Impressive solid Oak Dining Set consisting of a large Table with six(6) Chairs. A Buffet, and a Court Cupboard, circa 1940. We are pleased to present this vintage Dining Set for your consideration. Dating to the 1930 to 1950 time period. This American set is constructed of solid Oak with gorgeous Burl Walnut decorative veneers. It has an English Jacobean look with a Spanish Revival or Moorish flair, and is sure to attract attention and garner compliments. Hardware is original, with vintage KBC( Keeler Brass Company) drawer pulls. The set consists of the following: Dining Table. Two individual pull-out leaves give this Table enormous flexibility. With both leaves stowed. The Table measures 66 inches in length. With one leave out, the Table extends to 84 inches in length. With both leaves, the Table becomes a spacious 102 inches in length. ... moreIt is 38 inches wide and 30-3/4 inches in height. The Table has minimal age appropriate wear with no damage or significant problems. We rate the overall condition as very good to excellent(see pictures) Six(6) Chairs. Includes one captain(or carver) Chair plus five(5) side Chairs. The top of each Chair has an unusual decorative applied trim piece made of a vintage resin material(see picture#8) We at first thought it was made of wood. But a few spots are worn smooth revealing the true material. All Chairs are impressively ornate, with extensive carved and turned wood. The fabric covering on each is in good shape. We rate their overall condition as very good. Court Cupboard. A tall piece. It measures 65 inches high, 43 inches wide, and is 18-1/2 inches deep. It provides two spacious enclosed cupboards, each with a single shelf, separated by a drawer in the middle. Some water ring stains are seen on the interior shelves, but nothing penetrating the surface. Doors open and close with ease, and the door latches work properly. The set includes one table, six chairs, a buffet table, a server, and a high boy hutch. This set is truly beautiful and in very good condition. My Mother-in-law bought this set from her sister some years ago and she does not have room for it after downsizing her home. This is the information her sister sent us about the origins of this set: When you advertise the dining room set- it was made in England. Style Jacobean, hand carved of English red oak, vintage 1900-1920's. The pieces are so very functional and well made- strong enough to last another 100 years. Because of it's ornate quality and heavy, solid structure it is evocative of classic Spanish furniture that adapts well to Southwestern U.S. décor. ... moreIt was purchased at auction in Centreville, VA in 1978 from an estate where many of the pieces were English in origin. From an early. New York estate, Probably the original owners since new. Dates to the 1920s or so. Original finish, sound, intact and nice. No readily visible maker's mark but must be marked somewhere on one of the pieces. I will look again when I return to the estate. Set includes the extension table with pull out leaves. 1930's Jacobean style dining set includes expanding table. 6 matching chairs and buffet. 38" x 60" table extends to 90" and seats 6. Oak veneer table top with solid oak baluster turned legs joined by an H-form stretcher. Visible water rings on table top(see photo) and veneer is delaminated on small section of one table extension(not visible when not extended) The arm chair and five side chairs are solid oak frames. Baluster turned legs with open back panels and carved crests. The padded seats are durable cloth that can easily be updated if desired. The matching solid oak buffet has two carved front drawers and dual cabinets with paneled doors with carved fronts. Buffet is 59" by 20" by 35" high with oak veneer top. Drawer and door hardware is original. Antique Oak dining set 1600's Jacobean Style 1930-1940 Table and Chairs
Set includes Table with 2 end leaves that slide out from underneath and become level with table. When leaves are open table is 110 inches long. Set includes six chairs one with arms. Some of the chair seats need refinishing or padded seats put on.
