Beautiful. Intricate, antique porcelain sugar and creamer. Has a beautiful painted cobalt blue or glaze color with gold embellishment. You can see little intricate gold roses and flowers. There are flourishes and scrolls that surround the centerpiece picture of two ladies on both the creamer and sugar. There is wear on the gold of the handles and some wear on the trim. Nippon Creamer & Sugar Bowl Cobalt Blue & Gold Accents Poppies Violets NICE
Up for bid is this lovely cream and sugar set. I would guess these were never used because of their condition. Probably sit inside a display cabinet for most of their lives. The design is a familiar one in Nippon with the multicolored poppy flowers along with shades of green leaves. Directly above before getting to the cobalt are areas of solid gold design. Below is a row of lavender and white violets. Below the violets are a series of several gold hand painted dots. Below this area are partial poppy flowers and then the cobalt. The cobalt on all three pieces is the dark blue. With hand painted scroll upon it. The rims have a band of gold on them. The handles have a partial cobalt covering and the handles have a gold ornate design all of them. The finial also has the cobalt with gold, and the finial has a circular curved design to it. This ... moreset is unmarked. A full sized set that measures in at almost 5 inches at the widest including the handle for the creamer by a bit more than 3 1/2 inches at the tallest. The sugar at 6 1/4 inches at the widest by 4 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial. Upon examination, I cannot find any chips, cracks or repairs.for that matter the gold is still in very nice condition. Offered today at a value far less than its worth.

I really can't find anything about this creamer. Victorian style 4 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" wide. Has gold trim around inside of mouth of creamer and gold band around upper top with one blue and one red strip under it with 6 cobalt blue leave tips outlined in gold. Has stripes on bottom one blue and one red. Gold stripes down handle. Only see one fracture on mouth of creamer. Still usuable and very decorative for a shelf sitter. Established local business since 1972. DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful earthenware soft paste sugar bowl and lid in THE ROYAL HOSPITAL OF ST. KATHERINE IN REGENT'S PARK image. It measures about 7" long from flower-embossed-scroll-handle to flower-embossed-scroll-handle. Is 4 3/8" wide at the extended edge of the shoulder, is 4 3/4" tall to the flared neck at the ends and stands about 6" tall to the lid's finial when set on the base. It is the correct lid for the base. The pattern is categorized as a British themed place. I have seen the same exact border on two different pieces categorized as floral and botanical, floral and scrolls, other, however, it is also categorized as floral and botanical, floral and scroll, alternating floral groups. Someone needs to pick one and stick with it. This pattern depicts a hospital ... morealong a lake or river's edge flanked by two trees with a sailboat in the water. Thomas Shepherd is original artist who drew this image from which this was copied and transferred to ceramics. The original engraver or plate maker was W. Tombleson in 1827 so this dates between 1827 and 1850. This still dates to the first half of the 19th century.Why buy today's cheap knock offs when you can spend a bit more to preserve, use and pass on these antique pieces? There are five assorted chips/flakes/chiggers around the flared lip of the base. The interior is lightly stained along with the exterior bottom. Antique Imari Gaudy Creamer Cream Pitcher Cobalt Blue Snake Handle Porcelain
For sale is an antique Gaudy Welsh or Imari porcelain pitcher with a snake handle. Floral design in cobalt blue. Rust and orangy red on a white background with gold embellishments here and there throughout the pattern. No makers mark but there is a number painted on the base. Measures ~4" in height and 3 1/2" wide from spout to handle. Excellent condition for the age but there glaze crazing and a tiny paint/ finish rub to the edge of the spout but not chipped. A man with walking stick and a woman with bib apron, there are stenciled trees done in a black as well as the ground The bowl has two handles and a nice finiel top No mark. Bottom is unglazed and Condition. Aged patina, crazing, some glaze loss along edges of top and on handles, small chips on lid and on base This is a very rare one of a kind piece c late 18th century to early 19th century Measures 5-5/8 inches across x 2-3/4" tall Found in Baldwin County AL where noted for early Scottish settlers

This sugar bowl caught my eye at a local estate sale. Wished it was marked. Only with some numbers. 5149 and a golden 20. Irridescent colors, cobalt blue and pink and rich goldtrim. What did catch me eye, was the bird on each side. Very delicate handles and lid also. Just noticed one chip on top of right handle. With lid on 5 inch tall and also 5 inch from handle to handle.

It's hand painted with a cobalt design and the recessed portions of the embossed pattern are light blue. It's 4.5" at it's tallest and 3.25" at its widest. It's in nice condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks, just some aging discoloration to the white glaze. I purchased this at an estate auction with many pieces of 19th century or older pottery dishes. They all had the previous owner's etched initial"M" or"W" on the bottom like this one.
