Up for auction is an Antique R. Delinieres(and P. Guery) and Company(D& Co. of the La Taupiniere Porcelain Factory on Rue Albert Thomas. Limoges France(1860 to 1900) Hand Painted Open Sugar Bowl and Hand Painted Creamer(Cream Pitcher) Set with a Floral Pattern Consisting of Alternating Pink Roses& Purple Violets Sharing the same Stem and Leaf Pattern over a Gloss White Glaze Application Attributed to being Decorated in Limoges, France in"Excellent Plus" to"Near-Mint Condition" Used, Circa 1894 to 1900. I first want to explain that in the United States from the 1870s up until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. You had amateur painters. Professional painters, professional porcelain decorating and painting studios and some American poreclain potteries had their own decorating ... moredepartments. One crucial piece of knowledege you kneed to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and it was its own state from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive then our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Therefore we have an abundance of antique hand painted porcelain by Americans on blanks marked from another country. There is a tiny surface chip on the underside of the lid which you cannot see unless you pick it up and turn it over. Also on the sugarbowl, there is a factory mark. Not sure what it is, but to me it looks like someone pushed the glaze just a little before it was fired. Or perhaps the pair are a sauce boat and sectioned condiment dish. Actually. I think condiment dish might be the best guess as the dish has narrowed points with each section-perfect for securing a little serving spoon. The creamer/ sauce boat is 4.25" at its widest and 2.5" tall. The divided dish is 5.5" at its longest and 2.75" tall. Both are decorated with hand painted flowers and a leaf pattern inside the dishes. They are unmarked and in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. I purchased them at an estate auction and am uncertain of their age but believe them to be many decades old. This beautiful antique set has beautiful hand-painted water lilies and gold decoration on a pale luster background. The mold for this porcelain set. Was very decorative and dainty, with lace and beading decoration in the mold. The luster around the base is a light green. Please see item description for full item details. They do not have a factory or country mark on the bottom other than what you see in the photos here. I am not an expert in these things and this is only the information I have read online while doing research. Considering this set was most likely made over one hundred years ago. It is beautifully hand-painted with flowers and gold leaf and is in excellent condition with the exception of some minor rubs on the gold leaf. No Chips. Cracks or grazing. This petite and delicate hand painted fine porcelain creamer is just stunning—so thin-walled that light penetrates easily. And so delicately painted that it has a flow blue look to it. Has fluted sides, and a fluted shape to the handle. The spout also has lovely lines. Has a decorative medallion on each side at the top, done in high relief. There is a hand painted sailing vessel with a tiny man in the stern on the front, and an equally tiny man in a tiny boat on the other side. This is a vintage creamer pitcher which is hand painted. It is a cream background with yellow. Lavender& pink tulips with green leaves. It is marked on the bottom in green MHK. There are 6 tulips, 3 on each side and each is a different color. It is very pretty and perfect for Spring. It would look great on display or for use. This is an old creamer and it was used. There are spots at the edge of the base. On handle and the tip where you pour from that have the glaze chipped away, however, that is not so noticable due to color. Very Dainty Embossed Thin Porcelain Creamer With Hand Painted Violets
Dainty eggshell thin white antique porcelain creamer. It is a molded type porcelain. It has embossed scrolls and flourishes in spots. Lie on the spout for example. The rounded bottom part of the pitcher has a swirled and ridged look. Very sweet little pitcher. It does have some gold loss on the handle and rim. There is something imprinted into the bottom of it, I think a number, but I can't make it out. The very bottom also seems not to be glazed. There are no chips or cracks. THESE WOULD BE THE PERFECT ADDITION TO YOUR SPRING DECORATING! Selling together. We are offering a pair of pre-World War II Noritake china pieces, a sugar bowl and creamer made in Japan by the Morimura Brothers. The green"M" in the wreath stamped on the bottom of both items(photo# above) indicates a production date between 1920- 1940. The shapes of both hand-painted pieces are unusual. They are lower. Rounder and more graceful than the usual Noritake sugar and creamers I have seen. They also have solid brown painted on the tops of their handles. Additionally, the orange-brown autumn sunset coloring has an unique band of blue, representing a shoreline, that wraps completely around each piece. This eye-catching ceramic creamer is about 5" tall and 3.5" x 3.5" at its widest points. It's quite light weight. At about a half-pound. The underwater motif includes a hand-painted fish, starfish, and some air bubbles. The bottom is marked"Colonial Mold# 22. Unfortunately, no further information about this marking could be readily found. The creamer contains a bit of crazing. There are no chips or cracks.
