The handles all feature a dark white that turns into pure white. I am not sure if this is how it was made or if it is from use. With a white beaded moriage over teal green band around the upper middle and gold woodgrain tracery above. The body is a glossy white porcelain with gilding trim. Marked"Hand Painted-Made in Japan" in green lettering around double diamond shapes with a capital T in the center of each diamond. Made by the Takito Company. Which operated from 1880 to 1948. This particular Takito mark was used from 1922 to 1944, but judging from the shape, this set was made in the earlier part of this range. The teapot is 4.5" tall to the top of the lid finial and 7" from spout to handle. The sugar dish is 3.75" tall to the tip of the cover and 6" from handle to handle. The Cream Pitcher is 3" tall to the tip of its handle. This elegant old tea service has no chips or cracks. Except for a small faint star hairline under the base of the teapot which is not visible from inside(see 2nd photo, just to the right of the mark) On close inspection, some minor manufacturing blips can be seen: a few tiny glaze pops(pinhole-sized pits in the glaze) and a few black dots. Also, the underside edge of the teapot and the interior bottom of the sugar bowl have several grainy, sandy bits that were glazed over during firing of the original porcelain(not visible during normal use) The teapot lid is a little loose and poorly seated, though it was clearly made for this set. The floral design is intact and unfaded on all the pieces, as is the moriage beading. The gilding is also good, with very little rubbing. This is a beautiful and hard-to-find vintage Japanese serving set for display or use! I've seen matching cups. Saucers, bowls and plates offered under the Takito and TT names several times over the years, but rarely all 3 serving pieces toge

My great grandmother had this cream pitcher back in the 1950s. My grandmother told me that this piece dated from the 1880s. I am not an expert on pieces like this so I honestly don't know. The cream pitcher was manufactured by Shorthose and Heath of England and it is in the Farmer& Cow pattern. The cream pitcher stands approximately 6 1/8" tall and it has polychrome decoration. Item Condition: The overall condition of the cream pitcher is very good. It is very clean with minor discoloration inside. And there are no chips or cracks, but the handle has been completely restored. The base rim has a few small flakes and the piece is not marked. The set is in pristine condition and is heavily gilded. It was made by the Henley China Co for a store called Hawkins in Healy on Thames. Collection of 3 Ceramic Cream Pitchers These pitchers were from a collection of pitchers that my mother or grandmother had. Some were passed down to them. I am not sure how old they are or who the manufactures were. All I know is that I am 63 and my grandmother passed away in 1993 and was 90 years old. My mother passed in 2012 and was 88 years. The creamer is made of earthenware and it is hand-decorated in the Amish Snowflake pattern which consists of a deep cobalt flow blue color with snowflakes and a herringbone style border. Antique Imari Gaudy Creamer Cream Pitcher Cobalt Blue Snake Handle Porcelain
For sale is an antique Gaudy Welsh or Imari porcelain pitcher with a snake handle. Floral design in cobalt blue. Rust and orangy red on a white background with gold embellishments here and there throughout the pattern. No makers mark but there is a number painted on the base. Measures ~4" in height and 3 1/2" wide from spout to handle. Excellent condition for the age but there glaze crazing and a tiny paint/ finish rub to the edge of the spout but not chipped. Antique Porcelain 5" Cream Pitcher; 2 ladies in pink & sponged gold finish.
Description: this is a precious pitcher. It is a reticulated round body narrowing at the neck and with a scalloped rim. The front side features a lovely transfer print of two young Victorian ladies. Complete with up-dos, at a garden table; one is seated and costumed in mauve and the other is standing in pink ruffles and showing her matching stockings. They are intrigued by a little tortoise who has joined the party- lower left. The print exhibits a great deal of detail. This threesome is enhanced with sponged gold applied above and below. Molded bows adorn four regular insets around the top. The reverse of the pitcher shows a stylized star-flower in gold. The handle is gold finished, as is the rim. There are no apparent markings, Size: 4 1/2" spout to bow of handle x 2 2/8" top diameter; 3 1/2" diameter at widest part of body. ... moreAnd 5" height. Condition: I find no cracks. Hairlines or chips. The interior is clean with one or two water marks and a couple of fabrication pits- they appear as tiny dots. Nothing in essence which detracts. The gilded handle shows signs of wear from rubbing and has, I think, been supplemented with one gold paint which could either stay or be removed. I don't know if this is also true of the rim. The creamer is marked Germany. The sugar bowl has an impressed mark– looks like a number one or arrow. I first thought the front design was a sword and crescent moon. But believe it is actually a sword and shield. The sugar bowl with lid measures 3 ¾” tall and the creamer is 3 ¼” tall. Beautiful matched set and unusual design. No chips. I do not know if this is gilt or paint. there is a mark on the bottom but. I can not make it out. Sugar is about 5.5" Tall including the lid and 6 1/4" wide including ears Sugar is about 3" tall as 5" wide including ears and spout. I do not see any chips around the rims or lid. Seven Antique Cream Pitchers: 5 Lusterware, 1 Hand Painted Nippon, 1 Eisenberg
Presented here is a grouping of 7 small cream pitchers. They are all in excellent condition with the possible exception of the next to largest which has a tiny rough spot on the spout. The smallest lusterware pitcher has age crackles. 1. The tallest pitcher-4 1/2 inches in height. Bottom diameter 2 inches. The mark has the crossed arrows with 6871 P. That would be the Kalk Porcelain Factory, Eisenberg in E. Germany. See the photos. 2. Next in height-unmarked. Trimmed and decorated with luster. Three inches height, 4 inches from outer part of spout to outer part of handle. Tiny roughness on right side of spout. 3. Smallest pitcher-2 inches tall. 1 1/2 inch from end of spout to end of handle. I think the mark says SANDLAND WARE, L& S LTD. England. I believe this to be the oldest pitcher both from the fine crackling and the mark. It is also ... moreone of the finest. 4. Ye Olde Jug Inn"2 1/4 inches tall. 2 1/2 inches from outer spout to end of handle. This is a beautifully crafted little pitcher with lusterware in droplet form. The old Jug Inn is pictured with the words"Ye Olde Jug Inn" The mark is Old Castle in England. 5. Copper trim lusterware with hand painted berries and leaves-2 1/4 inches tall. 2 3/4 inches from outer spout to outer handle. The mark is Gray Pottery, Stoke, England. This is really pretty. 6. Copper luster with gravely body-2 1/4 inches tall. Outer spout to widest part of handle, about 2 5/8 inches. There is no mark but this is a true copper lusterware pitcher. Although it is roughly textured in the body, it conveys elegance. 7. Nippon. Hand Paint-Height at tallest part is 3 inches and from outer spout to outer handle is 3 1/2 inches. Antique circa 1900 Zeh Scherzer Z S& Co BAVARIA Cream& Sugar Lusterware Bird Design Marks on bottom of both pieces date them to between 1880 and 1918. Green Z.S.Co with wavy line and Bavaria. Some loss to the gold trim. Some manufacturing defects as expected with the period. One such manufacturing defect on the creamer is larger. But is entirely under the glaze.
