Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Local pick up preferred but we will work with your shipper or we can get you a quote from a company we use. Coast to coast is probably around $400 to $500 dollars. Non smoking home. This is a mahogany formal style Chippendale sideboard with a rope carved top. Swell-front with a step back outside, and an applied ... morebracket foot base. Dating from the early 1940s, it is made and sold by the Drexel Furniture Company, as stamped on the inside. It also has a blue label from the Mahogany Association, guaranteeing that all exterior pieces are real mahogany or mahogany faced. It has solid brass heavy carved hardware on the dovetail drawers, doors, and flat drawers. It also has two oversized doors with shelves fixed in the center, and picture frame molding across all the doors. Above the doors are flat-front dovetail drawers on each side of the cabinet. In the center, there is a curved section that breaks out about 1.5 inches from the sides, and that section has four graduated height dovetail drawers that provide tons of storage. The top has been re-sprayed to remove all the nicks and dings and to reveal the gorgeous dark reddish brown finish used. This is just one of the great items we're offering this week. This Auction is for an ANITIQUE SOLID OAK(TIGER? BUFFET SERVER SIDEBOARD Manufactured by Grand Rapids Chair Co. This bu ffet table does have some fairly unique features. The bottom drawer is a s ingle full width drawer! There i s a built-in felt lined silverware drawer in the right cabinet! Each set of cabinets are designed to lock! note- locks are in place- there are no keys) The Buffet Table is Approximately 6' 72" in length x 38" Tall(42.5" tall including back splashboard) x 23" Deep The cabinet height from the top of the legs is approximately 22" Over all. This buffet table is in very good condition for it's age, but it does need some minor repairs- please see below for details- The top of the table does show wear from use and age. Most of the wear is sur face wear and a lot of it could probably be buffed ... moreout if so desired. The photo was taken at an angle to capture the detail and over emphasi zes the appearance. Aesthetically. The biggest issue is the small piece of missing trim on the right side of the left half of the drawer. There are two spindles that are not in place across the bottom. Unfortunately. There is only one spindle available, the second spindle is missing and will need to be replaced. Functionally. The drawer is currently difficult to open and close, but I believe this is due to the bottom spindles not being in place and would be easily remedied. There is a small area(about quarter sized) on the left top of the table that was there at the time the table was made and is simply a characteristic fl aw in the wood that was used and simply adds to the unique antique characteristics of the entire piece. These are all relatively easy repairs. But they are repairs that are best left to those with experience in the area of antique repairs. Overall- a very beautiful piece of American history! Up for auction is a very nice Antique Mission Oak Arts& Crafts Sideboard/Buffet. It is solid oak- very sturdy and very heavy. The mirror/shelf can be detached and it can be used as a server without the mirror if you like. It is in great shape for furniture of this age but it does have some rings on the surface(see 3rd photo- the picture makes them look worse than they are- nothing a quick surface refinishing wouldn't fix) I guestimate this is around 100 years old. It has all original hardware. Mirror, and a key as seen in the photos. Buffet Sideboard Server Dresser Flat Screen Painted Rounded Doors Shelves Drawer
This 1930's 6-legged. Hand-painted buffet, sideboard or server could also be used as a unique entertainment piece for a flatscreen TV. Add baskets to the open shelves and you have a unique storage solution as a dresser as well. The buffet is hand painted in stripes of chocolate brown and white on the top and the outsides of the two drawers. The doors, intricately turned legs and stretcher are painted in white. The original mahogany finish remains exposed in several places, highlighting the original curved decorative veneer on the drawer fronts. The drawers are lined with a floral embossed chocolate suede and each has a painted brown and white drawer knob, the same knob is used on the unusual rounded cabinet doors. Each curved door has their original storage cubbie(used for small items like salt and pepper shakers, etc) attached to the ... moreinside of the door. The new painted wood shelves replace the long-lost drawers.
