Antique Brass Perko Bilge Pump
This is an antique brass Perko bilge pump. It has a 1.000" inside diameter) body and is 17-1/2" long. It is 29" in length when fully extended. The pump is in non-working condition. Although the check ball is there. I t is missing a keeper of some type. Which would screw into the bottom of the inside tube. The w ood handle is split on one side. The suction screen has what appears to be some silicon sealant over a hole. As well as some smaller tears in the screen. This would be a nice pump for display. This auction is for a solid brass bilge pump made by PERCO. It is in the original aged petina and has never been polished. I'm sure it will polish up as beautiful as any other brass piece. The handle is wood but has been wrapped with red tape. 30" long closed and when totally extended measures 49" Could be used as a decoration or functional on any boat. I submerged the bottom in water and found it to be very functional. Draws water from the bottom and pumps out at the top where a hose would be attached. Please see photos for the condition.

You are bidding on a wonderful antique C. PERKES BRASS& CAST IRON BILGE HAND PUMP. It is in EXCELLENT near PRISTINE condition. The old timer I purchased this from said his father would use this pump to fill the steam engine tractor that they used. You put your foot through the hole in the cast iron base. It is a beautiful piece to look at and made mostly of brass. It still has the rubber seal in the pump so I am sure it works! This was also commonly used as a bilge pump on boats. You just need to pick it up to know that the quality is amazing. The last patent year is 1901. S PECS: The pump body is 2.00" O.D. by about 10" long. Inside diameter(where the plunger moves) is 1.84" I.D. The plunger inside appears to be leather. And is in good shape considering its age. Overall height retracted is 24-1/8" tall, with stroke ... moreextended about 33" tall overall. Nice comfortable two-hand wooden handle is 8-1/2" wide. This item weighs in at a very solid 10 lb 1 oz(4563 g) The water inlet is 2" from the floor, and the water outlet fits the female end of a standard 3/4" garden hose. We did not test whether or not it pumps water- didn't want water inside messing up shipping/padding- but the plunger operates up/down as it should. And one can feel air pressure on the outlet when pumping. But you should assume that it needs work/maintenance to be operational/reliable as a bilge pump on your boat or ship. Pumping action is essentially smooth; probably even more so if some grease were added to the plunger inside- but we've left that to you, if you so choose to do so. If you have any questions. I see a P stamped into the iron on the handle. Which makes me think it is a Perko. It works! Could be loads of fun for the kids or grandkids to pump water out of stagnate water in your garden? Iron handle and foot hold. I am told the side piece is to put your foot on when pumping out of container or bucket. Iron is very rusty, but sturdy. I think it may have had a nipple that broke off where hole is? I tried it and it pumps water out of brass hole. New piece of brass could be soldered on if you wanted?

This piece is all original and in very nice shape, this piece measures approx. 10 3/8 inches long, the brass vacuum tube has no pitting or staining on the brass and appears as though with a little brass cleaner it would shine brilliantly. The handle and both the suction and outlet nozzle have no signs of dry rot or cracking, and this piece still has great vacuum and functions as it should, This is a great item for your vintage runabout or with it's shiny brass, a great display piece perfect for a outdoor or nautical theme. Vtg. Brass Boat Bilge Pump, WC Wilcox Crittenden Hardware, Hand Tool Wood Handle
This is a vintage or antique boat bilge pump. It is marked"WC" which is Wilcox Crittenden. It is in very good condition. The brass has no dents. And the wood had no cracks or chips. Closed. The pump is 19 1/2" long. Extended, it is 31 1/2"long. The handle is green painted wood. The pump fits an ordinary 1" hose. I have photos of all sides and parts to show any age or wear. The pump is working. But will need a new gasket if you want to use it. Otherwise, it is clean and ready for nautical decor. I offer a refund if the buyer is not pleased. Thanks for looking!
