Description Vintage French Dining Table with 6 chairs We are so excited to be able to offer you a few exquisite pieces from a local estate. The consignee is moving and felt they could part with just a few things and that makes this your lucky day! This lovely French dining table and 6 chairs was made especially for her grandfather when they lived in France in the 20's and 30's. It appears to be a lovely oak. The pieces are in very good condition. There are a few spots where the finish has been compromised however some TLC would quickly repair most of those. Besides. I think those things add character! Three of the chairs have the original cane seats and three of them have replacement wooden seats but the holes for the caning are still intact. Duncan Phyfe style. Double-pedestal, brass claw-footed, dining table with 2 self-storing leaves and 6 upholstered chairs. This set was most likely from the 1940's to 1950's. It was re-upholstered in the 1990's. A marking on the leaves indicates the wood is maple. There is some Tiger Oak on one of the chairs. The table is heavy and sturdy due to the self-storage mechanism for the leaves. It easily seats 4-6 without the leaves. And 6-8 with the leaves. One chair is a captain style with arms and the other 5 are armless. Upholstered in a floral. Leafy pattern in muted colors of green, blue, mauve. Table height is 30" and width is 42" Length without leaves is 62" and with both leaves is 94" Each leaf is 16" wide. Please see photos for details on the pedestal brass claw feet. Up for auction is an antique Old Hickory drop leaf.Gate leg table with 6 Old Hickory chairs. The table measures with sides down- 24" X 42" each leaf is 21" by 42" and the height is 30" The overall measurement with the sides up is 66" X 42" This is a great set I have had it for over 20 years and have never really had a place for so it was in a closet along with all the chairs. There are a couple little marks on the table top but otherwise it is fantastic shape. The chairs are also in great shape, but there are some weave breaks, nothing major and they have been there since I bought the chairs. It's a beautiful set. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. Beautiful Duncan Phyfe dining set that has been in my family for years. The triple pedestal table is rare- they are usually single or double pedestal. The table has four leaves and extends to 86" long. It is 40" wide and has lovely notched. Decorative corners(see photos) There are two armchairs and four side chairs, all uphostered in a sage/ivory silk. The set is in very nice condition and will be an elegant addition to your traditional decor. This is a really cool vintage table with drop leaves on each side of the table. When they are up the table is round. The leaves fold down to make a square table when you don't need to seat as many people. The table and chairs are in excellent condition. There is one very small chip on the table but other than that in beautiful condition. There are 6 chairs that are also in beautiful condition. First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique set has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this set end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. We bought this set as a favor to a friend. We do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. Dealers selling similar pieces on Ebay have used the description Vintage French Country. What we do know is that this piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. This set is solid oak with a medium finish. The parquet top is solid. Not veneer. The piece is heavily carved with gorgeous detail. The legs are curved with carved detail. Pictures do not do this set justice. The flaws mentioned are mostly hardly noticeable. The previous homeowners did not have room for it when they moved and it just does not go with our decor. The table has normal wear on the legs. The top of the table was always covered by a cloth and is in good condition. The pads for the table are available, but not in very good shape because they were in storage. Antique Jacobean Hand Carved Ornate Oak Dining Table w/ Draw Leaves and 6 chairs
This is simply a beautiful. Ornate, hand carved oak dining table made in the Jacobean/Elizabethan era style. It comes complete with 6 matching chairs, one of which is a captain's chair. It has been extremely well cared for, after all it's over a hundred years old! The bottom of the table top has been painted black, so i cannot find any markings that might indicate who made it, or the exact year. It has been reenforced with some sturdier brackets underneith. It's in fantastic shape. Two of the chairs are not featured in the pictures, but are included. The seats will need to be recovered as the threading is coming apart, but all the oak is solid and beautiful. The set was manufactured by the Grand Rapids Chair company of Grand Rapids. Michigan. That company was founded in 1872 and primarily produced chairs until 1880. After that date they then began to produced complete sets and"ash" was their popular wood with carved panels and heavier moldings. You will not be disappointed with this set.as soon as you look at it you will love it. As I stated before.it's the perfect size and in super wonderful antique condition.note: tiny scratches in a few spots.

Up for auction is a rare Mid Century Modern Dining Set made by Heywood Wakefield! The set contains 6 upholstered chairs. 5 legs(1 being the middle support for when leafs are in place) the table. Condition: The table top shows scratches. Scuffs, some minor black streaks. The legs of the table& chairs show scratches& color fading. No breaks in any leg. They are strong& sturdy. The fabric contains minor stains that can be shampooed clean. No rips in the fabric. Fabric appears to be original. Kind of a 50s green& tan color material. The set would be super nice with a minor wood refinish& maybe some more modern upholstery. A few things you must think about when purchasing this set: Its made out of quality birch or maple wood.
