This good sized sideboard has a solid top with rounded edge over a triple panelled front with carved Gothic arch detailing enclosing shelves sat atop a framed base with bulbous supports and stretchers. OLD Antique Edwardian style solid oak Buffet/Sideboard (Spanish Mexican Hacienda
I was told by the Antique shop(India St. Antiques in San Diego) that I bought this from years ago. This is a English made, Edwardian in style sideboard/buffet made arouns 1900-1911. It is solid oak and very sturdy with dove tailed drawers. One drawer is lined and set up for silverware. Silverware not included. It is 48" long, 18 1/2" deep and 38 1/4" tall. I put down Spanish/ Mexican Hacienda in my heading as is looks very good in my old 1929 Spanish cottage style house. I am selling it because I am switching over to Mid Century Modern. I will help with shipping and can drop off at any shipper in central San Diego.

The bottom drawer is a s ingle full width drawer! There i s a built-in felt lined silverware drawer in the right cabinet! Each set of cabinets are designed to lock! note- locks are in place- there are no keys) The Buffet Table is Approximately 6' 72" in length x 38" Tall(42.5" tall including back splashboard) x 23" Deep The cabinet height from the top of the legs is approximately 22" Over all. This buffet table is in very good condition for it's age, but it does need some minor repairs- please see below for details- The top of the table does show wear from use and age. Most of the wear is sur face wear and a lot of it could probably be buffed ... moreout if so desired. The photo was taken at an angle to capture the detail and over emphasi zes the appearance. Aesthetically. The biggest issue is the small piece of missing trim on the right side of the left half of the drawer. There are two spindles that are not in place across the bottom. Unfortunately. There is only one spindle available, the second spindle is missing and will need to be replaced. Functionally. The drawer is currently difficult to open and close, but I believe this is due to the bottom spindles not being in place and would be easily remedied. There is a small area(about quarter sized) on the left top of the table that was there at the time the table was made and is simply a characteristic fl aw in the wood that was used and simply adds to the unique antique characteristics of the entire piece. These are all relatively easy repairs. But they are repairs that are best left to those with experience in the area of antique repairs. Overall- a very beautiful piece of American history! This is an original antique English Tiger Oak Server/ Sideboard/ Buffet/ Credenza. It is exquisitely and expertly carved and all one piece and beautiful with 2 removable/adjustable shelves on both sides and 5 drawers(all dovetailed) in the middle and 8 queen anne like legs. I will put the shelves inside either side before pick-up or shipping. This is an early 20th century french country/ Louis XV style European side board. Ideal to store linen. Barware, kitchenware, dinnerware, etc. etc. This is an original and authentic antique piece of furniture. I have seen reproductions of this piece on eBay but they are not as handsome and attractive as this piece.
