The sugar bowl& creamer are both signed, the name appears to possibly read C. Tappi. The sugar bowl is marked on the bottom with the underglaze green Ginori mark, the orange crown Ginori Italy mark, the hand painted in blue mark, the number 220 which is probably the pattern number. The creamer is marked as well(see photos) I believe this should date them to the 1800's. The sugar bowl measures approximately 6 inches(end of handle to handle) by 4 3/4 inches wide, 4 inches tall(to top of handle on the lid) The creamer measures approximately 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches wide, 3 inches tall. The sugar bowl& creamer are both in good condition for their old age; no chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs. There is some light scratching, wear to the gilding. I have examined the sugar bowl, lid, creamer by black light. There have been some offers& quite a bit of interest in these two items, so I have decided to offer them together this time around. They have been hand painted and the sugar bowl is signed(H.L.17) This was most likely made somewhere between 1914 and 1918. The pieces have a hand painted delicate pink rose design around the sides. There is a gold line that winds around the pattern in an Art Deco fashion. The handles have rippled edges; like a flowing ribbon. They are heavily finished in gold. Which extends to the edges of each piece. The top half is white and the bottom has a pale bluish wash to it. They are both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, paint or gold finish loss. The sugar bowl is 5" across handle to handle and 2 1/2" tall and the creamer is 4 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" tall. Antique Asian Oriental Hand-Painted Porcelain Creamer & Sugar Set Imari-style
This antique Asian/oriental creamer and sugar set is made of porcelain. Hand-painted in a style that looks like“Imari” with much of the decoration done in“rouge de fer” iron red colored glaze) and gold. From my research, I found that although Imari is traditionally considered a Japanese style, that was created in the town of Arita, and then exported to Europe from the port of Imari, Saga, there is Chinese Imari, too. Both Japanese and Chinese Imari usually have a prominent blue underglaze, and that is missing on these pieces, so, not being an Asian pottery expert, I cannot give an accurate description of the style, or age, of these pieces. I did, however, find a piece, on eBay, with a very similar style, that was called“Antique Chinese Oriental Imari. item# 311009198667) Both the creamer and the sugar bowl have hand-painted bird and flower ... moredesigns. With ornate gold detailing that includes a lot of spirals. Besides the gold and iron red colors, there are pinks, browns, black and yellow colors that appear to be overglazes. Inspecting the pieces with a magnifying glass, I found that the lidded sugar bowl has hairline cracks—one on the lid that runs across the diameter, and two on the neck of the bowl. The hairline on the lid goes through the porcelain, but, to my eye. It does not show signs of having been repaired; and those on the neck of the bowl are minor. In comparison, one being about 1 ½ inches long and in a“v” shape, and the other ½ inch long, but hardly noticeable. Happily, I found no damage on the creamer, except for some surface wear from use. The creamer measures about 3 ¾ inches tall by 4 ½ inches wide, and the lidded sugar bowl measures 5 5/8 inches tall by about 6 inches wide. The creamer and sugar have very similar designs, yet they appear to have two different signatures on their bottoms(see the photos) Even with the flaws on the sugar bowl, this antique Asian creamer and sugar bowl set, with its pretty flowers and little birds, is delightful. You are bidding on a lovely. Antique, hand painted, porcelain creamer/pitcher with lid that measures 2 5/8" in diameter and stands 4 7/8" tall to the top of the lid finial. As seen, it is a wonderful, olive, green color with lots of gold gilding. It shows age-appropriate wear with just the tiniest, pinpoint nip on the top rim. It is at 6 o'clock in my last photo and is not readily seen but must be mentioned. There are no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. It looks German, possibly Royal Bayreuth. Vintage Hand Painted French Limoges Porcelain Sugar & Creamer Set Yellow Roses
Hand painted Sugar& Creamer Set. For auction is a vintage unmarked Limoges porcelain sugar& creamer set in a pretty pastel light blue on top and yellow on the bottom encircled with a ring of yellow roses on entwined branches around the middle! These unique pieces have detailed"lettuce edged" handles and are gilded around the top opening edges and handles. Each piece is dated 1938 on the bottom& has the initials of the artist. The 2-handled creamer measures 5" in length x 3 1/4" wide and the sugar measures 4 3/4" in length x 3" wide. The pieces are in very good vintage condition. The creamer seems to have been painted with a small hairline seen mainly from the inside(see second to last photo) The glaze was applied over the hairline so that is the way it came from the manufacturer. Vintage Hand Painted Oriental Porcelain Sugar Bowl and Creamer
There's no identifying marks on this item lot. They are beautifully hand painted. On every square centimeter there are raised paint globules on each. There's hundreds of multi-colored dots. It must have taken one person a very long time to do such close intricate work. They are made of fine thin porcelain. I wish I knew the style so i could tell you. There's no chips. Cracks or discolorations. The two pieces are clean and look to be all but flawless. They are stunning to behold. I see a tiny black pinprick dot on the inside shelf of the sugar bowl. I first want to explain that in the United States from the Mid 1870s until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. Besides the amateur painters you also had professional painters. Professional porcelain decorating studios and ... moresome American poreclain potteries had their own decorating departments. One crucial piece of knowledege you need to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and Bavaria was its own kingdom from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive to buy than our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Therefore we have an abundance of antique hand painted porcelain by Americans on blanks marked from another country. It can be hard at times to distinguish American Painted Porcelain

Famille Rose Cream Jug Welcome to my auction! For your consideration is a very pretty Chinese Famille Rose cream jug. Late 18th to early 19th century. Sparrow beak spout with a baluster form. Hand painted overglaze enamels with a small amount of gold. Unmarked on the underside. Stands at 5.25 inches(13.5 cm) Measures 4 inches(10 cm) at its widest spot. Weight is about 12.5 ounces. Good Condition: Minimal wear to the enamels. Just a little near the top rim and handle. A flaw in the porcelain on one side.this appears to be a skip in the glaze with a small amount of staining. A minor firing crack and small hole underneath the handle from the original manufacturing. Otherwise in nice condition with no damages or repairs.
