This is truly a wonderful piece. It has beautiful oak barley twist legs and bottom brace. And beautiful style. It measures 54" wide, 20" deep, and appx 55" tall. All hardware is original(to my knowledge) with only one broken backplate, which is hardly noticeable, and looks bent, on the right side in pic#5. Otherwise, it is just beautiful. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique cabinet. This is a gorgeous cabinet/sideboard or accent entry table that dates to the 1920s. The cabinet is solid wood(Maple or Pine) with beautiful grain pattern. The cabinet has both Art Deco and Jacobean details. The cabinet has a double door front. The doors have arched and recessed panels. Inside the recessed areas. Each door has a raised, English Tudor style shield. The shields feature a yellow stain which provides contrast to the medium stain of the surrounding wood. There is a decorative, scalloped apron with incised accents as well. The cabinet has beautiful, turned wood front legs and sleek, straight back legs. There are stretcher supports between the front and back legs as well as a center support. The cabinet has generous storage inside. There are no shelves, just open storage space. ... moreThe bottom storage area is a thinner piece of wood than the balance of the cabinet. The cabinet is in very good condition. The finish is very good. There are a few light surface scuffs and scratches, but nothing severe or distracting. The cabinet is very sturdy with no wobbling. There are two very small drilled holes; one in the very back and one on the bottom of the inner cabinet. I think someone may have used this as a media cabinet at some point and the holes were drilled for power cords. The cabinet has a back molding piece that someone has reattached with relatively new brackets(see photo 12) The cabinet is also marked, in ink, goes to Jodi Brand" which is probably a family member of a previous owner. We are consigning this item for a very sweet older gentleman that wants to downsize. He is very particular about the care of his furniture. It has been well cared for and still includes the key. Here is a marvelous antique heavy carved English dresser. Circa 1900-1920, and in very nice condition as described in detail under condition above and in my multiple pictures included here. This is an absolutely lovely sturdy solid heavy carved oak piece. With dovetailed drawers, gorgeous carvings and lots of open cabinet space below for storage on blind shelves behind the decorative doors. There are two large functional drawers and all the old metal hardware on this piece is intact and appears original. This terrific early twentieth century piece has a large work or serving space, 55 inches long by almost 20 inches deep front to back at a height of 38 inches providing lots of options for this piece from use as a dresser, to a sideboard, or even better yet an awesome large flat screen TV stand, which you can use either with or without the ... moreback mantle in place, which removes for safe shipping either way. This gorgeous antique heavy carved pece was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland and was manufactured in either England or Scotland. This is a large piece which stands 50 1/2 inches tall to the top of the removable back decorative mantle. Which measures 55 inches long by 12 1/2 inches tall. The surface height on this dresser is 38 inches and the large base piece measures 55 inches long by 19 3/4 inches deep, front to back. the two large drawers across the top are each 21 3/4 inches wide by 13 3/4 inches front to back and 3 3/4 inches deep. The open cabinet space behind the two lower decorative heavy carved doors measures 51 3/4 inches wide by 15 1/4 inch front to back to 25 inches tall and is divided in half by one shelf, leaving 10 3/4 inches clearance above the base of the cabinet and 10 3/4 inches above the shelf which runs the width of the cabinet. The doors were constructed with lovely flame mahogany ovals and the drawer fronts display the flame mahogany nicely as well. The left and right cabinets come equipped with a sturdy shelf for dishware. Both doors lock securely and one key is included. The rope twist carved molding adds an extra dimension of character to this extravagant piece, and all sits atop marvelous ball and claw feet. Being such a heavy and sturdy sideboard this piece has withstood the test of time very well. There are a few minor cosmetic issues to mention. Also. In the right cabinet there would have been a lead line drawer for wine bottles that is now missing. It was probably removed on purpose to allow for more storage space in that cabinet. Here is a terrific antique heavy carved dark oak barley twist sideboard in very nice condition commensurate with it's age. It was manufactured in England by Bopwith and Company. Newcastle and is marked such with a button tag on the edge of the top center drawer. It has lovely fleur-di-lis and other heavy carvings on the doors and trim, shield back mantle and very nice large top surface. This delightful old piece even has a cellarette inside the right side lower cabinet as well as lots of open cabinet space as well as two large central drawers. The absolutely gorgeous heavy original teardrop brass hardware, 3 inch tear drops on the drawers and 1 3/4 inch tear drops on the side cabinet doors, is an additional highlight of this lovely piece of early 20th century English furniture along with the beautifully turned barley twist stretcher. ... moreThis is a large sturdy piece and can serve alternate purposes as well such as a perfect large flt screen TV stand or providing extra counter space in an old style country kitchen with it's very functional large 39 1/2 inch tall height work surface. It was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland. it travels in three pieces, the barley twist stretch base, the main cabinet and the removable top back mantle. This sideboard stands 56 inches tall to the top of the removable back mantle and measures 72 inches long by 22 inches deep. Front to back. This sideboard has two large center drawers, each 23 inches wide by 17 inches front to back and 6 3/4 inches deep. The two side cabinets are each 19 1/4 inches tall by 20 1/4 inches wide and 18 1/2 inches front to back. The left side cabinet has a removable shelf that divides the cabinet in two leaving 9 inches clearance above the shelf and 10 inches clearance below the shelf. The right side cabinet house the pull out celleratte. with cut out holes for a number of bottles of varying size and measuring 17 1/4 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches front to back and with 4 3/4 inches depth for bottles below the cut out and 9 1/4 inch
