Early Vienna Austria/Pickard China Hand Ptd. Footed Creamer & Open Sugar ca.1910

Beautiful gold trimmed antique footed creamer and open sugar bowl were made by Vienna Austria porcelain and hand decorated by Pickard China Company. The Vienna mark dates the piece to between 1890-1908. But the red circular Pickard mark is from about 1912. Pickard was known for its beautifully hand-painted porcelain and china, and this set is no exception. Realistic leaves and grapes decorate the front of each piece, with gentle embossing that flows from the scalloped top edge. The back of each piece is very simply decorated, with dark berries set against the dark maroon base color. The grape pattern continues inside, ... moreas seen in picture 2. Gilded edges, another Pickard characteristic, rim each piece, as well as the handle on the creamer and each foot. Both pieces have the Vienna Austria green backstamp on the bottom, and the sugar also holds the red circular W.A. Pickard Hand Painted mark. The creamer measures 5.25" long, from the gracefully curved and curled handle to the spout, and 3" high at the spout. The sugar is 5.75" long and also 3" high. The sugar bowl is 5" wide from the back of one handle to the back of the other and is 3" tall to the top of the cover. This pretty little 2 handled. Footed bowl may be a sugar bowl. There are no markings, I can see where there may have been a label on the bottom but it's gone. It has a mother of pearl glaze, is trimmed with gold around the base, rim and on the handles. It believe it's hand painted and has a textured dimension to the outside, like a geodesic dome. This beautiful hand painted footed sugar bowl is unmarked but it did have a matching creamer that was marked MZ Austria unfortunately my mother-in-law broke it and threw away the pieces. So other than my telling you I have no way to substantiate my claim. The detail of the painted flowers. The pure white of the porcelain, the shape and color of the gold work all point to a quality piece. Antique Soft Paste Luster Footed Painted Sugar Bowl, American?
The auction house from which I acquired this described it as an“Early American Sugar Bowl. The painting on it is more naive than most British pink luster one sees. So maybe the description is true. Either way, it’s a lovely thing. Stands about 7 inches tall, 7 3/4 wide and 5 1/2 deep. Unmarked. CONDITION: Bowl has a fair amount of discoloration. As can be seen in the photos. A lesser amount of crazing. No cracks or repairs. There is a small chip on one of the handles that can be seen in Photos 6, 7, 8, and 9. That is the only chip. Still a very lovely piece of ceramics. Royal Austria. Which is printed in green with the word'Royal' inside the wreath, the initials'O. E.G. above the wreath and'Austria' below. This hallmark was used by Oscar and Edgar Gutherz of Altrolau, Bohemia(now Stara Role, Czech Republic) from 1899 to 1918. Vintage Meissen Blue Onion shell, footed dish for sweets or diced sugar
Meissen Blue Onion Footed Shell Dish This is a vintage Meissen dish shaped as a shell. It has Blue Onion decor and measures about 4.5 inches. The dish is in very good condition. It’s been kept in a vitrine cabinet ever since my parents bought it back in the fifties so it’s never been used. Buyer must note that the Meissen Crossed Swords mark has three cancellation marks/ schleifstrichen. This is considered in the price. I’m no expert but I can’t see any flaws, signs of wear, cracks or chips. The unglazed edge underneath each of the three feet has some spots. See the pictures for visual details. TRANSFERWARE SUGAR BOWL1848 BlueTransfer Footed Ironstone 7.5" Vintage Victorian
This is a wonderful piece of blue transferware. Which dates back to about 1848 from the registry mark research. It measures about 7.5" tall and about 6.5" across from handle to handle. It does have typical crazing and a couple chips. One on the underside of the finial, one on the outside of the base rim, as well as two smaller ones around the same location. There is a hairline crack on the finial. Some staining at the chips and lid. Needs washing. This great piece presents. Well and would look great on display, in a collection, or for use.
