According to previous owners, this item is from the 40's and has never been refinished and contains its original hardware. Has been taken care of very well. Contains stamp inside the top drawer along with an affixed label on the inside drawer, along with numbers stamped on the back which is kind of hard to make out( 4780 670) The previous owner did have a mirror put on it but it did not come with it as it didn't appear to belong to it. I have searched to try to find a similar item like this one and came out empty handed so if anyone has any info on what type of item this can be, please let me know. The height of the dresser chest is 34 inches The three drawers are 7 inches deep on the inside and each has the original lock mechanism with brass keyhole insert. Each drawer has the traditional Eastlake chip carving detail. All the drawers are dovetailed and have the original bottoms. The hardware is the classic brass teardrop and I believe these are not original but correct for the period. There are 4 wooded casters on the bottom and appear to be replacements. The swivel mirror measures 27 inches wide x 21 inches high and has the original mirror. The dresser measures 35 inches high to the top surface x 48 inches wide x 21 inches deep. The piece is all original and in super condition and finished in a medium walnut color. The cabinet has three graduated drawers measuring 5. 4, and 3 inches deep on the inside and are dovetailed. The skirt and the removable backsplash have hand painted rose decorations. The book matched burl front has raised decoration and fretwork corner pieces done in ebonized wood. The drawer fronts are detailed with a small molding that is ebonized on the inside. Turned pieces decorate the sides and top of the front with turned legs in the front. The dresser rides on 4 small ... morewooden casters. The drawer pulls are wood and original to the piece. Carved lion feet, a large beveled mirror with candle stands and long display shelf above as well as a lovely server surface, drawers and open cabinet space behind decorative doors below. The wood grains on this pieces are gorgeous, the front edge has a slight serpentine front and the detailed carvings including applique and trip work are spectacular and appear to be intact. This piece is on it's original casters so it can be moved easily. I show the casters in close up behind the decorative front carved lion's foot. Here is an absolutely fabulous find if you are looking for a gorgeous oak sideboard or perhaps welsh dresser base to serve as an additional counter. Large flat screen TV stand, work surface, server or even hallway table or console piece in any room in your home or business. Arriving with my consignors most recent shipment of antiques from the UK, this gorgeous old sideboard has some nice age and I attempt to use my photographs to show it's quality construction and ample functional storage in a wonderful solid wood cabinet. This piece has two large side drawers and four central drawers, all beautifully dovetailed and two of which are actually divided felt lined drawers. On each side is functional open cabinet space behind decorative wood doors and the piece appears to have it's original old hardware as well. The four central drawers are each 16 1/4 inch wide by 12 1/2 inches front to back and are 3 1/2, 5, 6 and 7 inches deep, respectively with the top two drawers being the two felt lined divided buffet drawers. There are also two large drawers, one on each side, measuring 16 1/4 inch wide by 15 inches front to back and 3 1/2 inches deep. The two side lower cabinets behind the lovely wood drawers are each 19 inches wide by 15 inches front to back and 22 1/2 inches tall, equipped for a shelf to divide them in two if desired. Vintage Antique Sideboard Buffet server dresser original finish
A very nice buffet. Hand carvings on front and ball type feet. Measures 62 inches wide 20 inches deep and 37 inches tall at the back plate. Serving platform is 35 1/2 inches tall. 3 drawers with silverware tray in middle drawer. 4 doors on bottom. As you can see in the pictures it is in pretty good shape. With a couple defects as shown in pictures. A great add to just put in kitchen or refinish if you want. Not sure of age or who made it. Local pick up only. Here is a marvelous antique heavy carved English dresser. Circa 1900-1920, and in very nice condition as described in detail under condition above and in my multiple pictures included here. This is an absolutely lovely sturdy solid heavy carved oak piece. With dovetailed drawers, gorgeous carvings and lots of open cabinet space below for storage on blind shelves behind the decorative doors. There are two large functional drawers and all the old metal hardware on this piece is intact and appears original. This terrific early twentieth century piece has a large work or serving space, 55 inches long by almost 20 inches deep front to back at a height of 38 inches providing lots of options for this piece from use as a dresser, to a sideboard, or even better yet an awesome large flat screen TV stand, which you can use either with or without the ... moreback mantle in place, which removes for safe shipping either way. This gorgeous antique heavy carved pece was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland and was manufactured in either England or Scotland. This is a large piece which stands 50 1/2 inches tall to the top of the removable back decorative mantle. Which measures 55 inches long by 12 1/2 inches tall. The surface height on this dresser is 38 inches and the large base piece measures 55 inches long by 19 3/4 inches deep, front to back. the two large drawers across the top are each 21 3/4 inches wide by 13 3/4 inches front to back and 3 3/4 inches deep. The open cabinet space behind the two lower decorative heavy carved doors measures 51 3/4 inches wide by 15 1/4 inch front to back to 25 inches tall and is divided in half by one shelf, leaving 10 3/4 inches clearance above the base of the cabinet and 10 3/4 inches above the shelf which runs the width of the cabinet. Antique ART DECO Period Sideboard / Dresser with Italian Marble Top - Chicago
Antique French? European? Art Deco Sideboard Here is a wonderful antique Art Deco Sideboard for you consideration. I'm not certain of it's origin but appears to be Italian or French. Since I cannot ascertain its manufacturer or age. You must be the ultimate judge. This stunning Sideboard has 4 drawers with silver ball type pulls. Each backed by a copper disc. The end swinging cabinet doors are hinged the full length and both contain a working lock(photo#4) with key. The pulls on each door are truly amazing, a perfect compliment to the quarter-sawn oak veneer inlay. There is one small area of veneer loss on the RH end(photo#8) which is easily repaired. The crowning element is the top surface which is a warm rose-colored Italian marble. The top measures 47-1/4” wide x 19-3/4” deep. The sideboard stands approx. 33” tall. The Jacobean style of this dresser shows in the geometric patterns created on the doors. Originally this large antique ... morewelsh dresser was built in the United Kingdom around the year 1900. Over this time the oak wood from which it was built has developed a lovely patina with various character marks here and there. This piece does come in two(top and bottom) for easier moving. The upper section has two locking doors and the lower section has two as well. All of which come with keys. The drawers have locks but no key works them. As is common in kitchen pieces like this, the upper drawer is fitted with a moving felt lined section for storing silverware. All of the upper shelves are double grooved which allows you to stand varying sized plates up on them. Each shelf is 5.5″ deep. After over 100 years. This dresser remains in very good condition. The“counter top” part has sustained some old dark rings which we have pictured. There is a small age separation on the upper left door. This is normal for solid wood and does not affect the door’s function. The cornice has sustained a small age separation and one ding which are hard to see. Inside the lower section the bottom board shows old(nonactive) wood worm damage. This was obviously treated and the bottom board shored up to ensure the cabinets can
