Antique German Porcelain Luster Creamer Gold Trim. Purple& Brown Lustre O ffered for auction: A very pretty antique porcelain creamer with a richly colored luster(lustre) decoration in brown and purple. With gold trim and a brightly colored floral design on the front. Th e creamer is richly decorated with embossed swirls and beads. Highlighted by the luster finish. This piece measures 3.25 inches high near the end of the spout and 4-7/8 inches long from spout tip to handle end. It is in very good to excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. Surprisingly no crazing.And only a little bit of wear to the gold trim around the spout edge. The piece is clearly marked on the bottom with a green logo that reads" Germany/ W. I have not been able to identify the maker. I believe this pieces dates to ca. 1900-1920. Antique Leuchtenburg Sugar Bowl w/Lid & Creamer Germany 1895 to 1937
Estate Sale Find Up for auction is a sugar bowl and creamer set from Leuchtenburg Germany. There is very little information available on Leuchtenburg. But I did find that they were a manufacturer of porcelain from 1895 to 1937. The set features a sugar bowl with lid and a creamer/milk jug in a pearly white with a floral design of pink and white roses with yellow and green leaves. The feet and the top of the lid are a pale grey-green color. The edges of both pieces are scalloped and there is some white embossing on the lid and on the body of both. There is one minor flaw– on one handle of the sugar bowl. The little top decoration is broken off(you can see this in photo 2) but it feels smooth and is barely noticeable. This aside, the set is in excellent condition for its age and came from a collection of German/Austrian porcelain that had been ... moreextremely well looked after. This stamp is a New York based import stamp. This import company held a contract with P M from around 1910– 1938. So basically this is P M Bavaria porcelain that was distributed by L.D.B. Co. They are pictured outside- he is a formal long tailed outfit with knickers and she in her long dress is seated on a bench. The rest of the vase has beautiful bunches, and some singles, of blue, pink, orange, purple flowers; accented with green leaves. It has gold accents on the handle, the edge of the spout and on different sections of the creamer highlighting the green coloring on various sections of the creamer. The sugar bowl has 2 different scences in which the couple is shown. One is standing in front of a body of water with a bridge and the other one she is seated and he is standing. There is some loss/worn of gold trim color on certain small sections of each piece. ... moreOn the bottom of the each rim there are a few tiny rough spots to the touch. They both have the older crown, crossed lines and a large R and C in dark green on either side with SANSSOUCI stamped underneath. It is numbered by hand, 2321-15, and has the word Germany stamped in Red on the bottom of each piece. The symbols on the bottom of the sugar bowl clear and are a little worn off on the bottom of the creamer. The bowl is about 4 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide on the bottom. The creamer is about 5 1/4" at the highest point of the handle and is 2 1/2" wide on the bottom. Beautiful, classy and old this would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. Lusterware Sugar Bowl& Creamer Old Roses Leuchtenburg. Germany O ffered for auction: A gorgeous luster porcelain sugar bowl and creamer marked Leuchtenburg(Germany. I believe ca. 1895 to 1935) It is finely decorated with a bouquet of"old roses" in pink, orange, and white, with an embossed rim and foot, highlighted with a green luster(lustre) finish. Both pieces have arched handles with open tops, and the sugar bowl has a lovely lid with an arched finial handle. These two pieces are in very good condition. There is very little wear to the decoration and design; the rose decal is very clear. And the luster is very solid. The only flaw I can find is a hairline on the inside top edge of the right handle on the sugar bowl(only at the top; it's not a break or repair) There are no other chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. ... moreThe creamer measures 3-5/8 inches high and about 3.5 inches wide at the base; the sugar bowl measures 5.75 inches wide across the handles, 3-3/8 inches high at the rim, and almost 5 inches high with the lid on. The soft stencil pattern is of three pieces of fruit—peaches. I think—on one side, and one on the other side) amid leaves. Their stems and a bit of branch are hand painted in gold. It has an ornate handle and embossed pattern around the rim. It measures about 3.5” tall at the spout. There is a barely visible hairline crack on the inside of the rim that extends about ½”I only found it by careful examination with a jeweler’s loupe. They have Pristine Gold Gilding on the handles and the rims. This came from a collection of other Blue pieces that were painted by M. Boyer-these are not signed but might be by this artist. We acquired a full Collection of Antique Teacups and Accessories just recently from an estate. Many of the pieces were"Blanks" by"Favorite Bavaria" A producer of fine European Porcelain- Circa late 1800's to early 1900's. Blanks were sold to Professional Decorating factories in the U. S. RS Germany Creamer and Sugar by Reinhold Schlegelmilch at Tillowitz w/Roses
This is a finely decorated creamer and sugar set from the porcelain works of Reinhold Schlegelmilch. They were made in the town of Tillowitz in the Silesia District of Germany. Now the Opole Region of Poland. The"R S Germany" mark seen here is considered part of the larger"R S Prussia" group of marks. This form was probably introduced between 1910 and 1914 and was used until about 1945. From the style of these pieces, it is most likely that they were most probably designed and produced during the 1920's. The decoration is stunning as are so many Schlegelmilch pieces of this period. Each piece measures about 4 by 3(not including the handles) and stands about 2 inches high. The beautiful detailed roses with gilt edges are in excellent condition with no damage or handling wear.
