Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. Duncan Phyfe style. Double-pedestal, brass claw-footed, dining table with 2 self-storing leaves and 6 upholstered chairs. This set was most likely from the 1940's to 1950's. It was re-upholstered in the 1990's. A marking on the leaves indicates the wood is maple. There is some Tiger Oak on one of the chairs. The table is heavy and sturdy due to the self-storage mechanism for the leaves. It easily seats 4-6 without the leaves. And 6-8 with the leaves. One chair is a captain style with arms and the other 5 are armless. Upholstered in a floral. Leafy pattern in muted colors of green, blue, mauve. Table height is 30" and width is 42" Length without leaves is 62" and with both leaves is 94" Each leaf is 16" wide. Please see photos for details on the pedestal brass claw feet. The table and 1arm chair and 5 side chairs are all wood and upholstery. Not sure of the wood type. No manufacturer name. Beautifully carved. Table is 54 long without leaves x 42 wide x 30 high. Each of two leaves is 12 wide extending it to a generous 78 inches long. Arm chair is 40 inches high at back. Seat 20 wide x 17 deep. Side chairs 40 in high at back, seats 17 1/2 wide x 15 deep. All seat heights 18 inches. I'm not an antiques dealer. This is a family heirloom from my Grandparents home. I am the second owner. I wish I knew more about it. Could have been made in France or the US. Not sure. It all needs refinishing& re-upholstery. One side chair( photo 9) needs upper accent piece glued in place on the left. Opened without any leaves measures approximately 58 in. long by 42 in. wide. Has two(2) 12 in. original leaves and one smaller makeshift 10 in. leaf that make the table a maximum length of 92 in. long.almost 8 ft. Has 4 double curved legs with claw feet and brass toe caps. The table and leaves are in very nice condition with no major scratches. Comes with a 2 piece. Thick felt table cover protector. Set of six(6) dining chairs are Victorian style with curved legs. Padded upholstered seats and ornately carved backs(please see closeup picture) The fabric on the seats is cream/off-white colored(a little darker than the pictures show) with light rose/pink colored flowers. Expandable Antique Oak Dining Table(w/two leaves) The antique Victorian dining table is a solid-oak. 5-legged expandable table with carved barley twist legs. The top is nice and smooth and made from quarter-sawn oak. It has some blemishes, but no major scratches or dents. As indicated in the photos, the main table can be pulled apart so that one or two additional leaves can be used, supported by the“fifth leg. The table is quite stable and expands easily, although not terribly smoothly. I have two leaves that I purchased separately from the table. They fit fine, but their finish did not match the table when I purchased them and I have never gotten around to the simple job of refinishing them; in one of the photos, you can see that the two leaves are darker than the rest of the table. We often expanded the table using one or both of the leaves and covered the top with a tablecloth. The table is 27.5” high and measures 42” x 42” without the extra leaves. Each leaf is 42” long and adds approximately 10.24” in length to the table. For a total length of 62.5” with both leaves in place. This is a beautiful vintage dining set consisting of a table. 5 standard chairs and 1 captain chair. The table measures about 30" high, about 44.5" wide and about 59.5" long. There are two extension leafs that are each about 9" wide. They do not match the table color as they were apparently not refinished when the table was. We are uncertain about the wood, but it may be mahogany as some research indicated this company did use mahogany quite extensively. The chairs are covered in a brownish floral pattern fabric that is in very good condition. Only one of the standard chairs was photographed, but they all match and are in similar condition to the one shown.
