Dating to the 1930 to 1950 time period. This American set is constructed of solid Oak with gorgeous Burl Walnut decorative veneers. It has an English Jacobean look with a Spanish Revival or Moorish flair, and is sure to attract attention and garner compliments. Hardware is original, with vintage KBC( Keeler Brass Company) drawer pulls. The set consists of the following: Dining Table. Two individual pull-out leaves give this Table enormous flexibility. With both leaves stowed. The Table measures 66 inches in length. With one leave out, the Table extends to 84 inches in length. With both leaves, the Table becomes a spacious 102 inches in length. ... moreIt is 38 inches wide and 30-3/4 inches in height. The set includes dining table with expansion leafs(to seat 8) Dust bag, and table pad. There are 6 chairs(one armchair) a linen cabinet, and a buffet. All pieces are hand carved, claw and ball. Chair seats are navy blue, floral, needlepoint and each one is unique. Truly the prettiest set I've ever seen. Beautifully built and wonderfully decorated with burled walnut accents. It has a classic. Timeless style that is hard to find these days, a quality that just isn't found in modern furniture any more. I believe this set was made in the 1930's. As indicated by the brass tag used on the inside of the buffet drawer(pictured) The set is in very good condition! Very solid and kept well. There's a few spots of age on the buffet and some signs of use, but for a set that is 80+ years old, it's to be expected. It needs a good polishing and maybe some oil, but obviously it was taken care of. I am selling this set for a family friend. I believe this set is walnut. From the early 1900s. Lovely lines and lots of beautiful carved detailing. I have never seen a similar set in many years of antique shopping and estate sales. It really is very unique. The buffet and china cabinet are in very good/excellent shape. Buffet has 2 end compartments with doors and 2 very large drawers as well as a couple of neat hidden drawers. China cabinet has 3 deep shelves and large bottom drawer. LOTS of storage space in these two pieces. Table and chairs are very sturdy and in good condition overall but could some light refinishing(tabletop) and minor cosmetic repairs(some chairs) to bring them to former glory. They are definitely in usable condition as is, I have been using them in my own dining room, but would be even more impressive with just a little work. MONSTER 14pc Walnut Dining Set/ Needs Work but Lots of Profit Potential! This is a 14 piece walnut and burled walnut dining room set. There is an oval pedestal table with inlaid top and 4 carved skirted leaves. Ten chairs(2 arms) a china cabinet with curved glass and convex glass, a serpentine buffet and a demilune server. There is no maker's name that we can find. It is marked on the back of each piece with numbers and Acacia. The set does need some work and refinishing. Much of the carving is plaster and each piece has a bit off. I will describe each piece separately. The table sits on an oval base with carved swags around the sides and burl and straight veneer inlays on the top. It measures 30" tall. 72" long and 51" wide. The chairs measure 43" tall. With a 19" high seat. There are two arm chairs. All need reupholstering and a few need regluing. The backs are carved wood and there is no plaster on the chairs. The china cabinet has a convex front door and two curved glass side doors. All the thick plate glass shelves are present. The bottom cabinet has three interior drawers. There are some areas of plaster off the china. Most I have pictured. It measures 75" tall, 50" wide and 18" deep. The buffet measures 34" tall. 76" wide and 21" deep. There is a part of one side foot off. There is a bit of the ribbon edge reglued and it was not well done. The ribbon edge around the top is plaster carving. The inside cabinets all have walnut shelves. The top has a design of straight and burl walnut. The server measures 34" tall. 44" wide and 19" deep. It has a long run of the plaster edging gone and the cabinet needs regluing. There is a single shelf inside. TABLE: Measures 59” long by 43” wide by 30” tall with out any leaves. There are 4-9” leaves. This brings the table to a total length of 95” when fully opened. The round table is a split-pedestal extension and all five legs sit on wheels. Included are 4 original Wishbone chairs with a sort of Chippendale look. The set is American Walnut. And can be verified by a beam on the bottom of the table stamped"Walnut" as seen in the pictures. Something special I find with this table, is a lock mechanism that places the set right at the start of the 20th century and was very popular then, but isn't found very often with the original furniture.
