Made in England, Circa 1940, Oak, Beveled mirror, Locking cabinets, Hand cut dovetails, Brass pulls, Minor wear throughout, Sturdy. Good overall condition, This quaint English oak sideboard was made around 1940 and is the perfect size for a variety of places in the home. The shaped back splash has a beveled mirror and the cabinet doors are decorated with carvings in the outside upper corners. The drawers slide in and out easily and the cabinet doors both lock with included key. The inside of the right drawer used to have ... moregreen felt that was partially removed. Leaving the inside of the drawer with a green tinge(see picture) There is normal wear throughout in the form of tiny dings here and there, but overall this buffet is in very good condition and quite sturdy. The drawers are made with hand cut dovetails which gives you an idea of the high level of craftsmanship that went into this sideboard. The sideboard is 36" tall to the counter and 46.5" tall to the top of the back splash. Plenty of storage space in this sideboard! The cabinet doors both lock. These carved decorations adorn the outside upper corners of the doors. Each drawer has two solid brass pulls. The drawers are made with hand cut dovetails. The right drawer used to have green felt inside. Now it has a green tinge from where that felt was removed. The counter top has minor wear in the form of tiny dings or stains. AWESOME antique oak dining room sidebar/buffet/bookcases with 7 drawers, mirror
This listing is for the beautiful antique Victorian golden oak sidebar/buffet/china cabinet one piece unit with 7 drawer s that I have pictured for you. We have used it in our home for many years as an entertainment center and bookshelves/doll display area. The drawers have been used to store DVDs. VHS tapes, books, DVD player, as well as other things. The unit is 79 inches wide at the top. The end panels extend out from the wall 17 inches. The shelf where the TV is placed is 23 inches wide and it bows out in the center(pictured for you) The TV pic tur ed is a 32 inch flat screen and allows for the opening of both bookcase doors. There are 4 applied trim pieces formed of plaster along the top of the unit and I have pictured each one for you so you can see where there is damage to 3 of them. The pulls on the drawers are original to the piece ... moreas are the two latches to the doors of the bookcases. The bookcase doors are each 50" high by 16 1/2" wide. Both bookcase doors have the original wavy glass. The back of both bookcase sections is wains cote oak as is the inside piece of each bookcase. kAs pictured. There are two shelves in each bookcase; there are two additional shelves stored in the bottom center drawer of the unit. Dimensions of the drawers follows: two are 11" by 17" three are 24 1/2" by 17" and two are 16 1/2" by 13 1/4" The bevel edge mirror is in an area 24 1/2" wide. There are small holes drilled at the back of this area to allow the wiring for the TV and the DVD player and the USB cord for the TV to be brought in from the backside. The center section shelf extends outward from the base display case 5 inches at each sides and approximately 7 inches in the center(due to the bowed design) The piece is very heavy and will require 2 men to remove it from our residence after the drawers and glass doors are removed from the unit. Antique Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet w/ Beveled Mirror and Claw Feet
What I have here is an outstanding Empire style tiger oak sideboard/ buffet circa 1900 with a tag from Picture Rocks. PA. The tag(photo shown) indicates the Burrows Bros. Co. Ltd. as the manufacturer. A fellow named Amos Burrows started the furniture co. in Lycoming County. Pennsylvania in 1856 and the enterprise was sold in 1939. This one is from the Burrow's Brothers unique"Roller Guide Line. Two tiny wooden wheels hold each drawer in place and enable smooth gliding back and forth. Some information on the manufacturer's history can be found on the internet at usgennet.org/usa/pa/county/lycoming/history/Chapter-31.html There are Claw feet in the front and straight legs in the back. All legs have the original wooden rollers for easily moving this piece around. The overall dimensions are 48" W x 22 1/2" D x 61 1/2" ... moreH. The height to the first level is 39" The height to the second level is 56 1/2" The two levels are connected by columns. The mirror is the original beveled mirror with the dimensions 37"W x 13"H. It has 2 drawers on top that are each 20 1/2" long. There is 1 long drawer in the middle of the piece that is 42" long. At the botto m are 2 doors w/ post in-between. There is a large open storage area behind these doors. The drawers and doors have beautiful decorative brass knobs as pulls(photo shown) Some minor imperfections- as shown in pictures- are: varnish spot(top left side) slight warpage of veneer in one spot(top right ride) and two spots of discoloration in mirror The 2 drawers on top. The long drawer in the middle, and the two bottom doors, all have keyholes for locking, but no key. Overall condition is very good. Considering its age. We've really cared for this piece. Listed for your consideration is this 1900's Antique Childs Oak Buffet Sideboard. This Salesman Sample Size measures approximately 16-3/8" in length. 11" in height and 8-3/4" in depth. It is constructed of quarter sawn oak and pine. Overall condition is good considering it's age. There is a decorative piece of trim missing from the lower left front of leg, and there is a water ring on the top. It has a great look and would look great displayed with your antique doll collection. I have it displayed with a German Lusterware Tea Set that I currently have listed also. Antique Oak(?) Buffet w/ Carved Lion Heads & Angel(?)-100+ Years Old
Up for auction is an antique oak( buffet. I was told that it is over 100 years old. It has a mirror and two carved lion heads and a carved angel's( face. This belonged to a lady I used to work for. When she passed away a few months ago. Her daughter asked me to help her sell some of her mother's things. Her mother took good care of this piece of furniture. It does have some wear from use but it is in good condition for its age.

This is a beautiful piece that offers wonderful storage with its large drawers and cabinets and features its original original brass hardware. Original mirror back and its old original finish with period dove-tailed joinery on the drawers. This sideboard measures 59 1/2 inches in height to the top of the gallery at the back. Total height to the top of the base measures 38 inches, total width of 54 inches, total depth of 24 inches and weighs approximately 150 lbs and does dis-assemble into 2 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The buffet contains two parts; The upper part has three doors. 2 with glass facet windows and one that is richly carved with a decoration of flowers. At the tuft there are also rich carved leaves. The glass is original. At the bottom of the upper part there is a facet mirror. Also original. The bottom part has two drawers. The hands are not complete.
