Currently selling an ornate Black Walnut 1900 Circa Louis XV Sideboard/Buffet. This buffet has four doors with three drawers. The center drawers are lined in velvet for utensils/mis. And the two side drawers are lined in a red/beige country french fabric. Dimensions are 85"W x 24" D x 44" H. This piece was purchased from an antique dealer, who brought this piece from Pennsylvania, and I have owned this piece since the early 1990's. This piece deserves to be in a lovely home. It bears the Blue Erol label It's superbly crafted and made entirely from solid elm. And the dovetailed corners at the top and bottom of each side emphasise how well constructed it is, as do the full length hinges which are fitted to the doors. The 3 dovetailed drawers and the 2 doors are fitted with very stylish oval inset handles which prove to be such an appealing feature. The top drawer has internal divisions for cutllery, each cupboard has ... morea single internal shelf. The rich mahogany is complemented by the lovely inlaid adorning the front of the sideboard. There is also a banding around the top edge. There are 2 center drawers both with dovetailed joints. One is a hidden drawer without brass handles. The drawer is inset with scalloped corners to pull the drawer open and closed. All brass hardware including locks on the drawers and doors unfortunately the keys are no longer with the item. Square tapered legs, with spade feet. Vintage Antique Cherry Wood Buffet Server / Sideboard circa 1920's
This unique solid wood sideboard/ buffet was made in Brooklyn. New York in the mid to late 1920’s and owned by my Grandmother, who passed it on to me. The piece has an unusual design and is in great condition considering its use and age. The sideboard measures 40" wide by 39" tall by 20" deep and it has one long drawer. The height of the backsplash from the table top is 6" There is some finish loss and the top shows some wear but it can easily be restored to its original beauty. Please email for pickup appointment. Antique Stickley Bros. Mission Oak Sideboard (circa 1902)
This is an original Arts& Crafts sideboard. Made by the famous Stickley Brothers workshop in Grand Rapids, MI. The Stickley museum dates the decal on the back of the sideboard to 1902, and the Grand Rapids workshop phased out their Quaint Mission line around 1909-1910. It is in good condition and still has the original finish, as well as all of the original hand-hammered hardware. I had a professional restorer look at it, as well as an appraiser. It has Queen Ann style legs that are about 10 1/2" high. There is lots of storage with 6 drawers and 2doors. All the surface areas seem good and the mirror is good also. Sold as is with pickup only. ANTIQUE BUFFET/SIDEBOARD by FINCH FURNITURE circa. 1915 This is an antique buffet/sideboard from Finch American Furniture(the predecessor of Thomasville Furniture) The Thomasville Chair Company entered the furniture business in 1904 but owed the Finch brothers $2000 for lumber. The Thomasville Chair Company could not pay its debt in cash and by 1915(or a few years before) the Finch brothers took over the company and began producing and selling furniture for the entire house under the name Finch Fine Furniture(accompanied by a metal trademark) The company topped $1 million in sales by 1917. It wasn't until the'60's when Tom A. Finch named the company Thomasville Furniture Industries. Inc. The Finch Fine Furniture Buffet/Sideboard is in very good. Well preserved condition considering it is approx. 100 years old. The Dimensions are ... moreapproximately H=36.5"x w=20"x L=64" It has some wear and tear but nothing major and it is all intact.
