The open top pair is marked with a"CW" on one side and the number one on the other. They measure 5" long. The other pair is unmarked and measures 5.25" long. This auction is for all 4 locks! If you need more pictures just ask! I'm not an expert on every item I sell so if I left something out please ask questions. I insure all items I ship out at my own expense. Up for auction is a vintage pair of large Oar Locks. Only markings are the letter M cast into them. The oar openning is 3 3/4" diameter. They measure 8 1/4" long. The shaft diameter is 3/4" No breaks or cracks. Nice ring when struck. Some nickle plating remains. Please look at all the pictures to help with description. Lot of 4 Vintage Row Boat Oar Locks 1 Matching Set
The small set is 5-1/2 inches long. Both have a W or M logo + a number 1 on them. They are in very good condition. The other open faced one is around 7 inches long. The only thing on it is the numbers 21. Its also in very good condition. The circke one is 5-1/2 inches long. It has no logos and is in good condition. These are made out of galvanized steel. I get most of my items at auctions and estate sales and can not guarantee they are smoke free. I do combine shipping at or below the actual postage cost.

Lot of 13 Oarlocks w Side Mounts Vintage Nautical Oar Holders Boat Oar Locks
T his lot of oarlocks came out of a barn at an estate auction in Vermont. There are 13 oar holders than measure in size from 5" to 6" long and 1 7/8" to 2 1/4" across the inside of the opening. I am not sure if any of the brackets go with the oarlocks. One bracket has a broken end. See the 7th picture. They all have some wear and rust. On Jun-06-13 at 13:23:50 PDT. 4) Mix Vintage Oar Locks Open U Shaped 1) 5 1/2" open top oar lock. On one side I it has the number 201 and the letter P. The other side shows a 1 and the letter A stamped. Made of steel or aluminum. Seems heavier then the obvious aluminum one. This one does not have the two holes on the top of both sides, just one off to the side. 2) Appears to a cast iron with numbers stamped 788 or 7SS on one side and another marking I cant make out the top mark but then the letter E. 3) Plain aluminum with no markings. During its 100-year history. Alexandria Boat Works grew from a teenage boy building a simple fishing boat to the design, creation and legacy of more than 15,000 watercraft. Boats from lake country In Alexandria. There’s a lake everywhere you look. In the late 1800s it was lake country living at its finest– a lush landscape dappled with clear, cool lakes. Erick Erickson was a product of that environment, so it only seemed natural that Erickson would go on to establish ... morethe successful venture of Alexandria Boat Works. At age 17 Erickson built a boat to get out on Lake Ida and do some fishing. Neighbors soon asked if he’d build boats for them. From there. He went on to build and sell boats as a hobby and earn the nickname“Boat” Erickson. In 1885. Alexandria Boat Works was well on its way. Erickson worked out of a small shop until 1903, when he moved the business to downtown Alexandria. He tapped into the town’s utility line and had a steam pipe extended into his boat shop, using the steam to bend boat ribs and other wood boat components. Erickson used wood-strip, smooth-hull construction for his company’s boats. The strips often were crafted from western red cedar, cypress or redwood. Vintage Steel Wilcox and Crittenden Oar Locks Rowboat Nautical Maritime Pulley
For your consideration are two slightly used vintage Wilcox and Crittenden oar locks and a pulley. They are in excellent slightly used vintage condition. The oar locks are not a pair. One of them has a 2" inch opening while the other has a 2.25" inch opening. Both have 2" inch long posts and all pieces display the Wilcox and Crittenden emblem. They are all cast galvanized steel. The post and socket will need to be smoothed and worked for a proper fit as these were never mounted to a boat. Rare Vintage Bronze Oar Locks Set W/ Mounts Perfect For Custom Rowing Skiff
This is a beautiful old pair of bronze oarlocks and mounts. They have 2 1/2" openings. And stand about 3 3/4" tall in the mounts. The oar locks are easily removed from the bases after you rotate them 90 degrees. Both are in excellent condition. At a glance both bases look identical, but if you physically put them back to back against each other, there are a couple of subtle differences. One of the bases is a little over 1/8" longer than the other, and maybe 1/16" thicker. Hardly an issue, because once mounted on the boat it couldn't possibly be noticed. These old oar locks are pretty rare. And are worthy of being installed on a high end quality rowing skiff or dory. Shipping is free to the lower 48 states.
