With blue ice top and chrome sides and legs, it seats 4 as is or pulls apart for a leaf(which is included) to seat 6. the ... morechrome around edge is great shine no rust, the legs were rusty and instead of using nevr-dull which would make them shiny we painted with aluminum paint which is now chipping in places as shown. the top has a pot burn mark as shown and a small hole as shown, we had a centerpiece and napkin holder hiding the flaws. the leaf top is great the chrom slides on and off for easier storage, but we had it a little to close to the steam heat and it damaged the back wood of the leaf as shown, it's underneath. otherwise good used vintage condition. This Berkey& Gay dining set consists of a 3-leaf table. 8 chairs, 1 china hutch, 1 buffet and 1 sideboard. It is made of walnut, with many sections being bookmatched figured walnut- absolutely beautiful. All pieces are matching, and feature the metal medallion used in Berkey& Gay's furniture from the 1920's-1940's. Our best guess is that these pieces were made in the 20's. They're in excellent condition for this vintage. You'll see some very slight damage, shown in the last 4 photos. The actual date of the furniture is believed to be 1920's- 1930's. The current owners state that this was originally purchased from a very rich family in Cincinnati. OH. The table is 30" high. 34" wide, and 58" long without the leaves extended. It has 2 end self-storing leaves- each leaf being 19" Hence, with one leaf extended is ... more7" and with both extended is 96" or 8 feet long. The four side chairs are 16-1/2" wide and 16-1/2" deep. You are about to bid on a 3 piece set. One oval table and 2 chairs. They did not start out as a set. But they sure look great as one. The chairs are old and in original condition with extensive paint loss. The table is an old base, added to a top made of old industrial steel, but the bent tubing that makes the smooth edge around the table top is relatively new. The table top measures 48 by 20 inches. It stands 30 inches tall like any other dining or kitchen table. The chairs take up a floor space that is about 20 by 20 inches and the backs are about 36 inches tall. If the feet of the chairs look funny to you, it is the rubber caps that were added to keep them from scratching the hardwood floors. They come right off if you don't want them. This is just a real hip look for a breakfast nook or great set for a small kitchen. A table this ... moresize could just as easily be moved to the dining room to serve as a small serving table, or put it behind a couch as a sofa table. Duncan Phyfe styling with the not so often seen plume and drape design on the chair backs. Nicely turned double base with brass claw foot ends. Set includes the table and 6 chairs. Which is the 5 side chairs and 1"host or hostess" chair which was the standard set type back in the day. There are no leaves anymore. You will need to have the chair seats recovered again. I do have the pattern from when the old/original was removed in order to refinish it. The lighter refinishing on the chair seat ends is because the fabric overlapped and was ended with brass studs-see the last picture of how it originally looked. Van Sciver Dining Room Furniture Suite
Our Van Sciver Dining Room set is an example of sesquicentennial furniture produced in Camden. New Jersey in the late 1920's to very early 1930's. In 1926 Americans celebrated a 150 year anniversary. During this time furniture producers and decorators were competing to produce pieces reminiscent of the country's beginnings. This set combines the sturdy construction of the Jacobean style from the 17th century with early 20th century production techniques. This Dining Room Set appears to have been produced in a combination of Walnut and Burl veneer. The set consists of the following pieces: 1. A dining room table that measures 42" x 60" at 30" high. It opens to 84" by adding two(2) leaves. The table includes the original pads for it at any desired length. 2. Five(5) matching dining room chairs with upholstered ... moreseats. These have been re-upholstered within the last 10 years. The fiddle back chairs are in varied condition from poor to good. The missing parts of the fiddle backs for those chairs that I describe as being in"poor condition"see photo detail) are included. The chairs need work to restore them. Therefore chairs along with rest of the set will be SOLD"as is" 3. China Closet with two(2) shelves and a glass door with stylized wood screen. There is a full working linen drawer below the cabinet. It measures 62" high. 39" wide across the front. The china cabinet upper is 15"deep. The lower part that contains the drawer is 18" deep. 4. A buffet is 68"long. 22"deep and stands 37"high. Antique walnut furniture Dinning table China cabinet
No expert but believe it to be french provincial. Real nice table with china hutch. There is some holes in the cane on the backing of the chairs. Nothing big but still needs fixed. Also the china cabinet has some marks around the locks. These are easy fix but never had the time to do it. Also it is marked antique walnut on all peices. Size of table is 54" long x 45" wide x 28" tall. Size of china cabinet is 47" long x 18" deep and 64" tall at tallest point. Very nice set and and very sturdy. I do not have the leaf but can be open. Table is Formica& chrome. The drawer you see pulls out from'under' the table. The table extends with two side parts. It is not a normal drop leaf. You pull the sides out. Up, and lock in place from under the table. To put back you pull them up, down, and push under table. Pic 9 gives you an idea of putting the leaf back under table. Both ways of pulling/pushing is stiff. The legs had no bottoms(see pic 1) I bought the white rubber bottoms to put on table(see pic 12) The table has been cleaned/waxed. China cabinet and sideboard are all made of mahogany and were manufactured in 1933 by the Alliance Furniture Co. of Jamestown, NY. The table is 42" wide by 60" long and stands 30" high. There is an 18" self storing leaf under the table. China cabinet is 36" wide by 10" deep and stands 68" tall on the sides and 76" tall at the center pinnacle. The sideboard(buffet) is 66" long by 18" deep on the ends and 21" deep at the center and stands 36" high. The china cabinet. Sideboard and dining room table are all in very good condition. This is an absolutely beautiful Chippendale Style Dining Room Suite manufactured here in the USA by Johnson Furniture Co. Grand Rapids, Michigan, Circa 1920's to 1930's. There are 11 pieces in the collection which include an ornate table that measures approx. 5 1/2 feet(66" long by 43 1/2" wide) and has 3 leaves, each measuring 11" allowing it to extend to over 8 feet long when all three are used! The leaves are stored in their own holder. There are 8 chairs, 2 of them being armchairs, all the seats are covered in a classic light to medium(sage? green material, very clean. The sideboard measures 69" wide by 22" deep and has a protective glass top! It features plenty of storage with 4 deep drawers, the 2 smaller ones are divided, and 2 doors that open to accommodate taller objects. Also included is a gorgeous ... morechina cabinet that has 3 shelves with plate groves behind 2 locking glass doors(key is there) above 3 drawers, the top one is 4" deep, the middle drawer is 6" deep and the bottom drawer is 7 1/2 deep. The china cabinets overall measurements are 74" tall by 35 1/2" wide and 19" deep. There is such incredible detail on all of these pieces, so hard to capture with my camera. The table does have some scratches and blemishes here and there. Which is typical of a table that has hosted many Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners over the past 90 plus years, however is still in overall very good condition! Very nice Solid Mahogany China Cabinet from 1940s Made by Northern Furniture. This piece is not large for a china cabinet but has tons of room for all your needs with 2 side cabinets below and three large drawers in the lower middle. The top portion has beautiful wood work design across glass 4 shelves for display. 3 that move higher or lower, the condition is used but very good solid mahogany and crotch mahogany with brass pulls. Beautiful Early 1900's Rockford Furniture Company Antique Dining Set
Beautiful Rockford Furniture Company Antique Dining Set estimated to be made in the early 1900's. Set is in good condition with a few blemishes. Chip out of one of the leaves and a quarter sized spot on the table top that looks lighter than the finish. Chairs were re-done with new fabric but the original black chair pads are still intact underneath. Set comes with 6 chairs(one is a captain's chair) Also comes with 2 leaves(these are a slightly darker color than the table. They are the original leaves, and also have the sides to match the design of the table. One leaf has a chip out of the corner. Table Size is approximately 60"x 47" Local pick-up only. Amazing Antique Berkey & Gay Furniture Dining Set (Table, 6 Chairs & Buffet)
Up for sale is a magnificent dining set. This is by Berkey and Gay Furniture. And is from what we believe to be the 1920’s or 1930’s. It consists of a dining table with 6 chairs(one arm chair and 5 side chairs) with 3 extension leafs and a fabulous buffet or sideboard. All pieces have very intricate hand carvings. The table is in extremely good condition for its age, with only a few minor nicks that come with something that is almost 100 yrs old. The chairs are not original fabric, and are actually good candidate for easy re-upholstering to the pattern of your choice. I cannot say enough good things about the buffet…the picture is worth a thousand words. It is beautiful, unique and fabulous. The dining table is 60” long by 45” wide and 31” tall. The buffet is 71” long by 22” deep and 36” tall. Each leaf is 12” long. And the leafs come with ... morea special piece of furniture made for holding the leafs. Will consider selling separately.
