Up for auction is a lovely antique copper lustre creamer from a local estate. Made in the Staffordshire district. England, in the 1800s. The use of a copper compound in the glaze resulted in a metallic, copperlike surface. Decorated with two cobalt blue bands with a floral design. This piece really shines! The inside has a finished glaze, so the creamer can be used. I love the fluted handle. Bottom is unmarked. Measures 4" tall. Both pieces have a beautiful purple lustre splashed finish around a handpainted picture of a horse drawn carriage with an elegant lady and gentlemen possibly from the Victorian era.
