I am guessing this was refinished in the last 10 years in a medium oak stain finish that has held up nicely. It has cast brass hardware, leaded glass center door on top panel in the center between the two doors that offers a curio cabinet top that has a mirror back, below is a bevel glass mirror and it is all supported with cabriole claw foot leg supports. The base cabinet has two long narrow drawers above the two doors and the bottom center panel is plain glass. I assume the bottom glass was originally leaded glass and has been replaced. It has two doors and a deep drawer on the base. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 68 inches high. It comes with a key.

There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I mentioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. We believe this piece to be mahogany and has early hand-cut dovetailed ends on the drawer.A chamfered lower back and has been painted at some point in time a beautiful lacquered black that really showcases the fabulous gold ormolu decorations and the white and grey veined marble top. Note the Lion Face in the middle of the Ormolu at the top and the gorgeous gold shelf supports that rest on the marble top plus the Laurel wreath pulls! This piece measures 76 inches tall.49 1/2 inches wide and 19 inches deep. German 1900s to 1930s walnut carved sideboard. this is a one-of-a-kind piece, in that it comes apart like a German bookcase and so can be carried aroynd a corner or assembled on a second or third floor despite its size. We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique sideboard. Made from Victorian oak this piece dates to the late 1800's ~ early 1900's. The piece measures 71" high at the back center. It has a width of 44" at the top of the work surface and a height of 36" to the top of the work surface. The depth is 22.25" The top boasts a large center mirror flanked by shelves on either side that extend out to columns that support a large upper shelf. The fronts of the columns have carved leaf designs. The top above the shelf has applied carved acanthus leaf scrolls. There is also a variation of this design on the doors below. Under the work station there are two small drawers atop a full width large drawer. The drawers all have dove tail construction. There are cabinet doors that open below the drawers affording ... moremore storage. There are some age and use appropriate scratches and dings on this piece and some light staining on the top.
