Antique Marine Boat Ship Cowl Vent Pipe Chrome over Brass
Selling an antique maritime boat or ship cowl vent. I believe this is made of brass with a chrome finish over it. It must have come off a large ship or boat as it is quite large and heavy. The cowl itself is over 13 pounds. Approximately 11" high by 5" deep by 8" wide, the vent pipe inside diameter is approximately 7 1/4" It is mounted on a wood base that is 5 1/2" high. So, the total height is almost 17" There is a makers marking on the inside that appears to be the letter C over the letter W. This came out of an estate of a man who had his basement filled with nautical items from the east coast area, and it was mounted on his wall. Great man cave piece. They measure about 10 1/2 inch tall. Base is about 4 3/4 inch across from edge of flange to edge of flange. Scoop mout is about 7 1/2 inch across. They look to be made out of brass that has been plated. they are in VERY GOOD condition though the one has a small section removed probably to clea something, please see my close up photo where i am pointing at this area.
