This elegant dining set came from an Estate in Pebble Beach. Ca. It is believed to be over 100 years old. I can't find much information on the style or age, so maybe someone in Ebay Land can enlighten me. This group is oak and has a beautiful patina finish due to the age and wear. It is in very good condition and has been in the same family for years. The chair seats have the original upholstry tacks and most likely the original fabric. They are also in very good condition with some minor wear. There is a host chair and 5 side chairs. All have high carved backs and the host chair has upholstery on the back as well as the seat. France and imported to it's current location in Charleston, SC. This high quality solid oak furniture was manufactured somewhere between the 1900 and the early to mid-twentieth century. In addition to the wonderful condition, the beautiful wood grain is highlighted by the highly detailed carvings and the parquet oak and burl top alongside fabulous heavy carved full size dining chairs with leather seats, secured with a complete set of decorative brass tacks. First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique set has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this set end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. What we do know is that this piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. This set is solid oak with a medium finish. The parquet top is solid. Not veneer. Gorgeous antique. Hand carved oak dining table with hard to find draw leaves and matching side chairs with nail head trim. Table measures 59" in length x 30.25 inches in height and 39.25" in width. The draw leaves are 24.5" in length adding an additional 4 feet to the length of this table for an overall extended length of 108 inches(9 feet) Chairs will need to be upholstered as they have some wear and minor stains. Table has some water stains and a few small scratches, but no major blemishes. The set has been in storage for several months and will need some TLC. This is a solid oak and very heavy table. This is simply a beautiful. Ornate, hand carved oak dining table made in the Jacobean/Elizabethan era style. It comes complete with 6 matching chairs, one of which is a captain's chair. It has been extremely well cared for, after all it's over a hundred years old! The bottom of the table top has been painted black, so i cannot find any markings that might indicate who made it, or the exact year. It has been reenforced with some sturdier brackets underneith. It's in fantastic shape. Two of the chairs are not featured in the pictures, but are included. The seats will need to be recovered as the threading is coming apart, but all the oak is solid and beautiful. From an early. New York estate, Probably the original owners since new. Dates to the 1920s or so. Original finish, sound, intact and nice. No readily visible maker's mark but must be marked somewhere on one of the pieces. I will look again when I return to the estate. Set includes the extension table with pull out leaves. A stunning dining room set with a king's chair. 6 chairs total, china cabinet and small buffet server with drawer. Formerly owned by a designer for Christian Dior, he drew a fashion sketch on the underside of the table. Berkey and Gay 1930's Carved Oak Dining Set 5 Chairs Buffet
This oak dining room set bears the make of Berkey and Gay and the Simmons Co. Who bought Berkey and Gay in 1929 and owned the Co thru 1935. The set has been in my Chicago family since the 1930's. Some may call it a Jacobean style, but I think of it as Art Deco. The table measures 60 inches long and 40 wide. There is a built in 18 inch leaf on each end which adds another 3 feet. There are four chairs, the fifth with arms. The seats are covered in a turquoise cotton and are not original, but easy to replace. The buffet stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 3 feet 9 inches across. It has one long drawer and then two shelves inside the bottom drawers and the pulls are original. Because it is at least 80 years old, the set has some chips and could be refinished. 1930's VINTAGE ANTIQUE GIMBELS CARVED SOLID OAK DINING ROOM SET
For sale is a 9 Piece Jacobean style dining room set from the 1930's. It was originally purchased at Gimbels in New York. It is in very good condition. The only area of concern is water damage on the top of the table(as pictured) It can probably be stained to cover it up. Other than that it is in like new original condition. Has been sitting in a smoke and pet free home. Polished every week by a cleaning lady for 30 years. The upholstery on the chairs is in excellent condition. Some minor scratches on chair legs. Includes recent custom made table pads. NEEDS NOTHING. This beautiful set was just acquired from a prominent, spotless smoke and pet free estate.

The finish is in excellent condition on oak with matched grain panels. Authentic carving is richly detailed on this classic furniture. Frames have been reglued to be strong and durable for another generation. The table has two 18" pull out"draw" leaves. Measurements are 38" wide. 31" tall, 5' long when closed and 8' long with the leaves pulled out. Chairs are newly upholstered. The arm chair measures 26" wide. 24" deep and 48" tall.
