This is ... moreone of 2 matching console side table cabinets that I have. They are both the same with slight differences which I have noted in each listing. Each piece is listed separately. This auction is for ONE cabinet. The photos are pictures of the actual piece you will receive. Please note that bright marks in the photos are not flaws but glare from the camera. NOTE: If anyone can help me with more information in regards to this piece I would sincerely appreciate it if you could send me an email. It has a bow front with one curved drawer in the center that has 2 round decorative ring handles and there are 2 compartments with curved doors on either side. The side doors lock and I have TWO keys that opens both doors and are included in the auction. The center drawer does not have a lock. Please see photos and email me if you have any questions or would like additional photos or measurements. Condition: Overall excellent clean condition with the exception of a small dark mark on the right side of the top of the cabinet. Please see the detail photo. It has some minor surface blemishes typical of the age of the piece. Otherwise there are no other chips. Cracks or repairs. The drawer is dovetail construction and slides easily. The doors open and close easily and the construction is solid and sturdy. Wood: Tiger Mahogany Size: appx 4' long x 3' tall and appx 1' 6 1/2" deep. This is a mahogany formal style Chippendale sideboard with a rope carved top. Swell-front with a step back outside, and an applied ... morebracket foot base. Dating from the early 1940s, it is made and sold by the Drexel Furniture Company, as stamped on the inside. It also has a blue label from the Mahogany Association, guaranteeing that all exterior pieces are real mahogany or mahogany faced. It has solid brass heavy carved hardware on the dovetail drawers, doors, and flat drawers. It also has two oversized doors with shelves fixed in the center, and picture frame molding across all the doors. Above the doors are flat-front dovetail drawers on each side of the cabinet. In the center, there is a curved section that breaks out about 1.5 inches from the sides, and that section has four graduated height dovetail drawers that provide tons of storage. The top has been re-sprayed to remove all the nicks and dings and to reveal the gorgeous dark reddish brown finish used. This is just one of the great items we're offering this week. Each set of cabinets are designed to lock! note- locks are in place- there are no keys) The Buffet Table is Approximately 6' 72" in length x 38" Tall(42.5" tall including back splashboard) x 23" Deep The cabinet height from the top of the legs is approximately 22" Over all. This buffet table is in very good condition for it's age, but it does need some minor repairs- please see below for details- The top of the table does show wear from use and age. There is only one spindle available, the second spindle is missing and will need to be replaced. Functionally. The drawer is currently difficult to open and close, but I believe this is due to the bottom spindles not being in place and would be easily remedied. There is a small area(about quarter sized) on the left top of the table that was there at the time the table was made and is simply a characteristic fl aw in the wood that was used and simply adds to the unique antique characteristics of the entire piece. These are all relatively easy repairs. But they are repairs that are best left to those with experience in the area of antique repairs. Overall- a very beautiful piece of American history! Antique Arts & Crafts Mission Oak Buffet Sideboard With Mirror and Hidden Drawer
Up for auction is a very nice Antique Mission Oak Arts& Crafts Sideboard/Buffet. It is solid oak- very sturdy and very heavy. The mirror/shelf can be detached and it can be used as a server without the mirror if you like. It is in great shape for furniture of this age but it does have some rings on the surface(see 3rd photo- the picture makes them look worse than they are- nothing a quick surface refinishing wouldn't fix) I guestimate this is around 100 years old. It has all original hardware. Mirror, and a key as seen in the photos. From first glance it appears there are only 3 drawers(2 at the top- one of which has divided sections lined with brown velvet for your silverware- and a large drawer at the bottom) BUT it actually has a HIDDEN 4th DRAWER(see the 4th photo) It measures 23(d) X 54(w) X 53(h) I love this piece but we are ... moremoving and won't have room for it in the new place so my loss is your gain(I have set a low reserve as I know I have to sell this before the movers arrive) Please look at all the photos and ask all questions before bidding- if no one has placed a bid and you want to make an offer, let me know- I can always change it to a"Buy it now" option if no one has yet placed a bid. Buffet Sideboard Server Dresser Flat Screen Painted Rounded Doors Shelves Drawer
This 1930's 6-legged. Hand-painted buffet, sideboard or server could also be used as a unique entertainment piece for a flatscreen TV. Add baskets to the open shelves and you have a unique storage solution as a dresser as well. The buffet is hand painted in stripes of chocolate brown and white on the top and the outsides of the two drawers. The doors, intricately turned legs and stretcher are painted in white. The original mahogany finish remains exposed in several places, highlighting the original curved decorative veneer on the drawer fronts. The drawers are lined with a floral embossed chocolate suede and each has a painted brown and white drawer knob, the same knob is used on the unusual rounded cabinet doors.
