Black on top 1/2 with rose and leaf pattern border that runs between the black and white and ties them together. Then there are alot of gold highlights. Details Description: A beautiful glazed pottery lidded syrup or creamer having an applied handle. This creamer has a round base which flares inwards with straight sides. The sides are ribbed and have a nice look. The piece is decorated a hand colored transfer floral design. That is the outline of the floral design is a transfer which was then hand colored. The delicate floral design is very colorful and has green. Red, brown and yellow. The entire piece has a nice yellow cream coloring with a brown design at the rim and the back of the handle. We have acquired a pretty little VINTAGE PORCELAIN CREAMER WITH PEWTER LID. It has nice orange. Yellow, and pink flowers with green leaves. There are no chips, cracks or crazing on the pitcher. The lid has its patina and it appears that the latch has been bent down. I did not want to attempt to unbend it for fear of more damage. The gold trim shows wear, but still looks pretty. Antique Leuchtenburg Sugar Bowl w/Lid & Creamer Germany 1895 to 1937
Estate Sale Find Up for auction is a sugar bowl and creamer set from Leuchtenburg Germany. There is very little information available on Leuchtenburg. But I did find that they were a manufacturer of porcelain from 1895 to 1937. The set features a sugar bowl with lid and a creamer/milk jug in a pearly white with a floral design of pink and white roses with yellow and green leaves. The feet and the top of the lid are a pale grey-green color. The edges of both pieces are scalloped and there is some white embossing on the lid and on the body of both. There is one minor flaw– on one handle of the sugar bowl. The little top decoration is broken off(you can see this in photo 2) but it feels smooth and is barely noticeable. This aside, the set is in excellent condition for its age and came from a collection of German/Austrian porcelain that had been ... moreextremely well looked after. The MZ Company produced porcelains with lavish floral patterns. They exported their pieces to American and Dutch colonies, and was later purchased by C.M. Hutschenreuther from the Altrohlau Porcelain Factories from 1909 to 1945. The M.Z. Austria trademark was used until 1909. This is from a great auction in upstate N.Y. I bought a box of great china. All different makers& designs. I do not know what is rare and i will not claim that they are. I just know that they are beautiful and i probably paid too much but i just can't help myself! Marked with the Z.S. Co Bavaria on the bottom. It is in very good condition. The creamer measures about 3.25 inches tall and 5.25 inches from tip of the spout to outer edge of the handle. The bowl portion is about 3 inches in diameter. Although they were found together at an estate sale, I am not convinced the lid belongs to this creamer and not a sugar bowl that was not with it! It does not quite fit snugly on the top of the creamer, but definitely was a part of the set. No chips or cracks, it is all in very good vintage condition. Lusterware Sugar Bowl& Creamer Old Roses Leuchtenburg. Germany O ffered for auction: A gorgeous luster porcelain sugar bowl and creamer marked Leuchtenburg(Germany. I believe ca. 1895 to 1935) It is finely decorated with a bouquet of"old roses" in pink, orange, and white, with an embossed rim and foot, highlighted with a green luster(lustre) finish. Both pieces have arched handles with open tops, and the sugar bowl has a lovely lid with an arched finial handle. These two pieces are in very good condition. There is very little wear to the decoration and design; the rose decal is very clear. And the luster is very solid. The only flaw I can find is a hairline on the inside top edge of the right handle on the sugar bowl(only at the top; it's not a break or repair) There are no other chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. ... moreThe creamer measures 3-5/8 inches high and about 3.5 inches wide at the base; the sugar bowl measures 5.75 inches wide across the handles, 3-3/8 inches high at the rim, and almost 5 inches high with the lid on. Each is hand painted with gold leaf wheat sheaf design and the heads of the wheat have a raised design. There are no chips or cracks but there is some crazing. For your consideration is a great old ceramic majolica glaze figural strawberry handled creamer jug. Double handled bumble bee finial lidded sugar jur, and strawberry blossom and leaf underplate. All four pieces are excellent with NO chips crack stains or crazing. Lovely! The bumble bee finial is especially wonderful with its long spider legs and tiny eyes. Not marked so I am unsure of maker, possibly 1940s or 50s Japan. Creamer and sugar each measure about 4 inches while underplate measures 7.5 inches wide. Pitcher measures 4 3/4" tall and sugar bowl measures 5 3/4" tall and 6 3/4" wide including handles. The pieces have no breaks or repairs. The sugar bowl has a chip on the outer rim near the handle and has several brown specks. Lines, etc. The pitcher has tanned and has 3 chips on the rim and a chip on the foot. There are are tan spots on the rim where the porcelain wore off? I've provide several photos so that you can see all of the small flaw details, so please view those closely for an accurate description.
