Siebe Gorman Diving Helmet Suit Rubber Wrist Seal New and Unused

This single seal measures approx 9 inches(22 cms) long. Around 5 inches(12.5 cms) diameter at the widest end(where it joins the suit) and approx 2.5 inches( 6 cms) at the actual smallest diameter which is the actual wrist seal. The rubber is in excellent condition with no signs of wear or damage although it has some marks but only from storage but this should be evident from the photograph. Genuine Antique Siebe Gorman Brass Divers "Sandshoe" Diving Boot, C1900 - Rare !
Here is a very rare SIEBE GORMAN brass"sandshoe" Being part of a helmet divers boot. From my research this particular shape is one of the first,if not the first made by Siebe Gorman. This shape dates to the early 1900s, but may be late 19th century. The boot would have had a thick leather upper body with straps& buckles( the last two photos show complete boots) This auction is just for the brass sole. stamped LONDON along the heel- weighs 5.5kg- measures 34cm long by 15cm at its widest- The brass is worn on the sole from use It has a superb patina after more than 100 years& would be a fabulous addition to someone's diving collection or maritime display.a great show& conversation piece. very hard to obtain! A early vintage Siebe Gorman MOD issue Royal Navy divers torch working The casing of this 4-prong torch carries the maker’s inscription which is SIEBE GORMAN& Co. Ltd MAKERS LONDON. The AP number(AP4456) is also on the metal lens rim. An‘Admiralty Pattern’ A.P. refers to a design specification for the manufacture of an item that is specified by the Admiralty. AP numbers were used to identify a particular item and for naval stores use. Earlier MOD torches often have a simple four digit group of AP numbers such as AP4456 Stamped on the end of the torch is the naval acceptance or inspector’s marks DEE 347 and the crow foot mark This torch requires 3 D cell batteries(which are not included) It is fully working. It has the name‘Siebe Gorman& Co.Ltd Makers London’ inscribed into the body and on the outer rim. Around the domed glass magnifying lens, is the lettering‘A.P. 4456’ which I believe would have been the pattern or stock number? The torch looks to be intact and has a loose spring inside which is probably for adding tension to batteries. It could therefore possibly be made to work again however. I have not tested it and therefore it is being sold as seen- An old piece of diving equipment from the past. It has a few scratches. As seen in the images, from where it has been used.
