Circa 1920 Oak Back splash is not original Few small stains(see description) Sturdy and heavy Has key, Made from a wonderful selection of English oak. This antique Arts and Crafts sideboard is a sturdy and beautiful addition for any dining room. Not only does it provide more than ample storage, it also has a unique and eye-catching look to it. This sideboard was made sometime around the year 1920 in England. The oak wood has a lovely. Light patina that will continue to grow deeper and more beautiful ... moreas it ages. For storage there are two large drawers and three cabinet sections. Both drawers open and close easily and were constructed with dovetailed drawer joints. There are two large drop ring brass handles on each drawer. The three cabinet doors are each decorated with beautiful carvings that have a very regal look to them. The left cabinet contains two pull out slides that are lined with green felt. the felt is old and dingy) The center cabinet is completely open although it appears to have had shelves or slides at one point. The right hand cabinet has one pull out drawer at the bottom which appears to be a later addition to the piece. All three doors lock and one key is included. Being such a heavy and sturdy Arts and Crafts sideboard this piece has withstood the test of time very well. There are a few minor cosmetic issues to mention. There is a small light stain on the bottom moulding near the left front foot. The right side panel has a slight age separation to it. The top has a few old stains and a ring mark. The bottom drawer is a s ingle full width drawer! There i s a built-in felt lined silverware drawer in the right cabinet! Each set of cabinets are designed to lock! note- locks are in place- there are no keys) The Buffet Table is Approximately 6' 72" in length x 38" Tall(42.5" tall including back splashboard) x 23" Deep The cabinet height from the top of the legs is approximately 22" Over all. This buffet table is in very good condition for it's age, but it does need some minor repairs- please see below for details- The top of the table does show wear from use and age. Most of the wear is sur face wear and a lot of it could probably ... morebe buffed out if so desired. The photo was taken at an angle to capture the detail and over emphasi zes the appearance. Aesthetically. The biggest issue is the small piece of missing trim on the right side of the left half of the drawer. There are two spindles that are not in place across the bottom. Unfortunately. There is only one spindle available, the second spindle is missing and will need to be replaced. Functionally. The drawer is currently difficult to open and close, but I believe this is due to the bottom spindles not being in place and would be easily remedied. There is a small area(about quarter sized) on the left top of the table that was there at the time the table was made and is simply a characteristic fl aw in the wood that was used and simply adds to the unique antique characteristics of the entire piece. These are all relatively easy repairs. But they are repairs that are best left to those with experience in the area of antique repairs. Overall- a very beautiful piece of American history! Here we have a beautiful French Oak display case. The front door is carved oak in a Deco style. It has beveled glass all around with a mirrored back. It measures 19 1/2 inches tall. 13 3/8 inches deep and 14 3/8 inches wide. The interior plate glass shelf measures 12 1/2 inches by 11 1/4 inches. It is in excellent condition with a slight bit of finish loss to the top only. The lock works smoothly and has the original brass Art Deco key. This is one of a pair we are selling, originally meant to sit on the top of a sideboard. Note there is an unobtrusive groove on one side of the case that would originally allow a mirror to be held between the two cases(see photo nea the bottom) This particular case is the right hand opening door, i.e. the lock is on the left. The long drawer in the middle needs slight repair to the bottom of the drawer to keep it from sticking. original glass knobs are gone but easily found in antique markets.this piece was covered in multiple layers of oil paint. The hinges to doors are missing. One door is cracked but can be repaired with glue. Queen Anne antique oak buffet
This is a beautiful buffet it is solid oak with some veneering on top.There is no labeling on this piece but I believe it was from the North Western Mastercraft Furniture company(have no proof) from around the 1940. The buffet is still in pretty good condition it has been redone a couple of times. At one time some one took most of the beautiful old gingerbreading off and then someone tried to replace it. The handles are not original but very authentic looking. We got it 20 yrs ago to go with a 100 yr old table that will also be listed on a separate listing. We moved and no longer have room. There are three drawers and two doors, held quite a bit of storage. Very clean piece. Antique Art Deco Buffet This is a gorgeous. Antique piece of furniture. It could be called by many names and serve a variety of purposes: hutch, bar, sideboard, buffet, credenza, server or china cabinet. Whatever you call it, it is a lovely piece of furniture. The previous owner stated that she acquired this from Europe, specifically England. The only marking is"220" in chalk on the back. The buffet appears to be composed of tiger oak. With a medium-tone finish. The wood features carved ornamentation of fruit and foliage, a motif very popular during the Art Nouveau period from 1910-1930. The surface of the buffet has a marble top that is red in color with gray veining. There is a beveled mirror on the recessed portion of the top section of the buffet. The doors of the buffet have beautiful brass pulls and working locks. We have ... morethe original key, which operates all of the locks. The doors have a unique brass hinge design which allows them to be removed without the use of a tool. The top center door is glass. The final feature, which is also my favorite, are the curved feet that support the body of the buffet. The buffet has the following dimensions: Height: 78 5/8" Width: 54" Depth: 18" Specifics: Height to top of base(top of marble surface) 41 1/2" Interior of bottom section: 53 1/2" wide by 33 1/4" tall by 15" deep Interior of the top section: 50" wide by 17" tall by 11" deep Interior of the center drawer: 20 7/8" wide by 14 1/4" deep by 4 1/4" tall, The top section of the buffet is easily removed. Up for auction is a very nice Antique Mission Oak Arts& Crafts Sideboard/Buffet. It is solid oak- very sturdy and very heavy. The mirror/shelf can be detached and it can be used as a server without the mirror if you like. A deep. Arched hooded top is supported by two large(22"tall) highly carved winged griffins and backed with a large, curving bevelled mirror that is in excellent condition. The base has large pawed feet and even a center wine drawer between the two doors which is seldom found. Every surface is quarter sawn tiger oak and there is no damage. I have had this in my home for over 20 years and have always loved the great form and tall counter height(43" including the 1-3/4" removable wooden casters on the feet) which is seldom found. I don't know the manufacturer and can find no label on it but judging from the quality of the cabinet and the hardware it could be Stickley. Limbert, or another comparable maker from the very early 1900's. All solid quarter sawn tiger oak throughout. No breaks or repairs. Nice original finish with only normal light surface wear. There is one pull missing on the bottom drawer. Measurements are 58" long. 57-1/4" tall to the top of the mirror, 43" height to the counter top, and 22-1/2" deep.
