This is a one off metal casting taken from the admiralty pattern book. No duplicates from this mold were were made. ~ HMS Barrosa(D68) ~ HMS Barrosa was a later. Battle class fleet destroyer. I n 1948. Barrosa joined the 4th Destroyer Flotilla o f the Home Fleet. In 1950. Barrosa with one of her sister-ships and the carrier HMS Vengeance, where the small group performed a number of naval exercises and visits to a variety of ports. The crest is painted to depict a large crow to the center surrounded by a gold laurel wreath. The plaque is mounted on a pale wood shield with a hole to the rear for wall mounting. ~ HMS Vigo D31 ~. HMS Vigo(D31) was a Battle-class destroyer of the Royal Navy. She was named after the Battle of Vigo. Which took place in 1702 during the War of Spanish Succession between a British-Dutch Fleet and the French, and which ended in a victory for the British. Vigo was built by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company of Govan. She was launched on the on 27 September 1945 and commissioned on the on 9 December 1946. Upon commissioning. Vigo was placed in Reserve along with a number of her sister-ships. In 1949, Vigo joined the 3rd Destroyer ... moreFlotilla, based in the Mediterranean, which at that time, had quite a large Royal Navy presence. heavy old bronze ships crest hms wakeful looks to have original paint but i cant be sure in untouched condition 8 inch from top to bottom there were 2 hms wakeful so unsure to which this one refers too. Both ships had interesting historys. One was sunk with huge loss the other had a long varied history looks to be at least 50 years old heavy weighs over 2 kilos so will have to go courier approx 18.00 to europe 30.00 to rest of world approx

HMS Alamein. Ships Crest- mounted on wood Plaque is hand painted I think and depicts a golden wreath with an armoured arm to its centre against a field of red. This is a casting taken from the original or from the admiralty pattern book and I think may be a one off piece HMS Alamein(D17) was a Later or 1943 Battle-Class fleet destroyer of the British Royal Navy. She was named in honour of the Battle of El Alamein. Which took place in 1942 during the Second World War, between Commonwealth forces and the German Afrika Korps. Alamein was built by R&W. Hawthorn. Leslie& Company Limited on the Tyne.She was launched on 12 May 1945 and commissioned on the on 20 March 1946. This is a nice piece of Military/ Maritime history

Large HMS VIDAL Ships Crest which is made from solid metal so is very heavy. 10.25" tall x 8.5" wide and mounted onto a 3/4" thick Redwood Bulkhead. Weighs over 2 kilo.S. HMS VIDAL had a very interesting past which can be found on google sites. Looks to have been repainted to a good quality. Oversea's buyer should ask shipping cost before bidding as this will be costly owing to its weight. Please feel free to ask any questions. THIS IS A COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE OF THE SUBMARINE HMS AURIGA. IT IS MADE OF ALUMINIUM AND MOUNTED ON A WOODEN BOARD. SOME OF THE ENAMELLING IS A BIT SCRATCHED. IT MEASURES 10 IN X 8IN AND WEIGHS 1.4 KILOS. THANKS FOR LOOKING
