RARE. Condition: BRAND NEW VINTAGE Old Stock. 1) Hank of antique vintage Linen Cod Fishing Line. Approximately 5/32 diameter and approximately 48-50 feet long. I purchased this about 10 years ago from a small business in St. Louis that dealt in vintage and antique cordage among other historical artifacts. I originally intended to use it for my historical tent lines. But never did. It was advertised by him as“Linen Cod Fishing Line. He sold all manner of very interesting OLD things I have never seen before and he had positive vibes. That’s all I can tell you about it. From its color and texture. It is unlike any other cordage I have ever seen or made from scratch on my own from natural fibers. I have NO tags, labels or other documentation. Since the day I purchased it. It has been stored indoors in a sealed plastic bag. Out of direct sunlight ... moreand safe from vermin and insects. It has the same mild odor of either moth balls[NOT used by me] and/or age as when I bought it. SEE ALL PICS. Dimensions NOTE: Diameter I measure out at 5/32. I do not have a micrometer. So that’s as good as I can get. The pictures show it just as I bought it. I have NOT unwound it to measure it exactly- but as there are 18 loops at approximately 16” not counting the curves or the wraps as it was finished off- I estimate it is at least 48 feet. Antique Rope Boat Bumper Fender.from Oldest Cannery on Columbia River WA State
This is a very old Antique Rope Boat bumper/fender. It is from the Oldest cannery on the Columbia River in Washington State that my great grandfather started and is still in my family. These hung on the sides of the boat to protect it from the dock when tieing the boats up to deliver fish. They were pulled in when boat was again back out to sea and remained tied to the boat at all times for docking. These rope bumpers are rare and many didn't survive this long as the elements rotted the rope over time from going from wet to harsh sunlight. They make great yard art and can even be used for a boat today. Beach houses look adorable with this hanging on the wall also! If you have a vintage yacht or boat use this style of bumpers to keep all the aesthetics the same. This bumper is 21" long not counting the loop on the end. Vtg Nautical Sailing rope boat bumper fender Marine Lake Michigan Fishing Knot
This wonderful vintage(not sure of its age) found in our small fishing town along LAKE MICHIGAN shores in an old fishing shed. the hanging rope measures 27 inches for the just a little over 5 x 5 wood block covered by natural hemp. Just a fabulous piece of artisan craftsmanship. And wonderful nautical provenience from 1 of the great lakes. MICHIGAN. believed to be from a small commercial gill net boat, but would make a great addition to any little sail boat, or just as a nautical decoration.

Vintage - Antique Hand Braided Rope Boat Fender - Bumper - REDUCED PRICE TO SELL
Up for your viewing pleasure and consideration is a very gnarly apparently very old handmade antique( or vintage braided rope boat fender. This guy is well used and certainly appears to have been used for its intended purpose which makes it pretty interesting. There is significant age patina and the bottom braids are a bit frayed. It is 39" with the main fender measuring 28" The diameter is 3" 4" a little flattened from use- about the size of a baseball.
