Crafted of solid Mahogany with stringer inlays during the last years of the 18th Century. The top is a single solid plank of mahogany conforming to the sharp serpentine shape of the case, affixed from the underside with entirely original hand filed steel screws- as a result of the screw joinery, coupled with years of experiencing shrinking and expanding with humidity changes, the top has experienced some light cracking along the grains(review images and condition for full overview) Beneath the slight projection of the top. A pair of drawers on either side of the case flank a pair of doors beneath a larger medial drawer. All of the drawers have the typical joinery, large colonial hand dovetails beneath applied cockbead molding, the drawer bottoms sharply chamfered to slide into rabbets along the drawer frame with cut iron nails tacking the back edge. While one drawer bottom is partially poplar, the rest remain almost purely crafted of yellow pine secondary woods, the curving drawer fronts crafted with laminated yellow pine blocks beneath a fine flamed grain mahogany veneer. The composition of the veneers is remarkable, the drawers flowing from one into the next with mostly pure transitions. Fully original oval brasses smoothly operate the drawers, all of which have fine smooth action and great strength. The case rests over long tapered legs of unusual thin profiles- note the fragility of the toes. How each leg comes as close to a point as possible while raising the substantial weight of this great case. The underside is untouched, revealing a simple and effective joinery- the serpentine medial blade is pseudo-dovetailed into either front leg(note the half-dovetail form they are cut into on either end) the flanking blades tenoned into the legs with double tongues. $550.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Charlotte, United States Offered for sale is a Stunning Baker Furniture Hepplewhite Inlaid Mahogany Demilune Sideboard/Server/Buffet. This bowfront sideboard features two deep ... moredrawers and four curved doors with storage cabinets. All with beautiful brass carved pulls. The top drawer has the Baker nameplate and a green silverware liner and the drawer below is a tambour-style with an arched surround. The mahogany features a gorgeous inlaid cross-banded border with inlaid stringing all supported on six tapered legs with spade feet. The sideboard measures 66" wide x 37" high x 27.5" deep. I believe this sideboard is 20-25 years old but I am not sure of the exact age. It may be older. Overall it is in excellent condition with the following exceptions: there are a few light scuffs/scratches on the top(see pic#11) and the back left leg has a hairline crack that extends from the foot upwards approximately 3-4 inches(see pic#12) This crack does not appear to affect the sturdiness of the piece. I have discounted the price to reflect this issue. Overall, as is the case with all Baker mahogany furniture, this sideboard is a stunning piece of furniture that is a beauty to behold. Beautiful Vintage/Antique Buffet. Very ornate with all kinds of inlaid wood. Original hardware, One family owned since new. Refinished by my neighbor a professional wood worker around 1970. This was my grand parents buffet from the early 1900's, my aunt is 92 years old and said it was in their house as long as she can remember then was given to my parents and we had it as long as I can remember and I am 58 years old. Antique Mahogany Federal Style Inlaid Brandy Server Small Bow Front
This is a charming diminutive bow front brandy server. The server is 43 inches wide. 34 inches high and 18 ¼ inches deep. It is made of mahogany and has string inlay. The secondary wood is chestnut. It is Federal in style but dates to around 1900. There are 3 drawers over 4 doors. The back of the drawers are dovetailed but the fronts are not due to the curved shapes of the drawer fronts. It is in very good condition. There is a spot on the trim on the left center door that has some a little bit of damage. There is a chip on the right door across from the damage. Crafted in the mid-20th Century, this fine American Federal Style Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard comes from one of the east coast's finest furniture manufacturers. Entirely bench made. The piece is joined with hand cut dovetails, machine beveled panels that slide into rabbets in the frame throughout and fine stamped hardware. The grains selected for the mahogany surfaces simply glow, reflecting warm light in soft parallel rays. Each front panel is framed in squared stringer inlays with notched corners, the legs decorated with hanging bellflower inlays and the apron finished with fine bands of ebony and golden stringer inlay. Remaining in outstanding original ... morecondition. Mostly untouched since it's craftsmanship and still retaining it's original labels, this is a fine selection for anyone passionate about the period. An incredibly solid and well formed piece, this work of art is an investment that will last for countless generations to become a fine antique of the next century. A very fine antique. Circa 1920's, solid mahogany Louis XV style sideboard, the front drawers and sides with veneers and bands of parquet inlay, the sideboard front corners wth walnut burl. It is finely carved on legs, skirt, and stretchers with scrolling acanthus leaves. The straight back legs, and the center drawer, are fluted. The Belgian black marble top with beveled edge is fine without damage or repairs. It measures 7" 84" wide by 3'1" 37" tall by 23" deep. Excellent condition: original brown unworn finish, no losses to inlays, veneers, or burls.

Dating from the 1900s to 1910s. This is a mahogany dainty maple pinstripe sideboard in the Hepplewhite style with a mirror back. It has ... morethree matching serpentine drawers, all dovetail, in the center, two reverse curve doors that open up and two reverse curve dovetail drawers. It was made by the J.K. Rishel Furniture Company of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. There is inlay across the top, the front, and the tapered Hepplewhite legs. It’s very heavy, and of very nice quality, and we also are offering a matching server, if it is still available, so check our site. The overall size is 62 inches long, 24 inches deep, 40 inches to the top of the cabinet, and 52.5 inches to the top of the mirror. The overall condition is great, and we have re-sprayed the top to bring out the gorgeous grains of the solid mahogany used. It is finished in a light reddish brown stain, and the only flaw I can see is that someone must have transported it and put a little dent in the left hand door that doesn’t go all the way through the wood grain. Around the edges of a couple of the drawers there is also a bit of damage. This is a beautiful antique inland mahogany desser or tea server dating to the 1940's. PLEASE NOTE: the pictures were taken in bright sunlight and came out a bit too red in color.the server has a rich brownish/red mahogany tone. The top of the server has a delicate backsplash. There is one top drawer which features multi-exotic inlay and is quality dovetailed and maintains its original brass pulls. The table has tapered legs with inlay at the top that join a lower serving shelf. The server is solid. Sturdy and in excellent condition for its age. The item measures 31" by 16" and stands 30 1/2" tall.

Fine Potthast Federal Style Antique Sideboard with Inlaid Mahogany, 20th Century
FINE BENCHMADE AMERICAN FEDERAL STYLE INLAID MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD Potthast Brothers. Maryland, 20th Century Item# 412QXR08S This is an exquisite reproduction sideboard by the Potthast Brothers furniture firm. Established in the mid 19th century and renowned for their exceptional quality and benchmade construction. This is a very fine example, quite angular with clean undistracted lines. A single drawer in the center retains it's original stamped brass bail pulls, opening to reveal a felt upholstered interior(remaining in excellent condition) and the Potthast branding. The drawer is hand dovetailed along the front and back corners, the bottom of the drawer machine chamfered along the edges and set in grooves with small supporting blocks. Beneath the drawer are a pair of cupboard doors, opening to reveal a shelved interior. This is flanked ... moreby full height cupboard doors on the right and left, each veneered with vibrant crotch-mahogany. Each leg is inlaid with a complex patera oval with rectangular double-stringer inlays over the hanging bellflowers that flow down the tapered leg. These terminate in perfect spade feet. Works by the Potthast Brothers are broadly regarded as"tomorrow's antiques" Crafted to last the test of time both structurally and stylistically- the classical form of the present example is timeless, as this style has been cherished for two hundred years. It will certainly be the statement piece of any formal dining room. Antique Mahogany Federal Inlaid Sideboard Hellam Furniture, Hellam PA
This sideboard was made by Hellam Furniture Co. in Hellam. PA. Hellam made high quality furniture from the turn of the centrury until mid century. This sideboard/buffet has beautiful inlay, with dovetail drawers and it is a federal style like Hepplewhite or Sheridan. The condition is vintage with light surface scratches appropriate with age(highlighted in the pics) It is of medium size at 66 inches long. 21 wide and 38.8 high. I would say the condition is good to very good. I will assist with shipping but it is arranged by buyer. Do not know actual weight but approximately 100 lbs.
