Impressive solid Oak Dining Set consisting of a large Table with six(6) Chairs. A Buffet, and a Court Cupboard, circa 1940. We are pleased to present this vintage Dining Set for your consideration. Dating to the 1930 to 1950 time period. This American set is constructed of solid Oak with gorgeous Burl Walnut decorative veneers. It has an English Jacobean look with a Spanish Revival or Moorish flair, and is sure to attract attention and garner compliments. Hardware is original, with vintage KBC( Keeler Brass Company) drawer pulls. The set consists of the following: Dining Table. Two individual pull-out leaves give this Table enormous flexibility. With both leaves stowed. The Table measures 66 inches in length. With one leave out, the Table extends to 84 inches in length. With both leaves, the Table becomes a spacious 102 inches in length. ... moreIt is 38 inches wide and 30-3/4 inches in height. The Table has minimal age appropriate wear with no damage or significant problems. We rate the overall condition as very good to excellent(see pictures) Six(6) Chairs. Includes one captain(or carver) Chair plus five(5) side Chairs. The top of each Chair has an unusual decorative applied trim piece made of a vintage resin material(see picture#8) We at first thought it was made of wood. But a few spots are worn smooth revealing the true material. All Chairs are impressively ornate, with extensive carved and turned wood. The fabric covering on each is in good shape. We rate their overall condition as very good. Court Cupboard. A tall piece. It measures 65 inches high, 43 inches wide, and is 18-1/2 inches deep. It provides two spacious enclosed cupboards, each with a single shelf, separated by a drawer in the middle. Some water ring stains are seen on the interior shelves, but nothing penetrating the surface. Doors open and close with ease, and the door latches work properly. Burrow Brothers 1900's jacobean style 9 pc diningroom set
This set is made by Burrows bros from Picture Rock Pa.The co. started by Sabin Burrows sarted making beds in 1856 moving on to variuos other items until the factory closed 1939! I do have info from Picture Rock's library that was sent to me will trying to find in on my set that i will gladly include with the set. When we bought this set there was 1 owner that passed away and sold in auction to us for 1750.00. This is a 9 piece set consisting of small server that has one door in front with original hardware size is 17 1/2" deep 38" long 34 1/2" tall with addition 5 1/2" tall backsplash the balls are 14" round! large server that has 2 doors and 2 drawers 1 having the removable silverware tray. It is 21 1/2" deep 72" long 39 1/2" tall with additional 5 1/2" backsplash balls 14" round table ... moreis 44x 60 with no additional leaves 30 1/2" tall balls are 20" as you can see in the photo it has a massive center leg and ornate design! it does still have original table pad( this is what i was told) the set has 4 chairs and 1 arm chair they are 17" deep and 18 1/2" wide 17 1/2" floor to seat. thses do need to be rdone as the are loose china cabinet has a bowed type top and has 2 shelves inside and 1 drawer it is 71 1/2" tall 15" deep 44 1/2" wide the balls are 14" The table. Both servers and china cabinet are on what seems to be wooden rollers. This is a beautiful set but does need to be refinished! It is in fine condition with leg rollers still attached. According to the previous owner. The only modification was the resurfacing of the table top. This is simply a beautiful. Ornate, hand carved oak dining table made in the Jacobean/Elizabethan era style. It comes complete with 6 matching chairs, one of which is a captain's chair. It has been extremely well cared for, after all it's over a hundred years old! The bottom of the table top has been painted black, so i cannot find any markings that might indicate who made it, or the exact year. It has been reenforced with some sturdier brackets underneith. It's in fantastic shape. Two of the chairs are not featured in the pictures, but are included. The seats will need to be recovered as the threading is coming apart, but all the oak is solid and beautiful. My Mother-in-law bought this set from her sister some years ago and she does not have room for it after downsizing her home. Style Jacobean, hand carved of English red oak, vintage 1900-1920's. The pieces are so very functional and well made- strong enough to last another 100 years. Up for is a beautiful Jacobean oak dining room table. 6 chairs, and a buffet. There are 5 chairs and 1 arm chair. The table has leaves at each end that slide out from under the top. The whole set was refinished at some point and the chairs professionally recovered. There are some small issues with the table top. there is a dark stained area and small area in a corner where the veneer delaminated prior to the refinishing. Including one captains chair. The previous owner re-upholstered over the old covering so, chances are, the original horsehair padding is still there. It measures 38" wide by 60" long. 100 Year Old Jacobean Style Mahogany Dining Table & 6 Chairs & Buffet
This solid mahogany Jacobean style antique table. 6 chairs, and matching buffet have been in our family since 1970. Prior to our purchase the wealthy owners purchased it new sometime between 1890- 1930. It was refinished in the 1970s but requires repair work. It is a great set for that person that loves antiques and beautiful wood furniture. The table has six large carved legs and the edge of the table top is carved as well. The six chairs have the same carved legs to match. The chairs are able to be recovered with fabric. Currently they are covered in upholstery fabric that is hunter green with tan horses. Because our dining room is sunny the fabric has faded. The beautiful buffet chest is 6 feet wide. 22.5 inches deep, and 37.5 inches tall. It has 4 of the 6 legs are carved to match the table and chairs. There are two cubbies on either ... moreside that is the depth of the cabinet and 16" tall by 14" wide. The two drawers are in the middle and slightly over 36" wide, as deep as the cabinet, and the top drawer is 6" deep with an internal sliding silverware tray. While the bottom drawer is 7.25 inches deep. This one-of-kind vintage dining set would be a great investment for that do-it-yourself project because it will be worth much more refurbished! Measurements: table is 5 feet long. 45.5 inches wide. The molding on the sides of the table is 4.5 inches deep. All 6 chairs can be seated at the table comfortably at the same time. 1930's Jacobean style dining set includes expanding table. 6 matching chairs and buffet. 38" x 60" table extends to 90" and seats 6. Oak veneer table top with solid oak baluster turned legs joined by an H-form stretcher. Visible water rings on table top(see photo) and veneer is delaminated on small section of one table extension(not visible when not extended) The arm chair and five side chairs are solid oak frames. Baluster turned legs with open back panels and carved crests. The padded seats are durable cloth that can easily be updated if desired. The matching solid oak buffet has two carved front drawers and dual cabinets with paneled doors with carved fronts. Buffet is 59" by 20" by 35" high with oak veneer top. Drawer and door hardware is original. The leg base is a little rough shape but well worth reconditioning the base. Normal wear for antique vintage furniture. This table can seat 12 people, an official Thanksgiving dinner table that no one will be sitting at the card table in the kitchen. Dimensions are 110in. long 39 in. wide 30 1/2 in. high. 1892 ANTIQUE HONDURAN MAHOGANY JACOBEAN DINING TABLE AND 6 CHAIRS W/NEEDLEPOINT
This is a gorgeous set. Perfect for a quaint dining room. It measures 45"wide by 60" long by 30 1/2" high. It is a smaller set which would work wonderfully in a smaller dining area. Comfortably seats six. The chairs measure 38" high by 20" wide. Captain's chair is slightly bigger. The set was made in 1892. Crafted from Honduran Mahogany. The seats are each a different floral pattern by Paragon Needleworks. The Captain's chair needs repair work on the seat to realign the top of the seat. The other chairs have some glue drips here and there that would be typical of a set this old. Overall, the set is in very good condition. The table top is clean without major marks, and the woodwork is intricate and lovely. I am doing a surface clean-up but a more thorough cleanup of the chairs would be recommended.
