I've had it for over 15 years.I originally bought it in ITALY to use as a built-in kitchen cabinet(intending to drop a sink into it)this could be used as a bathroom or kitchen cabinet with a sink installed.or. Recently I've been using it as a dresser in my bedroom!HOW would YOU use it? In very good condition for it's age.some restorations. Top replaced, it presents very well, with some signs of age, ... moreone foot has splits, separations and restorations-see pics, another foot has a loss, there are various tiny holes or irregularities in the wood here and there, minor separations between the top and molding underneath, the insides of the cabinet are dusty and time-worn: one side of the interior has had the shelves removed to create one open space(see pic)the doors have a brass tack on the tops to help them stay closed. Antique Art Deco Buffet This is a gorgeous. Antique piece of furniture. It could be called by many names and serve a variety of purposes: hutch, bar, sideboard, buffet, credenza, server or china cabinet. Whatever you call it, it is a lovely piece of furniture. The previous owner stated that she acquired this from Europe, specifically England. The only marking is"220" in chalk on the back. The buffet appears to be composed of tiger oak. With a medium-tone finish. The wood features carved ornamentation of fruit and foliage, a motif very popular during the Art Nouveau period from 1910-1930. The surface of the buffet has a marble top that is red in color with gray veining. There is a beveled mirror on the recessed portion of the top section of the buffet. The doors of the buffet have beautiful brass pulls and working locks. We have ... morethe original key, which operates all of the locks. The doors have a unique brass hinge design which allows them to be removed without the use of a tool. The top center door is glass. The final feature, which is also my favorite, are the curved feet that support the body of the buffet. The buffet has the following dimensions: Height: 78 5/8" Width: 54" Depth: 18" Specifics: Height to top of base(top of marble surface) 41 1/2" Interior of bottom section: 53 1/2" wide by 33 1/4" tall by 15" deep Interior of the top section: 50" wide by 17" tall by 11" deep Interior of the center drawer: 20 7/8" wide by 14 1/4" deep by 4 1/4" tall, The top section of the buffet is easily removed. It will be removed for safe packaging and shipping. This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. Some of the red veins in the marble top have been filled with a color matched substance to level the surface of the marble. There are a couple of spots where this filling has come loose.
