You are bidding on a wonderful antique C. PERKES BRASS& CAST IRON BILGE HAND PUMP. It is in EXCELLENT near PRISTINE condition. The old timer I purchased this from said his father would use this pump to fill the steam engine tractor that they used. You put your foot through the hole in the cast iron base. It is a beautiful piece to look at and made mostly of brass. It still has the rubber seal in the pump so I am sure it works! This was also commonly used as a bilge pump on boats. You just need to pick it up to know that the quality is amazing. The last patent year is 1901. S PECS: The pump body is 2.00" O.D. by about 10" long. Inside diameter(where the plunger moves) is 1.84" I.D. The plunger inside appears to be leather. And is in good shape considering its age. Overall height retracted is 24-1/8" tall, with stroke ... moreextended about 33" tall overall. Nice comfortable two-hand wooden handle is 8-1/2" wide. This item weighs in at a very solid 10 lb 1 oz(4563 g) The water inlet is 2" from the floor, and the water outlet fits the female end of a standard 3/4" garden hose. We did not test whether or not it pumps water- didn't want water inside messing up shipping/padding- but the plunger operates up/down as it should. And one can feel air pressure on the outlet when pumping. But you should assume that it needs work/maintenance to be operational/reliable as a bilge pump on your boat or ship. Pumping action is essentially smooth; probably even more so if some grease were added to the plunger inside- but we've left that to you, if you so choose to do so. If you have any questions. I see a P stamped into the iron on the handle. Which makes me think it is a Perko. It works! Could be loads of fun for the kids or grandkids to pump water out of stagnate water in your garden? Iron handle and foot hold. I am told the side piece is to put your foot on when pumping out of container or bucket. Iron is very rusty, but sturdy. I think it may have had a nipple that broke off where hole is? I tried it and it pumps water out of brass hole. New piece of brass could be soldered on if you wanted?

This is a awesome looking vintage(1950's) Peters& Russell hand pump/bilge pump. This piece is all original and in very nice shape, this piece measures approx. 10 3/8 inches long, the brass vacuum tube has no pitting or staining on the brass and appears as though with a little brass cleaner it would shine brilliantly. The handle and both the suction and outlet nozzle have no signs of dry rot or cracking, and this piece still has great vacuum and functions as it should, This is a great item for your vintage runabout or with it's shiny brass, a great display piece perfect for a outdoor or nautical theme. I believe this bilge pump to be made by Charles Perkes but do not know for certain. There is NO marking of C. Perkes on the pump but the there is stamped circumferentially around the threaded body cap/top: Pat Mar 15. 1898- June 18, 01" 1901] Referring to the two patents issued to Inventor Charles Perkes. It certainly is a great Nautical conversation piece Condition Needs a good cleaning Top nut on handle is missing and so is the associated handle washer.

Up for your consideration is a vintage brass hand pump. This is the type of pump that may have been used in the galley sink of a wooden sail boat or possibly as a bilge pump. It is made of brass and has a wood handle. It measures approximately 14 1/2" from tip to tip. And is 5" wide by 5" deep. This is a vintage or antique boat bilge pump. It is marked"WC" which is Wilcox Crittenden. It is in very good condition. The brass has no dents. And the wood had no cracks or chips. Closed. The pump is 19 1/2" long. Extended, it is 31 1/2"long. The handle is green painted wood. The pump fits an ordinary 1" hose. I have photos of all sides and parts to show any age or wear. The pump is working. But will need a new gasket if you want to use it. Otherwise, it is clean and ready for nautical decor. I offer a refund if the buyer is not pleased. Thanks for looking!

Antique Bilge Pump Brass Hand Operated "Wurkeze" No. 2 Nautical
Item up for your consideration is an Antique Brass Hand Bilge Pump. This Brass Pump is marked"Wurkeze No. 2" The Pump appears to be all Brass with a Wooden Handle. We haven't been able to find out much about this particular pump or who manufactured it. We believe that it dates in the early 1900's. It resembles a model made by the"Perko" Co. but we have no way of knowing rather or not they are related. The pump measures approx. 18 1/2 in. long and the Barrel measures approx. 1 1/2 in. in. dia. The handle stroke is approx. 10 in. There is something loose inside of the pump but we have no way of knowing if this is normal or not. We have not tested this pump because we did not want to alter the Patina or Appearance of the pump. We got this pump at an Estate Sale in Downeast Maine and we are offering it for sale"AS ... moreIS" and Un-tested. Vintage Boat Marine Water/Bilge hand pump
Old Boat hand pump. Hose is toasty but all there and not really fragile- just hard Some metal parts are olive drab- could this have some military use? No markings. Wood on handle Mesh on bottom of intake tube. I cant seem to pull up the handle but it wiggles- maybe the crimped metal just below it is some kind of lock? I dont know nothing bout these things! Its not ceased- it moves. Thats for you to figure out. 25" tall Pump weighs about 4 lbs This is old stock from a local hardware store here in Staten Island NY. Who knows- could be meant for use on a clamming or oystering boat since the Island was famous for its shellfish back in the day. Its a dirty little thing but solid Some Light surface rust.
