table 79" by 39" with three leaves
I purchased this table in 1986 from the estate of the Canadian Ambassador to France in Ottawa Canada. It is beautiful and something you might see in a five star hotel lobby. The top is 79" by 39" and is starburst pattern zebra mahogany. It is edged in a darker mahogany. And the base of the top in inlaid mahogany diamonds with two ormolu trim of wreaths and arrows at each corner. The legs are cylinders. Zebra mahogany, mahogany and dark mahogany inlay floating on an ormolu ball. The base is a starburst zebra mahogany patter. And the edges of the base trimmed out in ormolu acanthus pattern so resting feet do not scratch the base. There are an additional three 16" leaves that match and make the table large enough to accommodate 8-10 guests. The base is stationary. But the top opens to accommodate the leaves which have ormalu pins ... moreto connect them. The condition is very good with some patina commensurate with the age of the piece. A beautiful cherry french provincial style dining table attributed to Widdicomb. The table has a shaped top and graceful cabriole legs. There are 3 18" leafs which extends the table to a full 118" long to accommodate your dining parties. There is a swing down center support for use when fully extended to give extra stability. There is no label on the table but it came with a matching buffet that is clearly labeled Widdicomb. Dimensions are 64" long by 44" wide by 29" tall without leaves. Very good original condition.
