Established in the mid 19th century and renowned for their exceptional quality and benchmade construction. This is a very fine example, quite angular with clean undistracted lines. A single drawer in the center retains it's original stamped brass bail pulls, opening to reveal a felt upholstered interior(remaining in excellent condition) and the Potthast branding. The drawer is hand dovetailed along the front and back corners, the bottom of the drawer machine chamfered along the edges and set in grooves with small supporting blocks. Beneath the drawer are a pair of cupboard doors, opening to reveal a shelved interior.
