This unique solid wood sideboard/ buffet was made in Brooklyn. New York in the mid to late 1920’s and owned by my Grandmother, who passed it on to me. The piece has an unusual design and is in great condition considering its use and age. The sideboard measures 40" wide by 39" tall by 20" deep and it has one long drawer. Antique Sideboard Circ 1920 Excellant condition.
This side board is hand constructed around 1920 and spent all its life in New England. It was professionally restored around 2001. All veneer was removed and replaced and a professional nitrocellulose lacquer finish was applied. The hardware was also replaced with a heavy gauge solid brass with an anti tarnish finish. A glass was made for the top. The hardwood is American Cherry. This is an heirloom quality piece meant to last generations and still hold its appeal with its traditional styling. Swedish 1920 Antique Carved Oak Sideboard. Server or TV Console. Signed"Made in Sweden. this richly detailed solid oak sideboard or server is also a fascinating TV console as well. Carved coats of arms. Original wrought iron hardware and mortise joints are authentic. Solid fine grained oak, the top has been revarnished for durability, the base has been waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain its antique patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Drawers have dovetailed joints on this European made furniture. Antique LVI style desk, circa 1920
A walnut veneered desk in the style of Louis XVI. Circa 1920, having a shaped top, the surface of which is veneered in a herringbone pattern and trimmed with a machine carved decorative edge. There is a long center drawer over a knee hole space. Flanked by 2 small drawers. The drawers. Edges of the lower part of the desk and the sides, the knees on the legs. All have applied machine made decoration in the Louis XVI style, and the hardware on the drawers is in the same style. The desk is raised on cabriole legs tenninating in paw feet. Wear to the finish. Particularly on the edges. 59" wide, 29" deep. And 30" high. Payment expected at close of auction.
