This is truly a wonderful piece. It has beautiful oak barley twist legs and bottom brace. And beautiful style. It measures 54" wide, 20" deep, and appx 55" tall. All hardware is original(to my knowledge) with only one broken backplate, which is hardly noticeable, and looks bent, on the right side in pic#5. Otherwise, it is just beautiful. Tel: 01432 357753 Description: This is a very attractive Jacobean/ Carolean design two drawer dresser base/ server/ sideboard with beautiful split turned decorations with oval cabochons and panelled front legs. The dresser base stands on solid oak panelled front legs with decorative ogee mouldings forming a panel to the front legs with a classic egg shaped ovoid oval cabochon rising over with very decorative scrolled spandrels with a deep moulding above which are the split turned decorations flanking either side of the drawers and decorated on the drawer fronts. There are two panels to each drawer giving the appearance of four drawers running across the front. But forming two drawers, with original pierced ... morebatwing handles with shaped droppers, set in a plain frame with a moulded edge. The dresser has planked sides, the top being deep moulded, all in solid oak. The drawers have dovetail joints and period style drawer runners with solid oak linings. A classic piece of traditional English oak furniture. Date: The dresser base dates circa 1900- 1920. Condition: The dresser base is generally in good condition for its age. One of the handles has lost its bottom knop. Of no great significance, but worth mentioning. The dresser base retains its original finish with a rich antique patinated rich medium to dark oak colour with the darker oak phasing into a lovely medium oak. This"hunt board" or small sideboard or console is American made furniture, the trestle base frame is strong and tight. The deep brown finish is in excellent condition on solid oak. English sideboard in tiger oak. Jacobean style. Circa 1920. Measurements: 54" long x 18 1/2" deep. Panelled back is 7 1/2" high. Total height is 44" There are 4 metal pear drop pulls on the 2 panelled dovetailed drawers- not original. The cupboards. However, have the original pulls with lock system. No key. Lots of decoration. The legs are barley twist and the barley twist continues on both sides of the upper portion of the cupboards. The top panel is pegged into the sideboard and could be removed. If desired, for traveling and then glued solidly in when this piece is in its final position. The feet are bulbous with a stretch system between. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique cabinet. This is a gorgeous cabinet/sideboard or accent entry table that dates to the 1920s. The cabinet is solid wood(Maple or Pine) with beautiful grain pattern. The cabinet has both Art Deco and Jacobean details. The cabinet has a double door front. The doors have arched and recessed panels. Inside the recessed areas. Each door has a raised, English Tudor style shield. The shields feature a yellow stain which provides contrast to the medium stain of the surrounding wood. There is a decorative, scalloped apron with incised accents as well. The cabinet has beautiful, turned wood front legs and sleek, straight back legs. There are stretcher supports between the front and back legs as well as a center support. The cabinet has generous storage inside. There are no shelves, just open storage space. ... moreThe bottom storage area is a thinner piece of wood than the balance of the cabinet. The cabinet is in very good condition. The finish is very good. There are a few light surface scuffs and scratches, but nothing severe or distracting. The cabinet is very sturdy with no wobbling. There are two very small drilled holes; one in the very back and one on the bottom of the inner cabinet. I think someone may have used this as a media cabinet at some point and the holes were drilled for power cords. The cabinet has a back molding piece that someone has reattached with relatively new brackets(see photo 12) The cabinet is also marked, in ink, goes to Jodi Brand" which is probably a family member of a previous owner. This is a beautiful and functional piece of antique furniture. It is quite striking as well. The cabinet measures 34" wide. This antique Arts and Crafts sideboard is a sturdy and beautiful addition for any dining room. Not only does it provide more than ample storage, it also has a unique and eye-catching look to it. This sideboard was made sometime around the year 1920 in England. The oak wood has a lovely. Light patina that will continue to grow deeper and more beautiful ... moreas it ages. For storage there are two large drawers and three cabinet sections. Both drawers open and close easily and were constructed with dovetailed drawer joints. There are two large drop ring brass handles on each drawer. The three cabinet doors are each decorated with beautiful carvings that have a very regal look to them. The left cabinet contains two pull out slides that are lined with green felt. the felt is old and dingy) The center cabinet is completely open although it appears to have had shelves or slides at one point. The right hand cabinet has one pull out drawer at the bottom which appears to be a later addition to the piece. All three doors lock and one key is included. Being such a heavy and sturdy Arts and Crafts sideboard this piece has withstood the test of time very well. There are a few minor cosmetic issues to mention. There is a small light stain on the bottom moulding near the left front foot. The right side panel has a slight age separation to it. The top has a few old stains and a ring mark.
