Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. There are 6 chairs and 2 extra leaves for the table. Some small scratches are on the table but you have to look for them. The third to last picture shows one slight blemish. The color is off in that picture. The set is in excellent condition. Beautifully crafted and lots of style. The table has custom pads. You can make the table smaller by dropping one or both of the ends. Or you can extend it with extra leaves. The leaves are a higher gloss than the rest of the table. 1930s Hoosier Table with"The Watertown Slide" extention This beautiful old. Unique, antique table is absolutely gorgeous and only has a few flaws as anything this old would. The legs need some work and although the top has been refinished, it shows some spots that are imperfect. This table belonged to my husband's Grandparents. His Mother used to eat dinner on this table every night when she was growing up in the 30s and 40s(she is in her mid-seventies now) The bottom has a plate that says 1932. It's mechanism allowed it to be stored with the table when a leaf(or extention) was not needed. It was called"The Watertown Slide. You simply pull the table apart, push up the leaf and gently push it back together again. There arent very many of these tables around anymore. This Berkey& Gay dining set consists of a 3-leaf table. 8 chairs, 1 china hutch, 1 buffet and 1 sideboard. It is made of walnut, with many sections being bookmatched figured walnut- absolutely beautiful. All pieces are matching, and feature the metal medallion used in Berkey& Gay's furniture from the 1920's-1940's. Our best guess is that these pieces were made in the 20's. They're in excellent condition for this vintage. You'll see some very slight damage, shown in the last 4 photos. There is a leg underneath the table that swings out on both sides to make this a very large table. The table does show some wear and is not new or perfect but is very usable the way it is. This dining room set was my grandmothers. She purchased it in the mid 1940's before I was born. The furniture has been in storage since she passed away in 2004. My taste in furniture is more rustic so I have no use for this furniture and I'm sure she would want me to find someone who would love it as much as she did. The furniture was refinished in 2008 but due to being moved it has sustained a few scratched and nicks. Nothing that cannot easily be repaired. The table is 38" x 72" with the leaf. The leaf is 16" There are some small scratches and a nick on the chairs. The rose fabric was put on over the original green and beige striped fabric. The seat cushion fabric is easily and inexpensively changed. The china hutch is 38" wide and 69" tall it has a small bit of damage to the lower edge. FABULOUS DINING ROOM TABLE AND CHAIRS BEAUTIFUL ART DECO DINING FURNITURE FROM FRANCE CIRCA 1930s The rectangular table extends out on either end by leaves built into the table When leaves are not in use the table measures 39" x 51" and is 29" tall With both leaves fully extended the table measures 91" x 39" Each leaf is 20" in length. The main table top is free from scratches or damages. The table legs and base are also free of damages. The extensions have some surface scratches that do no detract from the appearance of the table when fully extended. There is a deep scratch on one of the leaves which I have shown in one of the photos. It is located near an edge and is not readily apparent. Six oak chairs with solid pressed and scalloped backs are also included. The backs consist of three layers of pressed and ... moremolded oak and are 1/2" thick. They measure 20" x 14" and the seats are cushioned with padding covered with naugahyde and measure 18" x 16" The chairs are also in very good condition. There is a small nick on one chair back that is not readily detectable and one of the cushions was nicked by something sharp prior to when I bought the set. They can easily be recovered if you would prefer a different look. I believe that with furniture such as dining sets. The scrapes and scratches acquired over the years lends character to the piece. I purchased the set in the exact same condition it is in today. I have owned the set for about 7 years. But for most of that time it was rarely used. I am pleased to offer for your consideration. This exquisite antique Queen Anne Revival Formal Dining Suite in hand-carved walnut with mirror-matched burl facings. This NINE-piece ensemble includes a China Hutch. Buffet, Table, and Six Chairs. This Suite was manufactured for and sold by Jos. Mendleson, Inc. Fine Furniture, 686 Main Street, Buffalo, New York, and I believe that it dates back to the 1930's-1940's. This Suite is magnificently styled in the Classic 1740's Queen Anne fashion. With sweeping lines, and bowed legs, profusely adorned with hand-carved ornamentation featuring the classical Palmette Anthemion Motif. It is REAL hand-carved wood. And it is masterfully executed! As far as the Condition: The Seat Cushions are the Original Velvet Brocade fabric in the Palmette Motif. And they NEED to be Re-upholstered. In fact, ... morethe previous owner removed two of the cushions and tried to'DYI' Don't worry. they didn't get far with the project. And I have ALL the original seat bases, padding, and even the removed original fabric. I am certain that whoever buys this suite will want to select just the right fabric to work with their decor scheme. The condition of the wood and finish is in surprising good condition. The finish is original.There are some minor little dings and scratches. And yes they are MINOR and few and far between. The worst being on the lower legs of the chairs, and even that is not very noticeable, and a little scratch cover or lemon oil would probably take care of it. The'sheen' of the finish on the China Hutch is a little uneven, sort of'blotchy' but you only notice it at certain angles. Overall I would rate the finish at 90% +. The carpentry is in wonderful shape, both structurally and cosmetically. Everything is tight and solid. I can find no repairs. All the solid brass hardware and fasteners are original. VINTAGE 1940's Virginia House Dining Room Set Includes 60-84" x 38" x 29"high table; 6) Chairs. Including one arm chair; 60" x 20" x 36" high Side Board/ Buffet Table. Dining Table has Self Storing Extensions taking 60" to 84" in length. There are some scratches as seen on pictures on the extensions. Top of main table is in very good-excellent condition for its age. Table Pads are included(pics available on request, there was not enough room to include all pictures) Off-white vinyl chair pads in very good condition. Chair backs are in very good condition; one of the more poor condition backs is as pictured. The others are in very good shape.
