Beautiful gold trimmed antique footed creamer and open sugar bowl were made by Vienna Austria porcelain and hand decorated by Pickard China Company. The Vienna mark dates the piece to between 1890-1908. But the red circular Pickard mark is from about 1912. Pickard was known for its beautifully hand-painted porcelain and china, and this set is no exception. Realistic leaves and grapes decorate the front of each piece, with gentle embossing that flows from the scalloped top edge. The back of each piece is very simply decorated, with dark berries set against the dark maroon base color. The grape pattern continues inside, ... moreas seen in picture 2. Gilded edges, another Pickard characteristic, rim each piece, as well as the handle on the creamer and each foot. Both pieces have the Vienna Austria green backstamp on the bottom, and the sugar also holds the red circular W.A. Pickard Hand Painted mark. Antique Creamer, Hand Painted Pink & Red Roses & Gold, Footed
This beautiful antique creamer features hand painted pink and red roses with green leaves. And it has three feet. The creamer is embellished with gold on the rim, spout and handle. It has no identification mark; however, I believe that it is an unmarked Nippon or early 20th Century Japan. The creamer is 2 3/4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide. It is in good condition with some wear of the gold on the handle, but it has no chips, cracks, or stains. There is no reserve price, so place a bid to win this lovely antique creamer or buy-it-now! Hand Painted Creamer marked Nippon with the Maple Leaf logo. Stated hand painted. According to the International Nippon Collectors Club website. This mark dates to 1891. That doesn't preclude its use into the early 20th century, but whatever its actual date, the creamer is genuinely antique. This creamer is footed. And bears a rose and rosebud motif which is continued along the top edge with a trailing leaf on the back. The pink& white flowers and green leaves are outlined in raised gold. I believe this is an example of the technique of decoration known as moriage. There is additional gilding around the base, top& handle. There is wear to the gold, especially on the handle, and to a lesser extent at the edge of the spout and on the feet. Aside from that, the decoration is exceptional. Approx. 3-1/4" X 2-3/4" across top opening, approx. 2" from foot to foot, approx. 2-1/2" depth. There are some signs of age/use/wear. No chips or cracks. Some color/enamel fade/loss in areas. Gorgeous Antique Floral Porcelain Creamer. This is a hand painted piece with gold accent. It is a three footeed creamer that stands approx. 3.75" tall x 5.5" handle edge to spout. There is an area that is best seen when looking inside the creamer that is a teardrop shaped crack. It can lightly be seen from the outside but can be seen easily from the inside of the creamer. It is intact and doesn't look like it was repaired. I see no other cracks. Chips, breaks or craziing. Nice vibrant pinks, and peaches coloring. Please expect normal wear from age, use and storage.
