Antique Quartersawn Oak Claw Foot Table
Item: Up for auction is this professionally restored Claw Foot Parlor Table. The table is constructed of solid quartersawn oak. The table top measures 28 x 28 and it stand 30 inches tall. The glass balls in the metal talons are right at 3 inches in diameter. The table has been structurally reinforced under the top an bottom shelf to prevent any separation in the future. There are some chips in the glass balls. But fortunately most are on the underside or back and do not show when the table is in use. The only exception is shown in photo#9. This is a very well constructed, high quality table. I've tried to capture the details of its construction in the photos. The contrast in color on the top is not as dramatic as the photos would indicate. The only other imperfection is a tiny chip on the edge of the lower shelf. The terms restored and ... morerefinished are not meant to convey perfection. While the restoration process removes or minimizes imperfections, subtle signs of its age and use remain. Overall, this table is in excellent condition and should provide many years of use and beauty. Pricing: I do not use reserve pricing. I will establish what I think is a fair starting price for each item. That way potential buyers can make a choice to pursue the item or not. The legs need some work and although the top has been refinished, it shows some spots that are imperfect. This table belonged to my husband's Grandparents. His Mother used to eat dinner on this table every night when she was growing up in the 30s and 40s(she is in her mid-seventies now) The bottom has a plate that says 1932. It's mechanism allowed it to be stored with the table when a leaf(or extention) was not needed. It was called"The Watertown Slide. This Berkey& Gay dining set consists of a 3-leaf table. 8 chairs, 1 china hutch, 1 buffet and 1 sideboard. It is made of walnut, with many sections being bookmatched figured walnut- absolutely beautiful. All pieces are matching, and feature the metal medallion used in Berkey& Gay's furniture from the 1920's-1940's. Our best guess is that these pieces were made in the 20's. They're in excellent condition for this vintage. You'll see some very slight damage, shown in the last 4 photos. Beautiful Antique Dining Table and 4 Chairs from England, UK
We bought this very nice dining table and chairs at a antique furniture store in Southport. England(about 7-8 yrs ago) when we lived there. It is a very nice solid wood table. May be Mahogany or Walnut not sure(it has a dark stain with a hint of red in it) The Cabriole legs are ornate with ball and claw feet. Carvings of(acanthus) leaves and flowers. The chairs are padded(removable) and have a tan flowered material on them. Chippendale style. The top of the table comes unscrewed from the base. Our family has outgrown the table for 4 and we are now selling it. It has had one of the chair backs broken, but it has been repaired. It has a few dents in the table top wood(no stain missing though) But overall is in beautiful shape. Sorry we do not know more about it. There is a leg underneath the table that swings out on both sides to make this a very large table. The table does show some wear and is not new or perfect but is very usable the way it is. This set is Duncan Phyfe style and has all the great characteristics of that style. This set contains 1 armchair and 5 side chairs. The chairs have traditional pierced pointed arch splats and ribbed crest rails. Stiles and lower rails. The front legs are straight with spade feet. The seat cushions have been freshly upholstered in a lovely sage green fabric. The ... moretable has a double pedestal with ribbed feet and brass caps. There is one leaf with this table. The tabletop finish is worn in places and the finish has faded to a lighter shade than the leaf. The table and chairs are very solid and sturdy and the overall condition is very good. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. This set is antique and will not be perfect. The table measures 30 3/8 inches tall, 40 inches side to side and 60 ¼ inches front to back without the leaf and 72 ¼ inches front to back with the leaf. It weighs 93 pounds. The leaf measures 7/8 inches thick, 40 inches side to side and 12 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 8 pounds. The armchair measures 35 ¼ inches tall, 23 3/16 inches side to side and 23 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 13 pounds. The side chairs measure 34 5/8 inches tall, 20 ¼ inches side to side and 21 5/8 inches front to back. The side chairs weigh 12 pounds each. Antique Solid Oak Square Table and Double Pressback Chairs
We have a beautiful antique solid oak square table with 4 double pressback oak chairs! The table has Jacobean style legs with ornately carved trestles on each side. The scrolls and fan carvings really highlight the table. The table measures 40" X 42" and stands 28" tall. The double pressback oak chairs are accented by scroll and leaf carvings and have double rungs. The chairs measure 42" tall X 19 3/4" wide X 22" deep. The chairs are not original to the table. Antique Kitchen Table Set
Table is 48"L x 34"W x 30"H. Two 10" leafs are included. There are 5 chairs which measure approx. 18 ¼"L x 16"D x 34"H. Chair seat is 18 ½" from floor. The number"72" is written on the bottom of three of the chairs& at the bottom of the table. The number"36" possibly the date 7/29/41 is also written at the bottom of the table. The set is in excellent condition but does show signs of age where the finish has worn off. One of the chairs has a red mark on the seat which is shown in one of the photos. The chairs are a little wobbly& two of them have been glued and braced. Table has been disassembled for pickup. Local Pickup Only. Payment by PAYPAL or Cash at time of Pickup; No Checks Accepted.
