Original Antique Ships Binnacle Compass Marine Oil Lamp C.Plath Hamburg Germany
This is an authentic ships binnacle compass made by Carl Plath Company of Hamburg Germany with signature on the compass as seen in pictures. The company started making compasses in 1876. This particular compass came from a deceased estate of an old man who collected Nautical items and is the real article. The compass in in great condition apart from a couple of small dents just below the glass at the front. The item is in perfect working order and has the burner and wick fully in tact. I have cleaned this up and it shines beautifully. Please see my other items and thanks for looking.
