The sugar bowl& creamer are both signed, the name appears to possibly read C. Tappi. The sugar bowl is marked on the bottom with the underglaze green Ginori mark, the orange crown Ginori Italy mark, the hand painted in blue mark, the number 220 which is probably the pattern number. The creamer is marked as well(see photos) I believe this should date them to the 1800's. The sugar bowl measures approximately 6 inches(end of handle to handle) by 4 3/4 inches wide, 4 inches tall(to top of handle on the lid) The creamer measures approximately 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches wide, 3 inches tall. I first want to explain that in the United States from the 1870s up until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. You had amateur painters. Professional painters, professional porcelain decorating and painting studios and some American poreclain potteries had their own decorating ... moredepartments. One crucial piece of knowledege you kneed to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and it was its own state from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive then our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Both creamer and sugar dish are marked on the bottom in green with Hand Painted which is surrounded by a very detailed scrolling design. There is also a number on the bottoms of CY916 and an impression which is the mold marking of an underlined 1003. A 4 underneath that on the sugar dish and a 5 underneath the mold mark on the creamer. The sugar dish measures 3.75 inches tall with the lid on and is 4 inches diameter at it's widest point not including the handles. Up for auction is this beautiful ceramic/porcelain creamer pitcher and sugar bowl. They are unusual in their shape and have finely painted detail accenting. There is no marking on the bottom. They have the look of Austria pieces and came from an estate with several other ceramic pieces that were from Austria. These are very beautiful, fine porcelain pieces with gold gilt trim. Sugar Bowl: 4 1/4" length by 3" width(base measurement) by 3 3/4" tall. Creamer: 3 1/2" by 3 3/4" base diameter by 4 1/2" tall(highest point) The only defect is a small gold spot of paint on the creamer pitcher front(by the spout) This obviously happened during the making of the item. This set is from the 1820's and has an exquisite hand painted dutch scene of boats and windmills. It has great form and is so unique! The lid to the sugar does have a few minor fleabites on the bottom. You can't see them at all unless you turn the lid over. It also has a repair on one of the handles. please see photos) The creamer has a chip on the bottom. You can barely see it when it is sitting on a surface. The only marking in the clay body is an 8. There is a handwritten note attached to the bottom of the sugar that reads: This was great grandma Gilbert's. 150 yr old 1970. Antique Gilded Hand Painted Creamer And Sugar (Sugar has damage so cheap)
Antique hand painted creamer and sugar have beautiful gilding. The gilding is beautiful. There are no makers marks on the bottom but the set looks high quality. Unfortunately there are 2 small chips. One on the edge of the creamer lip. I never noticed it until I was taking pictures as it fits in with the fancy edge of the creamer so not noticeable at all. The sugar has a small chip underneath where the lid sits so you cannot see it until you pull off the lid. The bottom of the sugar bowl has a hole. So have priced this set low accordingly. Circa Late 1800s to Early 1900s. I first want to explain that in the United States from the Mid 1870s until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. Besides the amateur painters you also had professional painters. Professional porcelain decorating studios and some American ... moreporeclain potteries had their own decorating departments. One crucial piece of knowledege you need to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and Bavaria was its own kingdom from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive to buy than our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. There are no markings or stickers on the bottom of one set while the other does retain the Enesco sticker and has the mark E2351 on each piece. They both are hand painted with fruit decorations. They both stand about 3" in height. The sugar one one set does have a minor clake on the apple and has a West Bend. IA sticker on the front. The creamer has two minor flakes, one on the bananas and one to the right of the plums. The other set is missing the lid on the sugar but the set is in excellent condition. Antique(circa 1906) Thomas Porcelain sugar and creamer set. This fine translucent porcelain has been hand painted with a pale blue and pale yellow background. With lovely pink flowers and green and brown leaves. Gold trim on handles, rims, and knob. The sugar measures 3" tall to top of knob. It has a top diameter of 3 1/2" not including the handles. The creamer measures 3 1/8" tall. It has a top diameter of 2 1/4" not including the spout and handle. No chips, cracks, or crazing, only very minimal gold loss. Beautiful!

Vintage Miniature Creamer and Sugar Set Hand Painted with Gold Trim
This vintage set of creamer and sugar bowl has been kept in a china cabinet for years. I have had no success in finding the manufacturer of these pieces as there are no markings on them. However. In comparing the style and paint used, I have narrowed the age down to 1890's-1930"s. The floral pattern is beautiful. With blues, pinks, and purple, with hand painted gold trim. The creamer measures 3" tall x 2 3/4" wide at the base. The sugar measures 2 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide. There is a small hairline crack on the lid of the creamer. There is staining on both pieces, mainly around the curved edge of the sugar and inside both pieces. I suspect this piece is over 100 years old. The creamer has small chips in the blue paint around the top lip.and it appears as though all of the blue paint on the creamer had already worn ... moreoff, leaving a bluish hue around the top. It is a super cute set when you see it in person. Lots of color and personality.
