Here we have for auction a beautiful solid oak welsh dresser in the Georgian manner dating to the mid 20th century. This stunning example in keeping with traditional design has the panelled back upright with fixed plate shelves and cupboard doors over small trinket drawers on a base with thick moulded edge having central cupboard doors flanked by banks of drawers and raised atop cabriole legs. Each of the drawers are oak lined and finished with crossbanded detailing and swan neck brass handles. Circa 1900 Solid oak Locking cupboard doors Plate shelves with two grooves See description for full condition report Very good overall condition, This exquisite large antique Welsh dresser will make a statement in any room! Its multitude of grooved plate shelves are perfect for all kinds of display and the large base provides a plethora of hidden storage. Dressers this large are very hard to come by. So don’t miss out! The Jacobean style of this dresser shows in the geometric patterns created on the doors. Originally this large antique ... morewelsh dresser was built in the United Kingdom around the year 1900. Over this time the oak wood from which it was built has developed a lovely patina with various character marks here and there. This piece does come in two(top and bottom) for easier moving. The upper section has two locking doors and the lower section has two as well. All of which come with keys. The drawers have locks but no key works them. As is common in kitchen pieces like this, the upper drawer is fitted with a moving felt lined section for storing silverware. All of the upper shelves are double grooved which allows you to stand varying sized plates up on them. Each shelf is 5.5″ deep. After over 100 years. This dresser remains in very good condition. The“counter top” part has sustained some old dark rings which we have pictured. There is a small age separation on the upper left door. This is normal for solid wood and does not affect the door’s function. The cornice has sustained a small age separation and one ding which are hard to see. Inside the lower section the bottom board shows old(nonactive) wood worm damage. This was obviously treated and the bottom board shored up to ensure the cabinets can
