Victoria Czecho-Slovakia Sugar Bowl Asian Blue Iris pattern
Sugar Bowl with lid by Victoria Schmidt China Company of Czecho-slovakia in the Asian Iris Garden pattern. It is breathtaking to see the young Asian Ladies viewing the Iris garden and the scenery beside their home on the lake and below the mountainous terrain. This is classic Victoria in an Asian pattern. Such detail and color to behold. The hand painting is very detailed. Looking at the painting with a magnifying glass reveals the true detail. The scene was painstakingly created in great detail. It is my hope that the photos will reveal to you the fine detail in the hand painting. The lid is adorned with cobalt blue Iris at 360 degrees. Dual square shouldered handles are dark buff colored as is the lid knob. High quality porcelain sugar bowl is ready to use, or collect, no chips, cracks, or scratches. Hallmark on bottom of bowl confirms ... morethat is indeed Victoria with crown, name and country. Artist’s mark can also be seen on bottom, could have been an Asian Ex-patriot or immigrant living in Czecho-Slovak. It may have been painted when the Artist was thinking about or inspired by his previous homeland far to the east. This is highly unusual. In November 1918, at the end of World War I, the Paris Peace committee created a new country Czecho-Slovak Republic, with a hyphen. Most of the people in the new country were the Czechs(Bohemians) and Slovaks, thus the name Czecho-Slovakia. In 1945, after World War II, the country of Czechoslovakia was restored to its mostly original borders. After this time the hyphen was not used in the English spelling of the country. The Czecho-Slovakia country name was generally used with the Victoria Hallmark in two periods, 1918 through 1945 and about 1990-1993. Czechoslovakia ceased being a country on January 1,1993 when it was divided into the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The Czechs and Slovaks always wanted to be independent entities. Antique Early 1800s Staffordshire 8" Octagon Flow Blue Sugar Bowl Davenport Amoy
This is an early 1800's flow blue sugar bowl made by Davenport in Staffordshire England. I believe it is made of soft paste porcelain. It has an octagon or eight sided shape. The mark appears to be one of their earliest. The base is stamped with pattern name"Amoy" along with"Davenport" in capital letters and there is an impressed anchor with Davenport printed around it. The pattern is a very attractive deep flow blue. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. As to the condition; The bowl is in excellent condition. There are no chips. Cracks, or noticeable scratches. There are normal rub marks on the top corners. There are two tiny spots on the finish. One looks like it could be a flake off the glaze and the other appears to have been done in ... morethe making. Both are insignificant. The lid has three tiny chips on the corners and a few underneath. The handle on the lid has a small chip mostly on the underside. These are not noticeable without close inspection and do not affect the display. Everything is clearly shown in the pictures. For it's age, I would say it is in excellent antique condition. This sugar bowl is good size. It measures 8" high with the lid on. It is 6 1/4" wide from handle to handle. The top rim is 5 1/4" across from corner to corner and the base is 4 1/4" across from corner to corner. It weighs 1 lb. 7 oz. unpacked. We pack everything very carefully. Offered here is a beautiful large antique sugar bowl. This sugar bowl has 99% of the extensive gold embellishments intact. There are no chips. Cracks or breaks noted. It stands 6 1/4" tall and about 7 1/2" wide at the widest distance between the handles. This is a very clean and fine piece of porcelain. Antique Vintage Sugar Box Blue & White Handles Fern Sugar Bowl Sugar Pot
This blue and white sugar box came from an auction in Vermont. The bottom is embossed with the maker's mark but I cannot make it out. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am unsure of it's age. It measures 5 3/4" high to the top of the knob on the lid, 6 3/4" across from handle to handle, and 4 5/8" wide. It has some discoloration marks. There are no cracks, some chipping on the rim and edge, next to and under where the lid rests. There is a chip on the corner of the lid and a small chip on the underside of the lid. There are a couple of rub marks, one on the handle, see the 7th picture. There are some rough spots.

Teichert was one of several local companies operating in the Meissen area that were granted permission by the German government to produce this pattern which was widely popular at the time and still is to this day. It measures roughly 3 5/8" tall x 3 3/4" in diameter. It has an applied rosebud on the cover that serves as a knob. Established local business since 1972. DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful earthenware soft paste sugar bowl and lid in THE ROYAL HOSPITAL OF ST. KATHERINE IN REGENT'S PARK image. It measures about 7" long from flower-embossed-scroll-handle to flower-embossed-scroll-handle. Is 4 3/8" wide at the extended edge of the shoulder, is 4 3/4" tall to the flared neck at the ends and stands about 6" tall to the lid's finial when set on the base. It is the correct lid for the base. The pattern is categorized as a British themed place. I have seen the same exact border on two different pieces categorized as floral and botanical, floral and scrolls, other, however, it is also categorized as floral and botanical, floral and scroll, alternating floral groups. Someone needs to pick one and stick with it. This pattern depicts a hospital ... morealong a lake or river's edge flanked by two trees with a sailboat in the water. Thomas Shepherd is original artist who drew this image from which this was copied and transferred to ceramics. The original engraver or plate maker was W. Tombleson in 1827 so this dates between 1827 and 1850. This still dates to the first half of the 19th century.Why buy today's cheap knock offs when you can spend a bit more to preserve, use and pass on these antique pieces? There are five assorted chips/flakes/chiggers around the flared lip of the base. The interior is lightly stained along with the exterior bottom. Schumann Old Meissen sugar bowl/Blue onion/blue stamp//Barvaria/white-no reserve
This beautiful.Antique sugar bowl was made by Schumann in Barvaria Germany, between 1918-1929, yet the blue under glaze stamp dates to the first half of the century as it has the early flat crown lion shield mark in lieu of the domed crowns seen in the later 1920's. It is in excellent condition for its age. No crazing, chips or cracks. It has normal wear on the bottom. the colors are still bright and vibrant. it is very ornate with blue flowers throughout the pattern, and of course the blue onion bulbs. The lid has a bulb shape handle with deep blue lines out lining it. The top of the bowl is a scalloped design. I looked for weeks trying to find this sugar bowl, or the creamer and had no luck, so it must be rare. The measurements are 3 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches deep by 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The sugar bowl has a chip on the outer rim near the handle and has several brown specks. Lines, etc. The pitcher has tanned and has 3 chips on the rim and a chip on the foot. There are are tan spots on the rim where the porcelain wore off? Antique iridescent creamer and sugar bowl, pale blue and white textured designs
Offered for your consideration is this very unusual porcelain lidded sugar bowl and cream pitcher featuring a pale iridescent blue backround with raised textured white designs. Although unmarked I have seen this pattern listed as Altenburg Saxony Austria Germany which I am not sure is a company or a region or both. The sides of boht pieces have the iridescent pale blue background rand raised white textured figures which appear to be children at play. The four scenes on the four sides are all different. The rims have gold floral designs and there the handles and lid finial are white iridescent lusterware. As I said. Very unusual but also very attractive and compelling. The sugar bowl is 6" wide including the handles. The bowl is 4½" in diameter and it stands about 4¼" tall including the lid. The cream pitcher is 5" ... morewide from tip of spout to handle, 3½" in diameter and is 2¾" in tall. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and no crazing and the raised white textured designs or intact. Because of the design it is hard to tell if there is wear or fading but I am inclined to believe this is near mint and probably displayed only. This sugar pot came from an auction in Vermont. The lid is missing. There is crackling in the glaze. Mostly on the bottom. The two handles have chips on the undersides that can be seen from the top a little. There is some chipping on the rim that holds the lid and some discoloration. There is a crack line inside the top of one handle but seems very secure and does not go through to the underside of the handle, see the last picture.

This is a large and handsome sugar bowl in very good condition. Complete with original lid. The typical light blue and white of Staffordshire patterns of the mid-nineteenth century, it would make an excellent addition to any collection of mid-nineteenth-century Staffordshire Blue, as well as to any collection of sugar bowls. The piece measures 7-3/8" tall from its base to the tip of its lid knob. 5-1/4" from its base to the top of the body of the sugar bowl without the lid, 5-3/4" from the outer edge of one handle to the outer edge of the other, and 5-1/2" at the widest point of its body. Its round base is 4-3/8" in diameter. The border is composed of ring of interlocking ovals. The center pattern is of nomad tents in the foreground in the shade of two tall trees at left. Antique Blue and White Transferware Sugar Bowl with Lid J. Ridgway mid 1840s
This is a lovely blue and white transferware sugar bowl in excellent condition. There is a mark on the bottom. And I believe it says J. Ridgway. There are numbers as well, but I'm not sure if they're a registration number, or the year(1839) In any event, this piece was most likely made in the mid 1840s. There is a small bit of age-related staining on the bottom. There is some age-related crazing. The top of the lid has one little spot. There is some roughness on the edges of the lid and the bottom of the base. On one corner above one handle. There appears to be a patch that missed the glaze, or perhaps it's an excellent repair(see photo) There is a bit of roughness on the edges of the handles. This piece stands approx. 5 3/4 inches high. With lid, and is approx 7 1/4 inches wide, handle to handle.

This sugar bowl caught my eye at a local estate sale. Wished it was marked. Only with some numbers. 5149 and a golden 20. Irridescent colors, cobalt blue and pink and rich goldtrim. What did catch me eye, was the bird on each side. Very delicate handles and lid also. Just noticed one chip on top of right handle. With lid on 5 inch tall and also 5 inch from handle to handle.

This auction is for a delicate Vintage Blue& White fine bone china Creamer& Sugar Bowl Set. One is marked Made In England. Possibly Staffordshire) the creamer bears the mark 2524 in gold on the bottom. The items are in the traditional blue& white floral pattern, with gold trimmed stems. The items have the crackly look from age. There are no chips on the items, and they are still brilliant blue. The creamer measures 2 3/4' deep, 4 3/4' wide including the handle. The sugar bowl measures 3' x 3' across, and is 2 3/4' deep. This is a lovely antique set.
