This listing is for the beautiful antique Victorian golden oak sidebar/buffet/china cabinet one piece unit with 7 drawer s that I have pictured for you. We have used it in our home for many years as an entertainment center and bookshelves/doll display area. The drawers have been used to store DVDs. VHS tapes, books, DVD player, as well as other things. The unit is 79 inches wide at the top. The end panels extend out from the wall 17 inches. The shelf where the TV is placed is 23 inches wide and it bows out in the center(pictured for you) The TV pic tur ed is a 32 inch flat screen and allows for the opening of both bookcase doors. There are 4 applied trim pieces formed of plaster along the top of the unit and I have pictured each one for you so you can see where there is damage to 3 of them. The pulls on the drawers are original to the piece ... moreas are the two latches to the doors of the bookcases. The bookcase doors are each 50" high by 16 1/2" wide. Both bookcase doors have the original wavy glass. The back of both bookcase sections is wains cote oak as is the inside piece of each bookcase. kAs pictured. There are two shelves in each bookcase; there are two additional shelves stored in the bottom center drawer of the unit. Dimensions of the drawers follows: two are 11" by 17" three are 24 1/2" by 17" and two are 16 1/2" by 13 1/4" The bevel edge mirror is in an area 24 1/2" wide. There are small holes drilled at the back of this area to allow the wiring for the TV and the DVD player and the USB cord for the TV to be brought in from the backside. The center section shelf extends outward from the base display case 5 inches at each sides and approximately 7 inches in the center(due to the bowed design) The piece is very heavy and will require 2 men to remove it from our residence after the drawers and glass doors are removed from the unit. A decent looking piece, but closer inspection shows several pieces of missing veneer on the drawers and several of the drawer corners are very rounded. The applied border on the drawer faces has obviously been reglued with some residue left behind. The interior will need cleaned out. Structurally very sound, some drawers are a bit stiff to pull out, especially the bottom one, could use the drawer slides being sanded down a bit and then waxed. Great piece to have restored/ refinished. Or perfect if want a nice piece of furniture but you KNOW your family is hard on items and would rather not have a very expensive piece being greatly depreciated in value. Davis& Co. in London of whom I cannot find any relevant information which makes it rare and difficult to pinpoint whether this is 1800's or very early 1900's though I am quite sure is is late 1800s. The drawers are mahogany lined and hand dovetailed(a sign of quality) There is a velvet lined cutlery drawer in the right hand side top drawer of the sideboard. There is also a working lock and key for the doors and a vertical sliding bolt latch, which holds the left hand door in place when the other door is open. Inside the cupboard is a shelf for useful storage. The top of the sideboard boasts lovely quarter panel figured walnut veneers. Beautiful burled walnut draw-leaf table beautifully carved with 6 recovered chairs in blue mohair. Dining table is 58" long and 39" wide with two leaves. 24" each under the table top, so the table is almost 10' long when fully extended. The leaves are not finished in burled walnut, but plain walnut. The six chairs were recovered in 2008 with royal blue mohair, very expensive and wears like iron. Specs- approx 5" and 3& 1/4 inches tall at highest point without the wheels. 4' 6" wide. 10& 3/4 inches deep. This particular piece has curved cut glass on the sides and the doors. They wrap around the glass display shelf. There is an electric light inside the cabinet. Has a lion head with loop at both corners of the big drawer at the top and glass knobs on the doors that open the glass curved doors to the cabinet. I have never seen a piece like this before and fell in love with it. What a beautiful functional show piece to have in your home. This beautiful piece looks as though it has never been used and very well cared for. I haven't seen anything like it on Ebay or anywhere else.
