Both pieces are painted in a deep maroon color ... moreand have beautifully painted pink flowers. Embedded in a circular setting, on top of some sort of hues of a pearl-based color that gives it a uniqueness that is hard to find. The pearl-based color also adorns the outside of the creamer spout. They both have embroidered gold painted rims. Including the sugar bowl top, which shows off its dynamic quality. This set will surely bring joy to any table set for tea or coffee and crumpets. This set dates back to the early 1900's. The dimensions of the creamer are. 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3/4" The dimensions of the sugar bowl are 2 1/2" x 4" x 7/8" The only minor flaws in this set is a small chip of paint under the handle of the top of the sugar bowl and a few very tiny chips of paint on the creamer as you can see from the photos. Gorgeous Hand Painted & Ribbed Fine Porcelain Creamer~ANTIQUE
This petite and delicate hand painted fine porcelain creamer is just stunning—so thin-walled that light penetrates easily. And so delicately painted that it has a flow blue look to it. Has fluted sides, and a fluted shape to the handle. The spout also has lovely lines. Has a decorative medallion on each side at the top, done in high relief. There is a hand painted sailing vessel with a tiny man in the stern on the front, and an equally tiny man in a tiny boat on the other side. The decoration has a decidedly Delft feel, making this piece both charming AND beautiful! Unsure maker or of exact age. But I believe this piece to be from the mid to late 1800s. No damage anywhere that I can see. Except for two tiny chips off of a couple of the feet. See photos. Otherwise pristine! 4" tall x 4" in diameter including the handle. This vintage pear serving piece is gorgeous! The colors of the glaze are so perfect. Including even tiny brown flecks you would see on a real pear! I believe it was used for sugar and I can't tell you the age or manufacturer but I am sure it is old. It's not shiny at all. There is a small spot on one side where it has lost its glaze. There are some hairline marks on the interior but no fissures. It's in very good condition considering its probable age. It measures approximately 3.5" tall and about 2.5" high wide at the base. Antique gorgeous KPM porcelain, creamer and sugar bowl from Berlin, Germany
I am offering this gorgeous antique porcelain creamer and sugar bowl made by German manufacturer. KPM. Both pieces are painted in a deep maroon color and have beautifully painted pink flowers. Embedded in a circular setting, on top of some sort of hues of a pearl-based color that gives it a uniqueness that is hard to find. The pearl-based color also adorns the outside of the creamer spout. They both have embroidered gold painted rims. Including the sugar bowl top, which shows off its dynamic quality. This set will surely bring joy to any table set for tea or coffee and crumpets. This set dates back to the early 1900's. Gorgeous Antique Kutani Creamer and Lidded Sugar Bowl Pre WWI
This lovely set is clearly marked with the Ku tani symbol meaning Nine Valley's. The porcelain is stunning with a raised pattern to it. there is no wear to the gold on the pieces. I do see a small flea bite on the inner rim of the sugar bowl as shown in one of the pictures above, but that is the only flaw I can find. The deep reddish coloring perfectly accents these pieces with fine hand painted gold accents. What a stunning set this would be on a holiday table. Here is a little info on Ku tani. The above pieces are believed to be from the early 1900's. The two characters that make up the word Kutani consist of the character for"nine" Ku and"valley" Since Kutani is a place. Almost all pieces marked Kutani were decorated there even if by any of the many manufacturers or trading shops, rather than just a single factory. ... moreThe first time we hear of porcelain from the Kutani(nine valleys) Village. Was in 1655, in the in the first year of the Myoreki epoch. Japanese ceramic history has it that stones suitable for porcelain making was found in the Kutani mine of the Daishoji Clan, whereupon Lord Maeda Toshiharu sent Goto Saijiro to the Arita Village in the Hizen province to learn how to make porcelain. Kutani Porcelains from this early period are specifically called Ko-Kutani and are extremely rare. The production of this ware continued for about 50-60 years. Around 1800 the Kutani kilns was restored in Kasugayama. Kanazawa City to make utilarian porcelains. After just a few years this kiln was destroyed by fire. Around 1806-1820 Honda Sadakichi built new kilns in Wakasugi with the purpose of reviving the old style. In 1823-1831 Yoshidaya Kilns were built in Daishoji at the site of Ko-Kutani to concentrate on commercial porcelain with printed designs. The production continues until today. What we have here is a gorgeous PB& Wurttemberg China Cream& Sugar Set. I could not get a picture of the bottom to come out nice& clear so I will describe what it states on the bottom. PB& Wurttemberg China with a crown above PB& PB& Wurttemberg all in gold.there is also number 10. There is no nicks chip or repairs. The only crazing is on the bottom of the sugar bowl& only shows when you put a magnifying glass in a bright light. There is slight gold gild loss on the handles wich is normal for this age of china. The pink roses are just gorgeous& would make a great addition to your existing pattern or if you are collecting cream& saucers. Handle, and widest point which I believe to be e lectroplated nickel german silver. Consistent with the Sheffield process invented in 1860. Made in England. ELEGANT LARGE ANTIQUE PORCELAIN COBALT GOLD CREAMER SUGAR SET, GORGEOUS SPOUT
This large and elegant fine quality white. Gold and cobalt porcelain creamer and sugar bowl set is believed to date to the turn of the last century, but that is not confirmed. Though it is reminiscent of early Spode, the maker could not be determined through extensive online research or by replacements.com. In every respect it is gorgeous. From the dramatic design of the creamer's gold and white spout to the pristine white porcelain and striking cobalt handles on both pieces. Their classic shapes would complement any number of high quality porcelain sets, whether traditional or modern, or make a beautiful display on their own or as part of a collection. The creamer is in fantastic condition with no nicks. Chips, cracks, scratches, repairs or crazing, just a tiny embedded dark spot on one side and very slight wear to the gold trim at the ... moretop, visible in the photos. One handle on the sugar bowl has been broken and repaired; this is visible in the photo with the penny. There is a section on the underside of the lid- about an inch long- where the porcelain has separated. And the sugar bowl too has a tiny dark spot imbedded in the side. In all other respects it is in excellent condition. The creamer is 5 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches from the tip of the spout to the far end of the handle. T he number G25 is impressed on the base. The sugar bowl has the handwritten number 4(or possibly it's an H) on the base. It is 7 3/4 inches between the handles. Measured at the widest point, and 4 1/2 inches tall without the lid. With the lid, it's 7 1/2 inches tall. Please check the photos very carefully- that's the best way to fully appreciate the beauty and condition of this lovely set.
