Antique or Vintage Oar Lock set with Brass Socket Mounts Sailing Fishing Rowing
Wow. I have never seen any of these and hate selling stuff I know nothing about but here we go. This is a complete set of oarlocks with the socket mounts. I believe these were used on old sailing yachts in the early 1900's. or possibly those large wooden row boats used for fishing off shore deep sea fishing. The oarlocks are numbered with the following. 7860 B- 0. 7860 R-0 The oar holders are not brass. The sockets are a very heavy brass; they are numbered 1 and 2. They measure 7 inches from socket to end of hinge and are almost 4 3/4 inches wide. They open and I don't know why. I do not have any bolts or screws.
