Antique oak or walnut Bathroom Commode Cabinet Dresser of Drawers wash stand nr
Used condition~meaning not new and in a different condition other than when originally made. This is a beautiful cabinet with plenty of charm. It could be used as a commode. Small buffet or even a nightstand in a child's room. One pull has damage and t here is a circular stain on the top of cabinet with light scratches from normal use. Could be covered by dresser scarf or perhaps sanded out and refinished. I purchased this item from an estate auction so I do not know its age or maker. Please see pictures for determinations. Antique Wood Mirror Rounded: Late 1800 to 1900
Up for auction is an antique wood mirror with gold trim. I was told the mirror is from the late 1800 to 1900. The back of the mirror has a wood covering. SIZE: 12 inches tall x 10 inches wide. Mirror area is 8 inches x 6.5 inches. CONDITION: Very good. There is a small hole at the top where once a hook was. It can easily be filled in with wood putty. The frame is very solid structually. Finish is original. Item comes from smoke free and pet free home.

A beautiful Antique Victorian carved walnut& beaded wall pocket. The walnut frame features a gorgeous black forest type carved leaf decoration with a figural angel face motif. At top center. The fabric pocket itself displays a lovely embroidered floral motif accented with beaded decoration. The wall pocket measures 22.5" tall x 14" wide. It is in excellent condition for its age, there is a tiny nick to the tip of 1 leaf, shown in photo 5 with arrow. The beaded decoration in in good order with some minor losses. Based on 40 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk as from the 1860's to 1880's which makes this awesome old humpback over a 100 years old- a true antique. This trunk was in good solid condition when the restoration started and the wood bottom is solid and the wood has been given multiple coats of clear. Three original bottom slats and four original metal wheels and the trunk rolls easily. The trunk has the two original hinges which are fancy, tight, HD, work well and the lid closes well. It has 16 pieces of original polished hardware. Still has the original center lock which has been polished and there is no key. Antique Victorian Solid Oak Mirror Beveled Glass 1800's Handcarved Primitive
Here is a early to mid 1800's solid oak mirror with beveled glass. For its age. It's in great shape. The mirror itself could use some attention but there are no cracks or scratches. The top left corner of the glass shows some deterioration. The mirror is still quite clear and vivid. The glass also has a couple of air bubbles in it. The frame is made of solid oak with nice joints on the top corners. The carving up top was all done by hand as is simple yet very elegant. The frame measures 20.5" wide x 17" tall(measured from the top of the design carving) The frame is approx 3/4" thick. It had a solid wood back that is nailed to the frame. For sale today is a medium size nicely restored humpback stagecoach trunk and the restoration turned out just awesome! I did not find any patent dates on thr trunk and based on 40 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk to the 1860's to 1880's which makes this wonderful old humpback a 120 plus years old- a true antique. This trunk was structually sound when the restoration started and it has a good wooden bottom. The wood has multiple coats of clear applied, has the three original slats on the bottom, has the original four metal wheels and the trunk roll easily. For sale today is a very nicely restored small size antique humpback trunk with embossed tin and the restoration turned out very well. The embossed tin pattern is a very fine wire mesh pattern- see pictures. I did not find any patent dates on the trunk and based on 30 plus years restoring trunks I would date this trunk to the 1880's to 1890's which makes this awesome old humpback a 110 to 130 years old- a true antique. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and the metal bottom is in good solid condition. The scene is of the Elizabethian time(Tudor) which was popular in the early 20's. Two men and a woman sit at a table before a fireplace. It is done in needlepoint with the details done in petitpoint. Beautiful antique 1880- 1 890's wicker and rattan tea cart. This cart is a diminutive size and is good quality piece of wicker. The rattan is left natural and the wicker trim is painted in original green. It rolls on four cast iron wheels; with two stationary and two that spin. The iron work is wonderful and the wheels have rubber on the iron. The tray above is removable and covered with the original glass for serving from. This cart is in good condition with only one small area on the bottom shelf with some broken rattan(see photo) There is little wear to the green paint. This piece was well cared for. But it came out of a doctor’s ... morehome, and his wife told me that they purchased it 40 to 50 years ago from a very famous antique auction/shop in the Portland, Maine area, and were informed that it was once owned by a ship’s captain. I don’t believe it’s much older than the 1940s, but take a look at the pictures and you decide. My brother just auctioned a really old screen for more than $600,000. This example is not as old but still worth some money, though, because they paid quite a bit for it all those years ago. Each panel is about 17.5 inches wide, and 94.5 inches tall, with scalloped cutouts in the base. There are separate scenes on every single panel. Each panel has black lacquer, and it’s as though they applied the sheet on one side, then laminated it, carved into the black lacquer panel, then hand painted all the scenes. There is some roughness on the top and the bottom where it has been handled badly over the years, and there is some cracking in a couple panels. This is a beautiful antique washstand with beautiful original finish. Spool legs and towel bars Fine dove-tailed drawer One drawer and one shelf. Made of pine wood and put together with square nails throughout. Measures about 33" tall to top of back-splash. Top is 21" wide and 28 1/2" wide including towel bars. 15" deep. There are two spots that have small cracks I've included close-up photos of; One is on the top right back and the other is on the top of one leg. There is wear. And scuff marks as would be expected of an antique washstand of this age. This could be used as a nightstand. Towel holder, or table. We would prefer local pick-up as although this is very sturdy. Each shelf has 39 holes drilled and originally had a metal rod that slid thru to create slots dividers for sorting mail The base is 83" long x 33 1/2" tall x 201/2" deep. It base is oak except for the 3/4" pipe that forms stretchers and foot rests. There is a metal hook at each end which probably held a canvas mail bag. The top section is 83" long x 37 3/4" tall x 23" deep. The total height or base and top is 71 1/4" tall. The bottom of the drawers are stamped: OHNE S JOSTROM CO. INC. 1928 The case is marked S-101. The drawers are dove-tailed. The very top of the sorting unit is also dove-tailed on each end.
